Our own hell; lord of the death trial

They fought with no experience whatsoever, amateurs holding onto various kinds of weapons with no knowledge of how to use it. They attacked the monster in scattered formation, each person trying out their luck on bringing it down while it kept tossing them onto the ground. He aimed for the heart of the beast again and failed, only to be thrown on the ground once again. Many of them were injured, others dead while some kept trying to evade it by running continuously in the opposite direction. Kai shot at it repeatedly and it only shook of the bullets while going after them again. In the short time of the fight, he could tell that it was having fun with them, tossing them on the ground only for them to rise again and go after it. Hei Yue saw an opening, and slid beneath the monster, slashing its belly while it was distracted by the others who were poking it with their weapons. He came up behind it aiming at the tail when it turned around in rage and threw the sword in his hands. He looked at the furious face of the monster and began to run, but it chased after him crushing people to death as it went. He stumbled over a dead body, and it caught up with him, lifting him up with its horns and flinging him. He was air borne for all of some seconds before he landed on the ground with a loud thud, turning to his side and spitting blood onto the floor. His body ached, and his sides were hurting so much that he thought his bones were broken. He watched in horor, struggling to get up and run as the beast trotted towards him mad with rage. It seemed that this was only just the beginning of the pain, as it walked towards him in determination, stamping down every one that stood in its way. Kai aimed at it and shot, shooting at it while changing sides so that its attention was no longer on him. She kept on changing sides while shooting at it, in a fit of rage, it spewed acid out of its mouth in a zigzagged manner and she ran watching as it melted some people while she escaped death narrowly, with only her left arm being affected. She let go of her gun and held onto her arm screaming in pain as it burned deeper into her skin. Emma paused her running for a second and looked around her, the stench of blood and melted flesh infiltrating her nose. She looked up to the sky and saw the timer disappearing, as a golden gate appeared and started rising up, giving them an escape. She ran to Kai's aide, helping her get up and telling her to go through the gate with all those who were still alive before running to distract the beast. It kept on spewing acid as it neared where Hei Yue was struggling to get up. She helped him up quickly narrowly escaping another bout of acid. He struggled to run and she left him to the mercy of the beast, running of to save her own life. A face flashed before her eyes and she sighed running back to help him out. "Can you run any faster" she shouted at him in anger steadying him with her shoulder. The gate had begun to close and they were nowhere near reaching it. She closed her eyes and inhaled deeply as a heavy wind floored them and pushed them out just before the gates shut down and vanished.
