Pokemon Earth’s Parallel World: Dragon Trainer

Chapter 115 – Ace

Fraxure collided with Ursaring's full-on strike. At first, he was able to contend with it, but suddenly, his right arm twitched, and a wave of dizziness made him step back.

Floyd, sensing the danger, knew that the effects of Arbok's Poison Fang were setting in. He warned Fraxure with urgency, "Fraxure, you're poisoned, you need to end this quickly!"

With formidable willpower, Fraxure forced his body to its limits. Even though he was injured and panting heavily, he knew he had to remain standing to defeat his opponent.

"ROAR!" Ursaring lunged with all his might, using Fury Swipes against Fraxure.

"Fra-xure!" Despite the poison coursing rapidly from his tail and arm, Fraxure did not budge, and a green color shone on both of his claws as they met with Ursaring's attack.

Screech!

Fraxure managed to scratch Ursaring's right arm, effectively deflecting the attack.

"ROAR!" Ursaring's wail filled the air as his right arm bore the marks of Fraxure's claws, blood starting to drip from the wounds. His Fury Swipes was neutralized in one fell swoop.

Full of rage, Ursaring swung his left arm, still using Slash.

Fraxure defended with both of his arms using Protect, and for a moment, both were locked in a stalemate. Then, the poison struck his body again, causing his muscles to weaken.

The stalemate shifted in Ursaring's favor as he pressed Fraxure to the ground with his left arm.

Fraxure felt dizzy, and his consciousness wavered. Were it not for his intense willpower, he would have already collapsed. The poison had spread to his lower body, making his torso numb and weak, also on his arm to his shoulder.

"Fraxure!" Floyd called upon his Dragon Power, directing it towards Fraxure. This time, he decided to bend the rules because he knew it was the best opportunity for Fraxure to advance. Missing this chance could mean a long wait to reach the 'Ace' level.

As the Dragon Power rushed into Fraxure's body, it collided with the poison, providing Fraxure with a slight return of vitality, enough to allow for temporary movement.

"Fra-xure!" With his last ounce of strength and bolstered by Floyd's dragon power, a dark verdant energy enveloped both of Fraxure's claws. Once suppressed by Ursaring, Fraxure now summoned newfound strength, pushing upwards with both arms against Ursaring's oppressive left arm.

Ursaring, taken aback by this resurgence, he brought in his injured right arm to bolster his force, but it was not enough to keep Fraxure down.

Fraxure continued to rise. As he regained his stance, looking directly into Ursaring's eyes, his arms pulsed with a potent dark verdant energy.

Whishhhh

With a swift movement, Fraxure used his claws to force Ursaring's arms away, effectively deflecting them. Ursaring's arms were thrown aside, and then he saw Fraxure lunging towards him with full force.

Screech!

"ROAR!" Ursaring bellowed in agony, feeling the intense pain coursing through his body as his consciousness slipped away. Then, with a final sigh, he succumbed to the darkness and lost consciousness.

Pug.

The sound of Ursaring's fall resonated as he collapsed to the ground, defeated by Fraxure.

Floyd, Horsea, Growlithe, Dratini, Munchlax, the five Gooms, and the rest of the wild Pokémon who had been watching were amazed and surprised by the spectacle. The battle had been shockingly intense.

Dratini's eyes sparkled with admiration as he looked at Fraxure, thinking, 'Elder brother is truly strong, incredibly so. I want to be like him. Master was right; I shouldn't be proud of my current strength, for I am still not strong enough. I must train harder! I desire to evolve into a Dragonite!'

With his arrogance and pride now dissolved, Dratini's feelings transformed into a blend of desire, admiration, and resolve. He then moved a few steps away and began to train on his own, dedicating himself to the mastery of his moves.

Floyd hurriedly administered an antidote powder into Fraxure's mouth, then rushed toward Ursaring to apply a Healing Powder.

Cherrim and Cherubi also sprang into action, using their moves to aid in healing Ursaring. Floyd thought to himself that this Pokémon had suffered considerably, even more so than Arbok.

"Teddiursa~" In a panic, Teddiursa hurried to his father's side, tears in his eyes as he pleaded with Floyd.

"Don't worry, it will be fine," Floyd reassured him, though he felt embarrassed by the situation. He continued to apply Healing Powder to Ursaring's wounds, then retrieved a bandage from his backpack and carefully wrapped it around Ursaring's right arm and torso.

The injuries were severe, and Ursaring required further treatment from a Chansey. Floyd began to carry Ursaring; despite the Pokémon being heavier than Munchlax, he managed to lift him.

As he walked towards Arbok, who was still conscious but immobilized, he noticed Ekans's worried expression. "Don't worry," Floyd assured him.

Arbok, too, had suffered injuries, though they were less severe compared to Ursaring's. Floyd set Ursaring down momentarily to tend to Arbok with a Healing Powder. Cherrim and Cherubi continued their healing efforts, and after some time, Floyd bandaged Arbok's head and tail.

Calling Fraxure over, Floyd saw that the antidote powder had effectively neutralized the poison, but his injuries persisted. Floyd applied Healing Powder to Fraxure and secured a bandage over his wounds.

Upon checking his stats, Floyd saw that Fraxure had finally reached the 'Ace' level.

Pokémon: Fraxure (Shiny)

Level: 40

Type: Dragon

Ability: Mold Breaker

Moves:

Beginner Level: Dragon Dance, Crunch, Protect, Dragon Rage, Assurance, Dual Chop, Dragon Tail, Dragon Pulse, Swords Dance, Scary Face, Poison Jab, (Outrage)

Genetic Skill: First Impression

Remarkably, Fraxure's Dragon Claw had advanced to the top of his Intermediate Mastery, surpassing Dig and First Impression. Breaking Swipe also had improved surpassing Slash.

Within the Beginner Mastery, Protect, Dragon Rage, Swords Dance, and Dragon Pulse had all seen improvements. Although Dragon Dance had not progressed, Floyd suspected it was nearly at the peak of Beginner Mastery.

And unexpectedly, Fraxure had acquired Poison Jab.

Floyd surmised this was due to Fraxure's last desperate fight while extremely poisoned, combined with the breakthrough to the 'Ace' level and the dragon power that had fought the poison, enabling him to defeat Ursaring.

Despite the risks, the battle's outcome had been fortuitous for Fraxure.

Noticing Fraxure's eyes fluttering closed, Floyd realized his Pokémon was exhausted and needed rest. "Munchlax, carry your brother. We're going to Chansey," he instructed.

Other than Fraxure, Munchlax was the most dependable when it came to assistance. With a nod, Munchlax lifted Fraxure. Though Fraxure attempted to resist, Floyd advised him to relax and sleep.

Fatigued from the battle, Fraxure soon fell asleep.

Turning to his other Pokémon, Floyd commanded, "Horsea, Growlithe, Goomy, find Dratini and tell him he needs to come with me to Chansey. If he resists, you just have to beat him."

Horsea responded with a mischievous snicker, while Goomy and Growlithe regarded Dratini with sympathetic glances towards who was training few meters away, as if to apologize for the impending intervention.

Floyd then hoisted Ursaring onto his back and made his way to the Beast Sanctuary, with all his Pokémon, including Teddiursa, following behind.
