Chapter : MY END
He heard the faint sound of a door closing, and knew he didnt have much time left. He had sent his last message to the emperor warning him of the assassins who were on their way to the capital city disguised as emissaries of another kingdom. He had also warned the king to be fully alert and prepared as what they were after was mayhem. There was no one to mourn for him, no one who had ever held him dear or been dear to him, except for the brief friendship he had shared with the crown prince when they were comrades during their military days, but he became emperor and that was it. Hei Yue sighed softly thinking back on all he had done, and he regretted none of his actions, he'd done it for his emperor and the good of the kingdom. He turned to the window and looked into the distance hoping that the messenger bird found the emperor in good will. 'This is the end' he thought as he knelt down and stared up at the ceiling. He plunged it into his belly, the same sword that had accompanied him through all the secret missions that he was assigned to. He laughed in mockery as he felt his life seep out of him. The shadow of death was dying by his own sword.
