Pokemon: Gym Leader

Chapter 163: Chapter 163: You ****

"Are we surrounded by Team Plasma?"

"No, no, no!"

Lillie's eyes sparkled as she looked at the black-clad young man exuding an unparalleled aura. Despite her upbringing as an educated lady, she couldn't find the right words to describe the excitement she felt.

"Brother, you're amazing!"

"Lillie."

"Yes, Brother!"

"Call Champion Alder and ask him to bring officers to take these people away."

Dylan handed his phone to Lillie, keeping his gaze fixed on Ghetsis and N.

"This is just perfect. I was planning to leave Unova soon, and yet here comes such a delightful surprise."

"Got it!"

Lillie felt it was her duty. She grabbed the phone, quickly navigated to Alder's number, and dialed.

"Hello? Champion Alder? This is Lillie. My brother has surrounded Team Plasma single-handedly. Can you send Officer Jenny and her team to handle this?"

"How many? Hmm... I'd say there are about 20 to 30 members here."

Lillie glanced around, roughly estimating the number.

Meanwhile, on Ghetsis's side—

"Father, that's Kyurem!!"

N was stunned. That gray dragon—there was no mistaking it. It was Kyurem! But how? How could Dylan have captured Kyurem? It didn't make sense!

Just yesterday, Kyurem was chasing Dylan and Reshiram. If not for N and Zekrom being lured away, Reshiram might not have survived.

But today, Kyurem was Dylan's Pokémon?

N couldn't comprehend it.

"…"

Ghetsis's face darkened, his fury palpable. Of course, he recognized Kyurem—it was a crucial part of his plan. But that plan wasn't supposed to start yet!

"N, go and defeat Reshiram and Kyurem!"

"??? Father?"

N was genuinely shocked by his adoptive father's command.

What made Ghetsis think he could defeat Kyurem, let alone Reshiram? Zekrom barely escaped with its life yesterday!

"What's wrong? I raised you to fulfill this idealistic path, and now our greatest obstacle stands before us. Are you going to back down, N?"

Ghetsis's frustration was mounting, his eyes boring into N.

Faced with Ghetsis's absurd command, N fell silent.

"N!! Are you going to disappoint me like this?!"

"Father, even Zekrom is no match for Kyurem. We need to retreat." N pressed his lips together, trying to reason with Ghetsis.

"Silence! N, you are the king of Team Plasma! How can you say such things?"

Ghetsis was livid, enraged by N's perceived betrayal.

"…" N's silence deepened.

He couldn't understand how the once-wise Ghetsis had become so irrational.

Colress, observing the scene, stifled a laugh. Ghetsis was losing it, and N wasn't much better, trying to reason with someone whose mind was clearly unhinged.

Should I try to sneak away? Colress pondered, adjusting his glasses. But no—Reshiram and Kyurem were watching them closely. Any attempt to flee would likely provoke an attack.

For now, he decided to wait and see.

"Have you two finished your argument yet?" Dylan's voice interrupted their tense exchange.

"If you want to keep arguing, you can do it in jail. You can even fight each other there."

Dylan's casual tone made Ghetsis's face twitch with fury.

"Champion Alder will be here soon to take over. What a pity—I was planning to wipe out your entire organization someday, but you delivered yourselves right to my doorstep."

"Reshiram."

"Roooar!"

Reshiram's majestic cry echoed as it soared into the sky.

Black Dragon! Fight me to the death! Today, I'll show you what truth is!

Though most couldn't understand Reshiram's roar, Dylan and N heard it loud and clear.

While N looked grim, Dylan found the truth-driven dragon's antics amusing.

Reshiram dove into the storm clouds, searching for Zekrom.

"Kyurem," Dylan called out.

"Roar!"

Kyurem's bellow shook the earth as icy energy radiated from its body, frost spreading rapidly.

Team Plasma members, realizing the danger, either released their Pokémon or cautiously retreated.

"Take it easy. Just incapacitate them," Dylan instructed.

Kyurem unleashed a radiant icy shockwave—Glaciate. The freezing energy spread like a tidal wave, enveloping everything in its path.

Within seconds, the entire area was transformed into a frozen wasteland.

"...So terrifying…"

Lillie clung to Dylan's sleeve, seeking comfort as she stared at the frost-covered landscape.

The once-proud Plasma grunts were now frozen solid, their expressions locked in fear.

Even their Pokémon were encased in ice.

"What a chilling sight." Dylan caught a falling snowflake, his amused gaze fixed on Ghetsis.

"You!!" Ghetsis glared, trembling with rage.

"N! Are you just going to stand there? Use Zekrom to defeat him!"

Ghetsis was desperate, his plan crumbling before his eyes.

"Father, please retreat. I'll hold him off," N tried to persuade him, knowing Zekrom stood no chance.

But Dylan cut in, his tone light yet menacing.

"There's no need to decide. Neither of you is leaving here today."

"There's no need to discuss further. I can responsibly tell you both—you aren't going anywhere."

Dylan clicked his tongue. Coming right to the door and still thinking about leaving? What a joke.

Suddenly, Reshiram's telepathy came through.

"Dylan, I can't find the black dragon..."

"?"

Dylan froze and looked up at the sky. Reshiram emerged from the dark clouds, clearly having searched thoroughly within them but finding no trace of the black dragon.

Seriously? The black dragon ran off this fast, abandoning its own chosen hero?

Dylan's expression turned strange as he glanced behind at Kyurem. There was no need to guess—Zekrom must have bolted so quickly because of Kyurem's presence.

Kyurem: "?"

Kyurem returned the look with a puzzled expression.

"What a shameless black dragon! Ashamed to even share the title of dragon god, it actually abandoned the hero it chose and ran away. How does it deserve to be called a dragon god?"

Reshiram descended from the sky, cursing as it went. It had been planning to give Zekrom a good thrashing today, but Zekrom's utter lack of backbone was beyond belief.

Disgusting! Absolutely disgusting! Even I, the white dragon, have never stooped so low!

"N, where's your Zekrom?"

"..."

N was silent. Evidently, he was well aware of Zekrom's escape.

"As expected of you~"

Seeing this, Dylan raised an eyebrow. Clearly, the moment Kyurem appeared, N had realized things wouldn't end well today and had Zekrom leave in advance.

No wonder the black clouds above had stopped flashing blue lightning for a while—it seemed the black dragon had hidden its presence and flown away long ago, even discarding the clouds it brought.

"Father, you must leave quickly," N urged his adoptive father once again.

"Then I'll leave it to you."

Ghetsis's expression flickered with uncertainty, but he ultimately decided to retreat.

"You aren't going anywhere."

"Dylan! I won't let you harm my father!"

"Oh? But even if I don't act, you still won't be able to leave," Dylan said with a smirk, raising an eyebrow at the stern-faced N.

"?" N froze. What did that mean?

"Take a look behind you," Dylan gestured at something behind N.

When N turned around, he was completely stunned.

Three humanoid, insect-like Pokémon stood in a triangular formation, facing a pale-faced Ghetsis.

These were Genesect, the ultimate ancient hunters revived and modified by Colress.

Ghetsis's face turned ghastly as he glared at Colress, who stood behind the Genesect, wearing a faint smile.

"Colress!!!"

Ghetsis's voice was practically squeezed out of his throat.

"What are you doing!!"

Ghetsis roared. This Colress—using his machines, his laboratory, and the fossils he provided—was now turning the weapons he resurrected against him?!!

What utter betrayal!

"I'm not doing anything, esteemed Sage Ghetsis."

Colress adjusted his glasses, his pristine white coat standing out starkly in the dim environment. His voice was calm but razor-sharp.

"As a man of justice aligned with the Unova League, how could I not apprehend you, the leader of an evil organization, upon encountering you? Do you see any issue with that?"

"Colress!!!"

Ghetsis clutched his chest, his eyes burning red as he glared at Colress in rage.

This guy! He was turning the tables at a time like this!

"Don't worry. I'll be sure to visit you in prison when I have the time, Sage Ghetsis," Colress sighed.

"Colress!! I'll **** you, you ****… blegh~!!"

Ghetsis couldn't hold it back anymore and spat out blood.

"Father!!"

"Oh dear, Sage Ghetsis, you really need to take care of your health. How could you cough up blood just like that?"

Colress spread his hands innocently.

"You all saw it—he did it himself. I didn't even touch him."
