Chapter 131: Chapter 131
**Chapter 131: I Don't Believe That I Won't Be Recognized**
After playing mahjong with the three girls all day, night fell. The housekeeper, Qian Liu, approached the group with a polite smile.
"Master, the food is ready. You can eat now."
Zhao Ling nodded slightly and glanced at the three girls. "Let's go eat."
"Hmm," the three girls responded in unison, standing up to follow Zhao Ling to the dining hall.
Once they were seated, Zhao Ling served rice to the girls one by one. They accepted their bowls without hesitation.
As Liu Erlong took a few bites of her rice, she tentatively spoke.
"Brother Ling, I want to go home tomorrow. The last time I left, I didn't inform my father. I've been staying at your house for four or five days now. If my father comes home and finds me missing again, he'll definitely complain that I'm never around."
Zhao Ling nodded, picking up a drumstick with his chopsticks and placing it in Liu Erlong's bowl. "That's fine. If you want to go home, then go home. It's better to take a break from playing cards and get out for some fresh air."
Liu Erlong's expression softened as she smiled gently. "Thank you, Brother Ling."
At that moment, she didn't resemble the fierce "Female Tyrannosaurus" from the original story at all.
Ah Yin, sitting nearby, pouted teasingly. "Hubby, are you only going to spoil Sister Erlong? What about me and Sister Saixi? You're not planning to ignore us, are you?"
Feigning dissatisfaction, she added, "No way, no way. You wouldn't play favorites, right?"
Laughing, Zhao Ling picked up two more drumsticks and placed one each into Ah Yin's and Bo Saixi's bowls. "Of course not! How could I forget my other beautiful wives?"
The chicken legs, golden and fragrant from being fried in butter and seasoned with salt, delighted the three girls, who eagerly began eating. Zhao Ling joined them, savoring his meal with equal enthusiasm.
After dinner, the four of them strolled through the garden to admire the Douluo Continent's starry sky, which was free from the pollution that plagued Zhao Ling's original world.
As the night deepened, Ah Yin, Bo Saixi, and Liu Erlong retired to their respective rooms. Zhao Ling, however, followed Ah Yin to her door, clearly intending to stay with her.
Ah Yin turned to glare at him playfully. "Are you planning to cause trouble for me again? Why don't you go to Sister Saixi's or Sister Erlong's room instead?"
Scratching his head awkwardly, Zhao Ling replied, "Well… that might not be a good idea. My relationships with them aren't officially established yet. Plus, Erlong wants to go home tomorrow. If I 'trouble' her tonight, how will she manage that?"
He paused and then added, "And as for Bo Saixi, we only just grew closer today. Barging into her room tonight would be a bit too much, don't you think?"
Ah Yin hesitated for a moment before nodding. "Fine. I'll allow you to stay in my room tonight, but there's a condition. Starting tomorrow, you must treat everyone equally. Don't think you can keep bothering just me!"
She crossed her arms, her expression firm. "From tomorrow night onward, you need to win over Sister Saixi and Sister Erlong, or don't even think about coming to my room again."
Zhao Ling's face twisted into a bitter expression. "What? Are you serious? That's practically a death sentence!"
He sighed. "Winning over Erlong might not be too hard, but Saixi… that's going to be difficult."
Ah Yin rolled her eyes. "What's the matter? You don't agree? If you're not willing, you can just leave right now."
Zhao Ling couldn't help but laugh helplessly. Ah Yin's recent days with him had been chaotic, and she was clearly overwhelmed. With Sister Dong'er far away in Spirit City, unable to share the burden, Ah Yin was desperate to recruit allies in the household.
Her reasoning wasn't entirely selfish. After seeing Zhao Ling's sudden growth spurt—both in height and physical strength—Ah Yin had a strong suspicion that the system mentioned in his diary had upgraded his barbaric combat body to an intermediate level.
If that was true, his already overwhelming strength had increased by at least fourfold. The memory of how she'd struggled to cope with his previous power haunted her. It was clear to her that recruiting more "sisters" was essential for survival.
Unaware of Ah Yin's inner thoughts, Zhao Ling nodded solemnly. "Alright, whatever you say, my wife. Starting tomorrow, I'll work hard to win over Saixi and Erlong."
Pleased with his answer, Ah Yin allowed Zhao Ling to enter her room.
However, instead of immediately approaching her, Zhao Ling retrieved a beautiful flower from his storage space—the Acacia Heartbroken Red.
Ah Yin's eyes lit up as soon as she saw it. "Honey, what kind of flower is this? It's gorgeous! I love it."
She reached out to take the flower, instantly enchanted by its beauty.
Zhao Ling hesitated for a moment before explaining the flower's significance, sharing the legend of the Acacia Heartbroken Red from the original story.
Ah Yin's eyes sparkled with interest. "So this flower carries such a sad but beautiful story? I want to try it. Honey, you said I just need to think of the person I love the most and drip my blood onto it, right?"
Zhao Ling nodded. "Yes, but you have to be sincere. If your heart isn't pure, the flower won't accept you."
Ah Yin smiled confidently. "I don't believe my love for you could ever be doubted."
Without hesitation, she pricked her finger and let a drop of blood fall onto the delicate red petals. Both she and Zhao Ling held their breath, waiting for the flower's response.
Zhao Ling hoped deeply that the Acacia Heartbroken Red would accept Ah Yin as its master. Yet, life often has its twists…
