"Waaaah! But it's true!! We can't even revive in Hell's Core..." Lamy said.

"What the hell kind of monster did Tartaros anger? Unless Zeref…"

"How's the situation…?"

"It's bad! Kyôka, in her Etherious form, is being pushed around by that man!"

"What?!"

Kyôka was the leader of the Nine Demon Gates, the strongest among them. and now she was being overwhelmed!

"At this rate, Tartaros will be annihilated!" Jackal unleashed an explosive blast from his hand.

After the explosion, Lamy's head was gone. He casually tossed her aside, gritting his teeth. "No one is allowed to destroy Tartaros. No one!"

"We need to help Kyôka!" Tempest said. As Lamy mentioned, Acnologia was now Trashing Kyôka. She was covered in wounds, clearly no match for him.

"This is impossible…"

Kyôka felt herself growing stronger every second, yet she still couldn't defeat Acnologia. And even when she managed to injure him, his wounds healed instantly as if he had never been hurt.

Most importantly, he had unleashed countless powerful magic attacks without showing any signs of fatigue. Was his magical power limitless?

"Is that all you've got?" Acnologia asked.

Kyôka's expression changed, but she said nothing. Suddenly, as Acnologia was about to end Kyôka's life…

Boom! Boom! Boom!

Several storms appeared around Acnologia, converging on him. He stopped, and a magic circle appeared beneath his feet. A massive explosion erupted, combining with the storms to create a terrifying tornado that engulfed him.

Kyôka was stunned, but she quickly realized that Tempest and Jackal had arrived to help.

"Hehehe… Did you get him?"

Jackal, seeing that Acnologia had taken the full brunt of his explosive attack, laughed excitedly.

Tempest spoke to Kyôka, "Are you alright, Kyôka?"

"Be careful! He's not hurt! Activate your Etherious forms immediately!" Kyôka warned, her voice strained.

"What?"

Tempest and Jackal were shocked. Acnologia's magical power surged outwards, blowing away the smoke and revealing that he was completely unharmed.

They were astonished. He had taken such a powerful attack without a scratch!

They immediately transformed into their Etherious forms. Jackal became a towering werewolf, while Tempest resembled a beast-man.

Acnologia looked at Tempest and spoke, a sonic boom preceding his words as he instantly appeared before the demon.

Tempest was terrified by Acnologia's speed, unable to react in time. Kyôka, having fought Acnologia for a while, was able to anticipate his movements. She intercepted him, blocking his attack.

"Get away!"

Acnologia punched Kyôka, sending her flying.

"Kyôka!"

Tempest uttered a single syllable. His Curse was sound-based, allowing him to unleash curses through his voice.

A powerful gale shot towards Acnologia. But the Dragon King simply swiped his claw, cleaving the attack in two.

"You bastard! Don't ignore me! Explosive Spiral!!" A powerful, spiraling explosion erupted beneath Acnologia's feet. Jackal, seeing that his attack had connected, laughed triumphantly.

Boom!

A hand reached out from the explosion, punching towards Jackal.

"Waaah!" Jackal cried out, sent flying by Acnologia's punch. He then emerged from the explosion, completely unscathed.

"Cough… cough… You bastard, you touched me, didn't you?" As Jackal spoke, a curse mark appeared on Acnologia's fist, glowing brightly before exploding.

"Anything that touches me turns into a bomb!" The explosion dissipated, revealing Acnologia, unharmed. Jackal was stunned.

"You're still too weak…" Acnologia appeared behind Jackal, who turned, shocked, and swung his fist.

Smack!

Acnologia caught Jackal's fist, gripping it tightly. Jackal's bones began to crack.

"Aaaahhh!"

Jackal screamed in agony. Acnologia's hand exploded, sending Jackal flying, his arm severed.

Boom! Boom! Boom! Tempest unleashed a barrage of lightning attacks at Acnologia. But such attacks were useless against the Dragon King.

Boom!

Acnologia stomped his foot, shattering the ground. He charged towards Jackal, who gritted his teeth and rushed to meet him.

Whoosh!

Acnologia vanished from Jackal's sight. Then, Jackal felt his head being pressed down. Acnologia slammed him into Tempest.

Boom! Boom! Boom!

"Aaaahhh!"

Whoosh!

Tempest wrapped himself in a whirlwind, attacking Acnologia. But the Dragon King slammed Jackal into Tempest's attack. Tempest was forced to stop, catching Jackal.

He then slammed his fist towards both of them.

Boom!

"Aaaahhh!"

Since his fist made contact with Jackal's body, the curse mark activated, causing another explosion.

But such explosions were meaningless against Acnologia's defenses.

Boom!

Acnologia was about to continue his attack when a figure emerged from the smoke. It was Jackal, who had survived the blast.

"Aaaahhh!"

Jackal rushed at Acnologia, embracing him. His body began to glow. "I won't make the same mistake twice. Go to hell with me, you bastard!"

"Self-destruction? Do you demons have nothing better to offer?" Acnologia said, seeing Jackal's glowing body. "Still, it doesn't matter. I can't be killed, and I can't be stopped."

"Don't underestimate my self-destruction! My Curse is explosion-based. I am a living bomb! And I'm in my Etherious form. I could destroy an entire city!"

Jackal's body glowed brighter and brighter.

BOOOMM!

A massive explosion erupted.

The entire floating island of Tartaros shook violently. The shockwave from the explosion obliterated everything in its path.

When the dust settled, the guild headquarters was gone, replaced by a massive crater hundreds of meters in diameter.

Splash! Two figures emerged from the edge of the crater. They were Tempest and Kyôka, the only two surviving members of the Nine Demon Gates.

They looked towards the center of the crater, where Acnologia stood, his clothes tattered but otherwise unharmed.

"..." Tempest gasped, his eyes wide with disbelief. "This man… he's Invincible!"

As demons created by Zeref, they knew about his curse from the God Ankhseram, a curse that granted him immortality.

He could heal from any wound, and even if he died, he would eventually revive. They, the demons of the Book of Zeref, had been created to kill him, but they had all failed.

"Even if a self-destruct can destroy a city, so what? You can destroy a city, but you can't destroy me!"

"I… can destroy any continent…" Acnologia declared, his voice filled with madness.

Having devoured the souls of seven demons, he was surprised by their quality. They were far more potent than ordinary dragon souls.

He now craved the soul of their creator, Zeref, hoping it would give him the power to finally defeat that demon.

"Kyôka, I'll self-destruct and use Macro Particles to hold him down. You run!" Tempest said to Kyôka.

Macro Particles were deadly to mages, capable of killing them with even the slightest contact.

In the original story, an entire city had been wiped out by the particles, with Laxus absorbing most of them to protect the others. Even diluted, the particles had caused widespread death. Only Laxus, a powerful Dragon Slayer, had survived.

"Don't underestimate my self-destruct. My curse power is explosion. I am a super bomb. And now I'm in my demon form. I could destroy an entire city!"

"Roar!!!"

But such a threat was meaningless to Acnologia. Tempest appeared before him, his claw aimed at his head.

Whoosh! Tempest tried to retreat, wrapping himself in a whirlwind, but Acnologia pursued him relentlessly. He unleashed a small, condensed black sphere of energy from his mouth.

The Black Dragon's Roar, at point-blank range, pierced Tempest's chest, leaving a gaping hole. Tempest's life force faded away.

Acnologia tossed Tempest's body aside. Kyôka's face was filled with horror.

"Acnologia…"

His tattered clothes were now completely destroyed, revealing his bare chest. Acnologia stood there, naked except for a pair of ragged shorts. Kyôka finally recognized him.
