Pokémon: Day Bringer

Haru was heading to Whitney's Gym, the moment he had been waiting for. This was it—his final battle to earn the 8th badge. How fitting it was that he would face off against his girlfriend, fulfilling the promise he made.

As he approached the Gym, he could see the excitement building within him. Entering, he and his group noticed that Whitney was already in a battle with a trainer. To no one's surprise, she was dominating the match.

When she saw Haru, she immediately dropped what she was doing, rushing toward him and kissing him passionately. Despite seeing him just the day before, she couldn't resist. Jessie, James, and Casey stood off to the side, feeling like third wheels.

However, their moment was interrupted by an angry shout from the trainer.

"Hey, what are you doing, you B@#TCH!" the boy yelled, his voice full of immaturity.

That was a mistake. Haru immediately stepped in, pushing Whitney aside as he faced the young trainer.

"What did you just call her?" Haru's voice was calm, but his eyes were cold with fury.

The boy, clearly spoiled and unaware of his mistake, repeated himself. "A B@#TCH."

Haru's eyes narrowed, and he allowed his aura to flare up, surrounding the words with a powerful energy to make them reverberate through the gym. "Oh, I'm going to make you eat those words, spoiled brat."

Without hesitation, Haru sent out his Gyarados. The massive red sea serpent loomed over the boy, its eyes glowing with intensity. If a regular Gyarados was intimidating, this one was ten times more so.

The kid didn't stand a chance. It was a one-sided battle that ended quickly, with the boy rushing off to the Pokémon Center in defeat, his ego shattered.

Haru turned back to his group, casually asking, "So, did I... go a bit overboard, guys?"

Whitney then went to the wall, as she pressed the button on as a set of 5 PokeBall came out, each of them was an Ultraball as it was her team for any trainer that cane with 6 - 8 badge.

Whitney then took her said as she looked at Haru. "I hope your ready Haru".

Haru just looked at her as he hold the PokeBall. "Oh definitely".

It was a 5 V 5, as then Whitney then sent out her first Pokèmon as it was shiny Miltank. The Cow Pokémon stood talk ready to fight, Haru then sent out Gyarados, as the red serpent came out of its PokeBall, as intimidati took effect lowering the Miltank attacks

Whitney looked at Haru giant Gyarados she finally noticed the size. "Ok if normal Gyarados are monster this one is".

Haru just finished her words. "A monster, yeah not the first who said that".

They started the battle, Whitney told her Miltank to use rollout, as Haru told Gyarados to does it and Gyarados does, then Haru told Gyarados told it use Taunt seeing that the Miltank got a bit angry it then rushed with a rollout but then changed it to body slam, as Haru then told her to use Waterfall, Gyarados cover her body in water enegry ssn swims down as it back, Haru then told Gyarados to use Dragon dance and then follow up with an earthquake

The battlefield trembled as Gyarados executed Dragon Dance, increasing its attack and speed. Whitney's shiny Miltank skidded to a stop after the failed Body Slam, its eyes narrowing with determination.

Whitney smirked. "Alright, Miltank, let's show them what we've got! Use Milk Drink!"

Miltank began to glow faintly as it healed itself, regaining some of the stamina lost in the earlier exchange.

Haru didn't waste a moment. "Gyarados, now's your chance! Use Earthquake!"

The massive red serpent slammed its tail into the ground, creating a powerful shockwave that rippled through the gym. The entire battlefield shook as Miltank was thrown into the air, landing hard. It struggled to stand but eventually managed to steady itself.

Whitney grimaced. "Not bad, Haru. But we're not going down that easily. Miltank, use Zen Headbutt!"

With a glow surrounding its head, Miltank charged forward at high speed, aiming directly for Gyarados. Haru quickly reacted.

"Gyarados, dodge it and counter with Waterfall!"

Gyarados slithered to the side, narrowly avoiding the glowing head of Miltank. Then, with a roar, it launched itself into the air, its body shimmering with water energy, and came crashing down on the shiny Miltank. The impact was devastating, and Miltank was thrown backward, crashing into a nearby obstacle.

Whitney sighed as she recalled her fainted Pokémon. "You're not holding back, are you?" she teased, a playful grin returning to her face. "Alright, let's turn things up. Go, Clefable!"

From her next Ultra Ball emerged Clefable, its star-shaped ears twitching as it prepared to battle. The fairy Pokémon looked graceful but dangerous, its eyes locked on Gyarados.

Haru didn't hesitate. "Gyarados, use Dragon Dance again!"

Gyarados began to glow with a crimson aura as it powered up once more, becoming even faster and stronger. But Whitney was ready.

"Clefable, use Moonblast!"

Clefable formed a sphere of glowing lunar energy and launched it toward Gyarados. The attack hit hard, causing Gyarados to reel back slightly, but the serpent roared defiantly, refusing to go down.

Haru clenched his fist. "You've got this, Gyarados! Use Waterfall!"

Gyarados lunged forward with incredible speed, she went to the air cover in water energy as she landed down on Clefable. The fairy Pokémon cried out in pain but retaliated with a Thunderbolt at close range.

The battlefield lit up with electricity as Gyarados took the full brunt of the attack, its body shuddering from the damage. Haru's heart raced, but he knew Gyarados had more left to give.

"Finish it with Waterfall! Give it everything you've got!"

Gyarados roared and launched itself into the air once again, its body glowing with water energy. With incredible force, it came crashing down on Clefable, creating a massive splash and knocking the fairy Pokémon out.

Whitney recalled her second Pokémon, her smile unfazed. "You're really good, Haru. But the battle's far from over. Let's see how you handle my Kangaskhan! Go!"

The large, intimidating Kangaskhan emerged, pounding its chest and ready for battle. Haru knew this was going to be a tough fight, but he was ready for the challenge.

"Let's keep going, Gyarados!" Haru shouted, the battle heating up.

Haru looked at Gyarados. "Dragon Dance, then follow up with Waterfall".

Gyarados did that, as then she moved to. Attack, Whitney seeing this told Kangeshkan to moved out of the way as he did, Whitney then told Chruch the move hit not only did the dark type move hit, but then Gyarados defensive dropped a bit.

Whitney laughed at that. "Kangeshkan uses Hammer Arm".

The Kangaroo Pokémon looked at Gyarados as his arm then got cover Fighting energy, as Haru told Gyarados to dodged and Gyarados does as then fighting move hit the ground and broke, as then Whitney tolf Kangeshkan to use Outrage and it contect sending Gyarados, then Whitney told Kangeshkan to use another Hammer Arm as it hit, with the damage from thunderbolt and then the defense down and the attack it got, it was enough to knock it out.

Haru sigehd and called back Gyarados. "You did good busy, now rest".

Haru then sent out his next Pokémon, as for the first time in a while Meowth came out Pokéball, as Meowth looked at Kangeshkan.

Whitney looked at Meowth, as she spoke. "So Meowth Evolved".

Haru looked at Whitney. "Yeah, meet Perfigther, but he still likes to be called as Meowth, hey it is ok if you lose".

Meowth just looked back at Haru. "Really Boss, you just expect me to lose?".

Haru chuckled at Meowth's response. "No, buddy, I don't expect you to lose. I expect you to fight like you always do—smart and fierce. Show them what you're made of."

Meowth—or rather Perfighter—grinned, flexing his claws. "Now you're talkin', Boss. Time to show this oversized kangaroo who's boss!"

Whitney smirked. "Alright, Kangaskhan, let's see how this evolved Meowth holds up. Use Outrage again!"

Kangaskhan charged forward, surrounded by a fiery, chaotic energy as it unleashed another Outrage. Haru was quick to counter.

"Meowth, dodge it with Quick Attack, then strike back with Iron Tail!"

Meowth darted to the side with lightning speed, narrowly avoiding Kangaskhan's rampage. Then, with his tail glowing metallic silver, he leaped into the air and slammed it down onto Kangaskhan's back. The attack landed with a heavy thud, causing Kangaskhan to stumble.

Whitney grit her teeth. "Recover with Drain Punch! Don't let it recover!"

Kangaskhan swiftly turned and threw a glowing fist toward Meowth. Haru saw it coming.

"Meowth, counter with Payback!"

As Kangaskhan's punch connected, Meowth absorbed the hit, his body glowing dark purple. He then retaliated with double the force, sending Kangaskhan skidding back. The powerful move left both Pokémon breathing heavily.

Whitney's confidence wavered for a moment, but she steadied herself. "We're not out yet! Use Hammer Arm!"

Kangaskhan's arm glowed with fighting energy again as it charged forward. Haru grinned.

"Now's the time! Meowth, use Swagger!"

Meowth smirked and taunted Kangaskhan with exaggerated gestures, fueling its anger and confusing it. The Hammer Arm missed wildly, and Kangaskhan stumbled as it swung at nothing but air.

Haru saw the opening. "Finish it with Slash!"

Meowth's claws glowed brightly as he dashed toward the confused Kangaskhan and delivered a clean, critical strike across its chest. With a groan, the mighty Pokémon toppled over, fainted.

Whitney called back Kangaskhan, her smile returning. "Well, that was impressive. Your Meowth's no joke, Haru. But this battle's still far from over! Go, Wigglytuff!"

The balloon Pokémon appeared, its round eyes sparkling as it prepared to battle. Haru exchanged a glance with Meowth.

"You ready for another round?" Haru asked.

Meowth grinned. "Bring it on, Boss."

The battle continued, the tension between Haru and Whitney growing more intense with each move.

Whitney smiled as she sent out Wigglytuff. "Alright, girl, let's show him what you're made of! Start with Sing!"

The Wigglytuff began to emit a soothing, melodic sound, aimed at putting Meowth to sleep. Haru narrowed his eyes.

"Meowth, plug your ears and use Shadow Claw!"

Meowth quickly covered his ears with his paws and leapt forward, his claws glowing with a ghostly energy. He slashed at Wigglytuff, landing a solid hit. However, Wigglytuff's defenses were impressive, and it tanked the attack.

Whitney grinned. "Nice try, but Wigglytuff can take a hit. Use Dazzling Gleam! "

The Wigglytuff shone brightly, unleashing a dazzling burst of light. Meowth tried to dodge, but the move hit squarely, sending him flying back. He struggled to stand.

"Come on, Meowth! One more Shadow Claw!" Haru called out.

Meowth charged again, landing another hit, but it wasn't enough. Whitney capitalized on the moment.

"Finish it with Play Rough!"

Wigglytuff rushed forward, its playful yet powerful attack knocking Meowth out. Haru sighed and recalled him.

"You did amazing, Meowth. Take a good rest."

Whitney smirked. "Two down, Haru. Think you can still win?"

Haru grabbed his next Pokéball, his confidence unwavering. "Oh, I know I can. It's time to bring out the big guns. Ursaring, you're up!"

With a flash of light, Haru's Ursaring emerged, roaring loudly and pounding her chest. The sheer presence of the bear Pokémon caused Wigglytuff to flinch slightly.

Whitney crossed her arms. "Alright, Haru. Let's see what your Ursaring's got!"

Haru pointed at Wigglytuff. "Start with Bulk Up!"

Ursaring flexed its muscles, boosting its attack and defense. Whitney countered quickly.

"Wigglytuff, use Dazzling Gleam again!"

The sparkling light filled the battlefield, but Ursaring stood firm, taking the hit without flinching.

"Now, Ursaring, use Hammer Arm!"

Ursaring's arm glowed with fighting energy as it charged forward, slamming into Wigglytuff with tremendous force. The impact sent Wigglytuff flying, and it hit the ground hard, fainted.

Haru then looked at Haru as she called back Wigglytuff. "Ok, I have 4 down and you have 2, will this next one will take your Ursaring and your next Pokémon down".

Haru had a feeling what they Pokémon might be. "We will see about that".

Whitney then sent out a normal Pokéball, as then with a flash of light a Pokémon came it zoomed passed Haru as it went to the sky as it landed next to Whitney as it was Staraptor, as Haru looked at Whitney.

Haru looked at Whitney as he spoke. "Your really going to use my original starter agent's me".

Whitney looked at Haru as she spoke. "You said you wanted to prove to him, you have changed right, what better way then this Haru, Staraptor brave Bird then follow up with Close Combat then use Double then folloed by Giga Impact".

Haru just looked at his old Pokémon as he sighed and though to him self. "From what I remember, Staraptor has Intimidate as it's ability and Jolly as it's Nature, I don't think I am winning, this one".

Haru clenched his fist as Staraptor took to the skies, its presence commanding the battlefield. He knew how strong his former Pokémon was, and Whitney was using it to its fullest potential.

"Alright, Ursaring, let's show Staraptor how much we've grown! Start with Protect!" Haru shouted.

As Staraptor dived with Brave Bird, Ursaring surrounded itself with a shimmering green barrier, nullifying the attack. However, the sheer force of the Brave Bird caused cracks in the protective shield.

"Now, Ursaring, counter with Thunder Punch!"

Ursaring swung its electrified fist upward, aiming to hit Staraptor as it flew past. The attack connected, sending a jolt of electricity through Staraptor, but the damage wasn't enough to bring it down.

Whitney smirked. "Close Combat, now!"

Staraptor dove back, unleashing a flurry of powerful strikes. Each hit chipped away at Ursaring's defenses until it was left staggering. Haru gritted his teeth.

"Hold on, Ursaring! Use Bulk Up to regain your strength!"

Ursaring began to flex again, raising its attack and defense slightly, but Whitney wasn't about to let up.

"Double Team!"

Staraptor split into several identical copies, circling Ursaring. Haru knew what was coming next.

"Ursaring, don't let it confuse you! Use Earthquake! Hit them all!"

The ground trembled as Ursaring stomped, sending shockwaves that dispersed the clones and struck the real Staraptor. The bird faltered for a moment, but Whitney quickly gave her final command.

"Now, Giga Impact!"

Staraptor charged, surrounded by golden energy, and collided with Ursaring in an explosion of power. When the dust settled, Ursaring was down.

Haru sighed as he recalled his Pokémon. "You did great, buddy. Take a good rest."

Whitney smiled confidently. "One left, Haru. Make it count."
