Less than half a month after arriving, a new reform policy had been issued in the Tru Kingdom.

Not only were the people allowed to restore fertile land to grow food, but the cultivation of decorative flowers and plants was completely banned.

Furthermore, the kingdom committed to financially supporting its citizens during this transitional period.

Such measures were unheard of in other countries. While many rulers relentlessly exploited their people, the warmth and generosity shown here set the Tru Kingdom apart.

The reform policy issued a fortnight ago included legal guidelines and sentencing protocols, dissuading malicious intentions among potential wrongdoers.

Of particular note was the stricter punishment for pirates. Yet, intriguingly, capital punishment had been completely abolished in the kingdom.

Over the course of a month, Issho, better known as Fujitora, had come to admire and understand much about this kingdom. Its values struck a deep chord within him.

Despite his ability to explore vast areas using his advanced Observation Haki, the Tru Kingdom continued to hold mysteries that he had yet to unravel.

As he approached the main hall of the royal palace, the grandeur of the scene was striking. Lavish furnishings and rich red carpets adorned the space, clearly prepared for a high-level reception.

"Your Majesty, you've returned!"

Suzu stood at the entrance to the hall, dressed impeccably in a professional short skirt and blouse. Her high heels complemented her poised demeanour, making her the very image of an efficient royal secretary.

On the streets earlier, it had been Suzu whom Anos had sensed with his Observation Haki, orchestrating all these arrangements with precision.

"Is everything prepared?" Anos asked, his voice calm yet commanding.

"Yes, Your Majesty. Everything is ready. You and our distinguished guest may proceed at your convenience," Suzu replied, her tone respectful and clear.

Anos nodded and turned to Fujitora. "Mr. Fujitora, I'll briefly return to change into more appropriate attire. Suzu will escort you to the dining hall. Please, make yourself comfortable."

Fujitora responded with a humble smile. "Your Majesty, there's no need to worry about me. Take your time."

Anos acknowledged this with a small bow of gratitude before departing for his chambers.

Suzu left in charge, felt the weight of responsibility but maintained her composure.

She had spent hours preparing for the banquet, assigning numerous staff to ensure every detail was perfect.

After all, this was a rare occasion Anos had never hosted a banquet of this scale or entertained any guests of such distinction since ascending to the throne.

Curiosity about the identity of this "distinguished guest" had spread throughout the palace, heightening the stakes of the event.

Despite the whispers, Suzu was careful not to judge. Fujitora, with his unkempt appearance, did not resemble a traditional "honoured guest."

His short black hair, scruffy beard, and the prominent X-shaped scar crossing his forehead gave him a rugged look.

His lavender kimono, secured with a black and purple belt, was simple, as were his wooden sandals.

Bandages wrapped his arms, and he carried a distinctive upright cane. His closed eyes confirmed his blindness, yet his presence exuded dignity.

Suzu greeted him warmly. "Please, this way, esteemed guest."

Fujitora chuckled softly. "No need to address me so formally. I'm just a blind man who happens to be passing through."

"Mr. Fujitora, you're too modest," Suzu replied with a polite smile. "You are the first guest His Majesty has ever personally invited to a palace banquet. That alone speaks volumes about your importance."

Fujitora shook his head with a wry smile. "His Majesty is kind to an old man like me, but I assure you, I'm just an ordinary wanderer. Nothing more."

Suzu maintained her respectful demeanour, ignoring his self-deprecating remarks.

As they walked through the hall, palace staff lined the corridor, bowing deeply as they passed a ceremonial gesture reserved for only the most distinguished of guests.

When they reached the dining hall, it was breathtaking. A massive, rotating dining table dominated the room, able to seat thirty people, though only two places were set clearly indicating a private meal between the king and his guest.

The table was adorned with a dazzling array of dishes, each meticulously prepared by the kingdom's finest chefs.

The rich aroma of the food filled the room, prompting a satisfied smile from Fujitora. "What a feast! The smell alone is enough to make one look forward to the meal."

"Please, Mr. Fujitora, take a seat," Suzu said graciously. "The chefs are eager to hear your thoughts on their creations."

Fujitora chuckled again, clearly enjoying her hospitality. "Very well, then. Let's see how the Tru Kingdom's cuisine holds up."

Though blind, Fujitora moved confidently, finding his seat without assistance.

However, his strong sense of etiquette kept him from touching the food.

Instead, he patiently waited for Anos to arrive, knowing it would be impolite to begin without the host.

Suzu stepped back, positioning herself discreetly at the edge of the room. Her gaze lingered on Fujitora, curious yet respectful of the unassuming man who had somehow earned the personal attention of her king.
