Pokemon: I am Gary

Chapter 122: Chapter 122: Rest Day Routine with Friends

The morning of the rest day was very calm. Gary was awakened by Eevee licking him at half past nine.

"Hmm~ Good morning, Eevee-chan~" Gary rubbed his messy hair, and his long eyelashes fluttered slightly.

Bang! Just as he sat up, an egg fell from the ceiling and landed right in Gary's arms.

The eggshell opened gently, revealing the cute little face of Togepi.

"Toge~" The little guy happily waved its arms and legs, seeming very satisfied with this way of waking up.

Gary looked up and saw Gengar still sound asleep, stuck to the ceiling.

Speaking of which, how did this guy manage to float while sleeping so soundly…

He grabbed a pillow and threw it at the ceiling. Smack!

The soft touch made Gengar rub its eyes in confusion. Upon seeing Togepi in Gary's arms, the golden caretaker was instantly shocked!

"Hey, don't really fly out!" Gary complained helplessly.

Goodness, sleeping so deeply that the child fell! Gengar gracefully landed on the ground, squatted down, pouted, and started drawing circles…

"Alright, alright… You didn't mean it. Anyway, you're awake now; go feed Togepi." As he picked up Togepi, Gary felt his arms sink.

Wow, this heavy feeling; Togepi must have accumulated a lot of happiness~

Thinking for a moment, Gary casually exchanged for a silver-white little bell from the system.

He threaded it with a red string and put it around Togepi's neck.

"Chakido?" Togepi curiously tinkered with the bell, and the crisp and healing sound immediately made all the Pokémon in the room close their eyes in peace.

"Now you won't lose track of Togepi anymore~" Gary said with a smile.

"Gengga~" Gengar nodded happily. He took Togepi outside to heat some milk.

Seeing Eevee-chan's eager eyes, Gary smiled slightly and patted Eevee's head. "Don't worry; I've already thought of your gift. After the league competition ends, we'll go get it for you."

"Eevee~" Eevee modestly closed its eyes; even without using psychic power, Gary could feel its joy.

After getting up and washing up, he glanced at Lorelei's room. The door was still closed; it seemed she wasn't awake yet.

Gary tiptoed into the kitchen to think about breakfast.

Recently, both he and Lorelei had been a bit tired; what should they eat to replenish their energy?

Gary slammed his hand down. "Alright then, let's cook some porridge."

Ginger was sliced into strips, green onions were cut into sections, corn kernels were prepared separately, and shrimp were cleaned and marinated briefly with wine to remove the fishy smell.

Then he simmered white rice in a clay pot over low heat. When it was half-cooked, he added shrimp, ginger slices, green onion sections, and sweet corn kernels while turning up the heat.

Shrimp porridge—fresh and smooth!

After thinking for a moment, he also prepared red dates, goji berries, and yam, cooking them all together with brown sugar for a pot of sweet porridge to nourish energy and blood.

While both clay pots were bubbling on the stove, Gary took out some semi-finished soup dumplings he had bought from the food court earlier and placed them in the steamer to heat up.

Breakfast was ready!

After feeding breakfast to the Pokémon, Lorelei's room finally made a sound as she opened her door.

Wearing a silk spaghetti strap nightgown with one shoulder strap slipping off, her snow-white shoulder and collarbone were fully visible.

Rubbing her wine-red long hair, the Ice Princess walked down the stairs with dreamy eyes.

Her unmade-up pale skin looked flawless as Lorelei slightly raised her head to smell the delicious aroma wafting from the kitchen and revealed a reassuring smile.

"Good morning, Lorelei." Gary smiled as he handed her a cup of hibiscus tea.

"Hmm~ What time is it? I feel like I've slept forever these past few days." After sipping some tea, Lorelei lazily asked.

Gary took out his phone to check. "It's just eleven o'clock; we can get ready for breakfast now."

"Oh~ Then I'll go wash up first." Turning around to enter the washroom, Lorelei quickly completed her simple morning routine.

When she turned back around, Gary had already set up the clay pot and steamer on the dining table.

He served Lorelei a bowl of red date goji yam porridge and himself a bowl of shrimp porridge. Gary touched his earlobe. "Let's eat!"

Lorelei didn't hold back either; she sat across from Gary in her nightgown. She gently blew on her bowl of porridge before carefully sipping some sweet porridge.

"Hmm~ So delicious." Surprised, she covered her mouth with her hand as she perked up.

"Of course! Just look at who made it." Gary proudly lifted his bowl of porridge and started eating.

After leisurely finishing breakfast, Gengar took over washing dishes while Gary and Lorelei lazily sat on the sofa in the living room chatting.

"Your Gengar is really quite helpful!" Lorelei said while watching Gengar happily washing dishes in the kitchen. She nodded in praise. "Even my butler isn't this capable!"

"Hahaha! Maybe he realized that doing housework is more meaningful than pulling pranks." Gary warmly watched Gengar busying himself.

"By the way, Lorelei, do you have any plans for today?" Gary asked curiously.

This beautiful sister hadn't changed out of her clothes; she was still wearing her thin nightgown wrapped in a shawl—clearly not planning to go out.

"It's a holiday today; I don't want to go out…" Lorelei leaned back on the sofa comfortably and stretched lazily; her alluring curves made Gary gulp down water repeatedly…

Thinking about yesterday's mobile game test package sent by the development company, Gary shook his Rotom Phone. "How about we play a couple of games?"

Lorelei rested her chin on one hand and thought for a moment before smiling and nodding. "Sure~"

After sending Lorelei the installation package, Gary started the game.

Pokémon Glory League launched! It's similar to MOBA games like League of Legends; its graphics are very exquisite. Currently, only 102 Pokémon characters can be selected.

New Pokémon will be added later on.

Entering the character selection page, Gary swiftly typed. "I'll play jungler on lane one; if you don't give me that role—I'll feed!"

Lorelei laughed at him and imitated him saying playfully. "I'll play mid-lane on lane three; if you don't give me that role—I'll feed!"

The second lane directly initiated voice chat: "I'm going! Is this team filled with noobs?"

Gary glanced at their IDs; could this player be some Fire-type Elite?

This game only released five hundred testing slots so far; besides that, Elite Four members and Gym Leaders also have extra testing qualifications.

So encountering familiar faces isn't unlikely at all.

"I'll play support on lane four; you should pick an archer for lane five!" ID

"I only know how to play Blastoise!" ID

Gary twitched his mouth—wow! How did it feel like all teammates were not simple? He directly typed: "Play cautiously; I'll carry you!"

Instantly locking in Scyther, Gary grinned—can't say I'm not confident; as long as I'm happy—that's all that matters!

...

Twenty minutes later—looking at the screen showing 0-5 stats made Gary's mouth twitch. "This trash game! The Slash Commander is too overpowered! Buff Scyther already!!"

In Unova Champion Castle, Dark-type Elite Grimsley leaned back against his throne while smiling as he put down his phone.

Slash Commander stats: 12-0-8—victory!

"This game is actually quite easy~ The Slash Commander is indeed awesome~"

Lorelei smiled as she looked at Gary. "Little Brother Gary, shall we continue?"

This sister played mid-lane Frostlass, freezing whoever she caught; she just secured victory against their opponents…

Gary was speechless—this shouldn't be happening! I'm supposed to be an Honor of Kings master—a carrying machine! Why did I lose today?

Unwilling to accept defeat, Gary sat up straight with determination in his eyes. "Let's go again! This time I will definitely carry!"
