"Boom!"
A deafening explosion echoed across the battlefield, but the flames left behind by Akainu's magma were quickly repaired by the overwhelming vitality of the island. The fire failed to leave even a scorch mark.
The rate of regeneration was astonishing.
Akainu's face tightened as this realization hit him. Despite his immense power, there seemed to be no way forward.
Meanwhile, Spandine, standing frozen in front of Roja, felt cold sweat pouring down his face. He had seen Akainu's attack clearly—it hadn't just failed to break through but hadn't even caused a ripple. In mere moments, it was as if nothing had happened.
Spandine's eyes were wide with fear. This was beyond anything he had ever faced.
He clenched his teeth. Roja isn't reckless. He's just confident. Too confident!
Unable to withstand the oppressive atmosphere, Spandine turned and bolted towards the coastline, stumbling as he ran. Escape. I must escape!
"Running, are we?" Roja's voice carried across the air, calm but laced with disdain.
He unsheathed his blade, the fiery sword emanating an oppressive heat.
"Reduce all to ash, Ryūjin Jakka."
As those words left Roja's lips, the area was engulfed in an intense, searing blaze. The flames roared as if alive, twisting and climbing into the sky.
Olvia and Robin, watching from a distance, felt their hearts pound in their chests. The sheer power radiating from Roja was overwhelming, the air thick with a spiritual pressure that manifested as a suffocating wave of Conqueror's Haki.
Roja stepped forward, his blade glowing with incandescent flames, and slashed through the air. The attack sent a wave of fire roaring across the battlefield.
"Ryūjin Jakka—First Form: Red Blaze Cleave."
The flaming slash surged forward, splitting the ground beneath it. The sheer intensity forced both Aokiji and Akainu into action.
Their pupils contracted as they unleashed their most powerful techniques in unison.
"Ice Age!"
"Meteor Volcano!"
The Admirals poured everything they had into countering the incoming attack. The flames clashed against the icy chill of Aokiji and the molten fury of Akainu. Behind them, the remaining Vice Admirals joined in with their own desperate efforts.
But it wasn't enough.
The fiery slash consumed everything in its path, absorbing the Admirals' attacks like fuel and burning brighter with every collision.
The flames smashed into Spandine as he tried to flee, reducing him to a pathetic, charred figure. The attack didn't stop there—it barreled into Aokiji, Akainu, and the Vice Admirals, sending them flying back, their defenses utterly obliterated.
Even Akainu, despite his magma-based Logia fruit, couldn't withstand the ferocity of the flames. Burned and battered, he crashed to the ground, coughing blood.
The slash continued its destructive path, ripping through the fleet stationed off the coast. Battleships shattered like toys under its might. The sea erupted as flames evaporated tens of thousands of tons of seawater, sending a steaming deluge raining down over the battlefield.
As the smoke and steam cleared, the island of O'Hara stood untouched, serene in the aftermath of the fiery chaos.
Olvia, holding Robin tightly, could barely process what she had just witnessed. Her lips trembled as she whispered, "So... strong. So unbelievably strong..."
Her eyes sparkled with awe as she looked at Roja. In this moment, he seemed invincible, a force of nature that dwarfed everything she had ever known.
At Sea
The remains of the once-mighty fleet now floated as charred debris across the waves.
Spandine clung to a wooden plank, his back severely burned, dragging the unconscious and critically injured Aokiji and Akainu onto the debris. Their Devil Fruit abilities, rendered useless by the sea, left them helpless.
Gritting his teeth, Spandine muttered bitterly, "You Admirals... useless! Complete wastes! How dare you call yourselves candidates for Fleet Admiral when you can't even scratch him!"
Despite his insults, Spandine was desperate to save them. If Aokiji and Akainu died here, the blame would inevitably fall on him. With great effort, he fumbled for a Den Den Mushi and connected directly to the Gorosei.
"Honorable Elders! The situation in O'Hara is dire!" Spandine's voice cracked with desperation as he relayed the events.
"O'Hara's Tree of Knowledge came alive! And a mysterious man wields flames more powerful than Akainu's magma! Even the Admirals were defeated! The Demon-Slaying Order has failed, and all warships are destroyed!"
He quickly shifted the blame to the Navy. "The Admirals were incompetent! They failed to plan properly and completely underestimated the enemy. The fault lies with their negligence, not the operation!"
On the other end of the line, the Five Elders sat in silence, their expressions darkening.
"A tree came to life? And flames that can overpower magma..."
The bald elder slammed his fist on the table, shattering it.
"Three days ago, monstrous flames appeared on Haiyan Island. Now, the same flames emerge here. These incidents are connected. The same man must be responsible!"
The Elders debated furiously before reaching a decision.
"Increase his bounty to three billion beli immediately. Issue a reward of 100 million beli for any credible information about him."
"Mobilize all intelligence assets across the Grand Line and beyond. Find him. Track him down. No matter what it takes, we must uncover his identity and purpose."
"As for O'Hara, suppress the news of the Demon-Slaying Order's failure. We can't let this undermine the government's authority."
Their orders were clear, their resolve firm.
Across the seas, news of the mysterious fire-wielding figure and the miraculous revival of the Tree of Knowledge began to spread like wildfire, sparking fear and curiosity in equal measure.
