"Since you asked the question sincerely!"

"I will tell you mercifully!"

"Prepare for trouble!" Jessie

"And make it double!" James

"To protect the world from devastation!" Jessie

"To unite all peoples within our nation!" James.

"To denounce the evils of truth and love!" Jessie.

"To extend our reach to the stars above!" James.

Jessie!

James!

"Team Rocket blasts off at the speed of light" Jessie.

"Give up now or prepare to fight!" James.

Meowth, that's right!

The sound echoed in the air, and as Pikachu and Elekid were seized, the waves in the center of the field suddenly calmed. Everyone looked up immediately upon hearing the familiar voice.

Ash, Misty, and Brock fell silent for a moment, instantly recognizing the source of the dramatic opening lines.

"These guys are back again—they just won't quit!" Misty said helplessly.

"They sure are something," Brock added.

*Clap, clap!*

Everyone stared, stunned by the situation before them, yet Delia didn't seem concerned at all. Instead, she casually picked up her camera to snap photos of Team Rocket, leaving Misty even more speechless.

"Aunt Delia, these people are villains!" Misty said, exasperated. "You're too relaxed about this!"

"Huh? Really? They don't look like villains to me!" Delia replied, blinking innocently, which left Misty at a loss for words.

Ash could only shake his head. Deep down, he knew his mom was adorably sweet, but she could also be sly. He'd rarely seen her angry, but something told him not to mess with her when she was.

"Team Rocket!!" Gary yelled, his eyes narrowing as he recognized them. Just the other day, they had come barreling through on a mechanical Gyarados, and here they were again, brazen as ever.

Professor Oak observed them carefully. He was well aware of Team Rocket's notorious actions across Kanto and Johto, and their presence now put him on high alert.

"What are you up to this time?" Gary demanded, frustrated by the interruption.

"Hmph! Our target is Pikachu, and we'll take your Elekid as a bonus! With both of them, we'll pay off our debts in no time," Jessie declared proudly.

From the hot air balloon above, Jessie and James grinned as Pikachu and Elekid were pulled up into the balloon by a mechanical arm, sealing them into glass capsules shaped like UFOs.

"So, my Elekid's just an afterthought compared to Pikachu?" Gary huffed, insulted. "What's that supposed to mean?"

"Uh, Gary, that's not the main issue here!" Ash said, exasperated. "Focus on the big picture!"

"Pika—chu!"

"Ele!!"

Once Pikachu was trapped, he immediately unleashed a Thunder Shock, and Elekid quickly followed with Discharge. However, the electricity was absorbed by the container, making their efforts useless.

"Ha! As always, we're prepared for that," Jessie sneered. "Your Thunder Shock only powers us up!"

Pikachu and Elekid noticed wires running from the containers to the hot air balloon, meaning their electric attacks were converted directly into energy. The flames in the balloon intensified, and it began to rise even faster.

Inside the confined space, Pikachu and Elekid couldn't use physical moves like Brick Break or Iron Tail, and their electric attacks were ineffective.

"Well then, Pikachu and Elekid are ours! Time to go!" James declared with excitement as he prepared to steer the balloon away.

"Ahh! They're getting away!" Misty said anxiously.

"Don't worry," Professor Oak said calmly, keeping his gaze on the sky. Misty was puzzled by his confidence.

"You think you're leaving that easily? Do you know who you just messed with?" Gary asked coolly, his eyes fixed on the balloon.

Standing beside him, Ash grinned and tipped his cap.

"Huh?" Team Rocket exchanged uneasy glances, suddenly feeling nervous.

"They provoked the two brightest young Trainers from Pallet Town!" Professor Oak announced proudly from the stands.

Delia smiled as she listened, nodding in agreement. Misty looked toward the field, realizing that Ash and Gary were no longer competing against each other—they were teaming up.

"Go, Nidorino! Use Ice Beam!" Gary called out, releasing his Poké Ball. A flash of light revealed his Nidorino, a four-legged Pokémon with purple skin and sharp horns.

Nidorino's attack charged as a cold blue glow gathered around his head, forming a powerful beam of icy energy.

"Squirtle use Water Gun!" Ash shouted.

Ash threw his own Poké Ball. With a confident smirk, Squirtle sprang out, a steady stream of water shooting from his mouth as he charged forward.

Nidorino's Ice Beam struck Squirtle's Water Gun mid-air, instantly freezing it into a massive, conical icicle that hurtled straight toward Team Rocket's balloon.

"That's it!" Gary exclaimed, impressed. "Water Gun can be used like that?"

"AHHH!" Jessie, James, and Meowth screamed in panic.

*Boom!*

The frozen Water Gun struck the balloon's gondola directly, and the entire hot air balloon plummeted to the ground. Team Rocket was once again stopped in their tracks.
