One Piece: Wielder of the Void

Chapter 224: 224. One MORE Condition

----

The white-masked man possessed a Devil Fruit ability, but his personal combat attributes were not particularly strong one could even say they were nonexistent.

However, his Devil Fruit power was exceptionally troublesome for ordinary people. Especially in large-scale confrontations involving armies, his ability could cause devastating and fatal effects.

This reminded Anos, who was concealed in the shadows, of his past battles. The first time he encountered the Cipher Pol (CP) personnel, there had been someone similar on their side.

That person's Devil Fruit had eventually been taken by Anos. He hadn't expected to face such an individual again.

The only explanation Anos could think of was their strategic personnel arrangement. If these individuals weren't so arrogant and power-hungry, and if they had teamwork comparable to the elite squads of the Tru Empire, they might have been able to take on even a Yonko.

But their biggest flaw was their tendency to fight solo and leave the weakest member exposed for others to exploit.

The tall, thin man with the power of the Time-Time Fruit was aware of this flaw. Yet now, he was at his limit, and the two suspended attacks loomed ominously.

If he deactivated the time ability, not only would the meteorite hovering above crush his team, but Abona's peripheral strike would also strike them mercilessly.

At the same time, keeping the power of time active meant the white-masked man positioned just outside its range was doomed.

"Abona, don't kill him!"

Anos, hidden in the spatial dimension, used the power of his Psychic Fruit to communicate directly with Abona, who was poised to strike.

Abona's blade, aimed to decapitate, shifted slightly at the last moment. Instead of a fatal blow, a swift beam of light grazed his target, severing most of the white-masked man's shoulder.

"Argh…!!!"

The white-masked man collapsed, clutching his injured shoulder and howling in pain. Though the wound was severe, his life wasn't in immediate danger.

Abona maintained his position on the perimeter, watching the unfolding situation.

Meanwhile, Fujitora, surrounded by the abyss, remained alone within the time-manipulated field. The tall, thin man, exhausted after activating his Devil Fruit powers, no longer posed a significant threat.

If not for his current state, Fujitora might have fallen to his enemy's hands.

Furious, the tall man gripped his dagger tightly, glaring at Abona with murderous intent, as if ready to attack at any moment.

But the Time-Time Fruit's power wasn't perfect. While it could freeze attacks and manipulate time within its domain, it also constrained communication and other interactions with the outside world.

Unbeknownst to the tall man, Fujitora had disappeared from the time field entirely.

The tall man still fixated on Abona, failed to notice the astonished expressions of his teammates. In less than ten seconds, Fujitora had reappeared beyond the time field.

This happened because the Time-Time Fruit's power was limited to its current spatial zone. Taking advantage of this limitation, Anos used his Spatial Fruit to extract Fujitora from another space.

Realizing Fujitora was no longer in the field, the tall man spun around in confusion. Meanwhile, Fujitora stood on the perimeter, observing the situation calmly.

"Haha~, General Fujitora, it seems you're unharmed after all!"

Abona smirked, approaching Fujitora.

Throughout the ordeal, Anos remained hidden, avoiding direct involvement to prevent escalation.

The tall man's team was now entirely trapped. The two suspended attacks, the meteorite and Abona's strike loomed overhead.

If the time field were deactivated, the attacks would devastate them instantly.

Abona, with his immense Haki, was no longer the warrior he once was. His attacks alone could cripple them, let alone the meteorite hanging above.

"Abona, this time, I underestimated the enemy. I didn't expect them to wield both the Time-Time Fruit and the Clock-Clock Fruit. Where does the World Government find these treasures?"

Fujitora's expression was serious. Surrounded by the abyss earlier, he would have undoubtedly fallen had the battle continued.

"General Fujitora, what should we do with them? Coming to the Tru Empire and causing chaos what were they even thinking?"

Abona's tone was cold as he posed the question.

The Tru Empire, though aware it couldn't entirely avoid the World Government's interference, never expected such blatant provocation.

At last, the tall man, no longer as arrogant, stepped out of the time field. He sighed deeply, addressing Fujitora and Abona.

"Generals, our CP division does not wish to escalate conflict with the Tru Empire. If General Fujitora removes the meteorite attack, I am willing to negotiate terms with my superiors based on your conditions."

"Do you think the Tru Empire is a place you can enter and leave as you please? Who gave you such confidence?"

Abona sneered mockingly.

"Do you really think your World Government can outmatch the Tru Empire in every way?"

At this point, Fujitora spoke, his voice steady but firm. "We will add one more condition. When the World Government agrees, they must publicly announce it through The World Economic Times for all to see."

The negotiation now hung in the balance. Though the Tru Empire had no intention of prolonged conflict with the World Government, their patience had limits.

Anos, watching from his hidden space, understood that killing these agents would only complicate matters further. For now, diplomacy was the wiser course of action.
