Our own hell; lord of the death trial

There was no going back, once you went through the mist, you were sealed inside of it. She saw the timer, it had resumed again, and it didn't seem like it would be enough for them to finish and reach the ship. Emma ran, distracted and confused about what to do when she almost got hit by a giant log that rose up and fell down quickly. The whole place was congested with these obstacles, with barely any space to do any thing other than the course. She jumped onto the log as soon as it reached the floor again, and held onto it tightly while she kept trying to find her balance so she could jump over to the next. It was the shape of two question marks linked together by ropes till the end of it, it was a ladder. She breathed in deeply and waited for the beam to go higher before she jumped. She barely caught it, her nails hurting as she clung onto it desperately trying not to fall to the spike and pin covered floor. It was difficult for her, circumventing the question mark ladder without falling.

Yue climbed up the grid over to the other side and down it, while lily was still far behind struggling with not falling off the beam held log, Kai had crossed over to the question mark shaped ladder already. She slowly went up it, before going down it, taking deep breaths after getting up a rung, before she placed her hand on another rung. It was tiring but she feared death by many needles more than her aching arms and so she went on.

They had gotten near the end of it all, Lily and Kai were on the last obstacle before pulling down the bridge, they walked cautiously on the thin ropes, trying their best to reach Yue and Emma quickly. Emma and Yue were pulling the ropes down with all their might so the bridge could be lowered, but it resisted them like a game of tug of war. There wasn't much time left in the timer, they all could feel it, and yet it resisted their efforts. He pulled it with more force dreading what might happen if they didn't make it on time. Kai walked to the end of the rope and looked at Lily who was still a little too far to call near. She went over and joined Emma in pulling the left rope. The bridge began to lower slowly as they pulled harder.

Lily went first through the narrow bridge, into the ship, followed by Kai, Yue and Emma dropped the ropes at the same time and ran through it to get in the ship,they got to the edge and jumped into the ship but found themselves in a different place.
