Arcanine ran to the riverbank and gently called out to Natsume.

Natsume opened her eyes, resting against Dragonair. "Is someone looking for me?"

Arcanine nodded.

"Okay."

"Just a moment."

Natsume put away her fishing rod and walked towards the house.

Toru took out his phone and started filming a video of the farm.

The farm looked quite empty now, but the house was very cozy.

Toru rotated his phone.

Suddenly, a scene entered his frame.

Arcanine was walking leisurely beside a slouching young man, who looked like he had just woken up.

He was yawning, appearing to have just gotten out of bed, holding a bucket in his hand.

Dragonair flew beside the bucket, looking at the fish inside.

This scene made Toru feel quite happy.

"Village chief, what brings you here?"

Natsume approached, puzzled.

The village chief explained, "This young man said he wanted to challenge you."

"I really don't understand. Instead of challenging gyms, what's the deal with challenging you?"

Natsume glanced at Toru and asked, "How did you find out about this place?"

Toru explained, "Hello."

"I heard about you online."

Although Toru was quite boastful online, upon seeing Dragonair next to Natsume, he immediately became polite.

While Toru appeared calm on the outside, his heart was racing.

Those annoying online friends! Dratini and Dragonair don't even know who I am!

Natsume understood after hearing him: "Alright then."

"So it will be a 2v2, right?"

Toru nodded. "No problem."

"Dragonair~"

Dragonair called out to Natsume, wanting to stretch its body.

"Sounds good."

Natsume smiled while petting Dragonair's head. "Then it's your turn."

Toru eagerly handed his phone to the old village chief. "Could you help me record this match?"

"Alright."

The old village chief took the camera.

Rotom took on the role of the referee.

"The rules of the match are 2v2. The match ends when all Pokémon on both sides lose their battle capability."

"Dragonair~"

Dragonair flew to the top of the battle arena.

Toru pulled out a Poké Ball. "Go, Floatzel!"

Floatzel, a Water-type Pokémon, level 30.

Natsume glanced at Floatzel's data. "You go first."

"Floatzel, Aqua Jet!"

A surge of water erupted around Floatzel, propelling it quickly toward Dragonair.

"Thunderbolt."

Zap~ Boom!

Lightning struck Floatzel instantly.

Dragonair's special attack was fully maximized, combined with the type advantage.

That Thunderbolt caused Floatzel to lose its battle capability in an instant.

"What the heck, that was so powerful?"

Toru was a bit shocked.

The old village chief put down his phone and shouted at Toru, "What do you want me to film here?"

Toru's face turned red as he hurried over to retrieve his phone.

"Nevermind, you don't need to film anymore."

Natsume chuckled. "Shall we continue the match?"

"Of course, of course."

Wiping the sweat from his brow, Toru said, "This is my second Pokémon."

"Go, Nuzleaf."

Nuzleaf, a Grass-type Pokémon, was at a higher level of 32.

"Nuzleaf, Razor Leaf!"

This time, Toru was more cautious.

"Dragonair, Flamethrower."

Dragonair faced the incoming Razor Leaf, took a deep breath, and unleashed a powerful flame.

The flame dissolved the Razor Leaf completely and continued toward Nuzleaf with full force.

"Dodge quickly!"

Nuzleaf leaped to the side onto an empty plot of land.

Boom~

The flame struck the ground, sending embers flying.

Nuzleaf felt overwhelming pressure as it looked up at the floating Dragonair.

Natsume calmly commanded, "Extreme Speed!"

In that moment, Dragonair shot forward like a dart, racing toward Nuzleaf.

"Block it with Harden!"

Nuzleaf crossed its arms in front of itself, trying to withstand Dragonair's Extreme Speed.

Dragonair's body slammed into Nuzleaf.

Bang!

The massive impact sent Nuzleaf flying before it crashed hard to the ground.

Dragonair's Extreme Speed was too much for Nuzleaf to withstand!

"Nuzleaf!"

As Nuzleaf struggled to get back up, Dragonair already hovered in front of it.

Flames gathered in Dragonair's mouth.

"Come back, Nuzleaf!"

Toru quickly recalled his Nuzleaf.

Dragonair canceled the release of the Flamethrower.

Toru sighed, "I lost. It wasn't even a fair match."

The old village chief looked at Natsume with surprise. "Natsume, you're really strong!"

Natsume humbly replied, "It's nothing special. We still need to keep working hard."

Hearing this, the village chief shook his head as he looked at Toru.

Toru awkwardly said, "Well, I'll be leaving now."

"When we get stronger, we will come back to challenge you again."

As he said this, Toru suddenly felt as if he were speaking to a gym leader.

When Toru loses in gym battles, he always leaves with a line like that.

After Toru left, the old village chief turned to Natsume and said, "There have been significant changes here."

Natsume smiled and said, "That's because there are many companions helping out."

"Houndoom~"

Houndoom, along with Houndour and Sandslash, came running back together.

They heard the commotion here.

"Welcome back!"

Natsume waved at them.

"Chirp chirp~"

Sandslash and the others quickened their pace.

Toru sat in the vehicle, reflecting on why he had lost.

Soon, he came to a conclusion.

"Those annoying online friends! You didn't mention that this farm owner has a Dragonair!"

Fuming, Toru opened his phone and left a message on Naoki's account: "Are you stupid?"

"You can't tell the difference between Dragonair and Dratini? I bet your gym badge is fake!"

At that moment, Naoki was having dinner.

He noticed that annoying online friend was leaving comments on his account again.

After glancing at the message, he suddenly felt unable to eat.

Naoki typed back: "You think I can't tell the difference between Dratini and Dragonair? Not everyone is as clueless as you!"

Toru: "I actually battled with Dragonair! How was I supposed to know?"

Naoki: "I get it! You must have lost to Dratini and thought it was Dragonair, right?"

Toru: "Bull! I clearly lost to Dragonair!"

Bulbasaur No Worries: "Do you think it's possible that Dratini evolved?"

Naoki: "Uh…"

Toru: "That could be a possibility."

Fire Type Number One: "So you lost to that farm owner?"

Toru: "he really is strong."

Bulbasaur No Worries: "Did you lose to a newbie?"

Toru: "What can I do? After all, it's Dragonair."

Sun Pokémon: "I want to go challenge that farm too. Send the location."

Toru: "It seems there's no map available. You'll need to navigate to Rice Fragrance Village first."
