One Piece: Rising to Power as a Warlord of the Sea

"Damn! Big-eared thief! You!" Kumo's eyes widened, stomping his feet in anger. This guy was always fighting and killing, was there nothing else to do but battle?

Although the Smile Pirates were stronger individually, the enemy outnumbered them, and who knew when that fat old lady might show up.

Of course, this wasn't about being scared, just stating the facts. But when kumo saw Enel already in the middle of the crowd and looked at the imminent attack before him, a helpless look appeared on his round face. He threw a heavy punch directly at the attacker's face, smashing several of his teeth with a forceful blow.

"Pah, you think you can sneak attack me with that!" Kumo snorted dismissively as he touched his nose, unimpressed.

"Eirin, show them who's the real daddy of sneak attacks!" Kumo pointed to the sky and dramatically said.

"Whoosh!"

No one responded, but a bullet shot through the air, passing by Kumo and striking Perospero, who had just returned to the scene, in the shoulder. The bullet pierced through instantly, and the attack served as the answer, replacing words.

"Ah! It hurts, it hurts!" Perospero clutched his shoulder in agony. The pain from the bullet infused with Haki was unbearable. Why was he always the one to get hurt?! This was so unfair!

"Who did that?!"

The Big Mom Pirates were startled, scanning their surroundings. Apart from the known figures in front of them, there was no sign of anyone else. Where did the bullet come from?

The unknown is the most terrifying. Even with Kenbunshoku Haki (Observation Haki), it was impossible to sense Eirin, who was static and invisible. Combining the powers of the Transparent Fruit and the Silence Fruit, Eirin became a formidable assassin.

"How about that? This is real sneak attack! You guys are too weak!" Kumo saw the Big Mom Pirates in confusion and grinned, happy to see their reaction.

"Could it be...?"

"Devil Fruit powers?! What kind of ability is it?!" The Big Mom Pirates whispered to each other. Such an attack, with no way to evade, was enough to make them shiver.

"Whoosh! Whoosh!"

Just as the Big Mom Pirates were becoming more alert, two more bullets flew from above, hitting two more of them. Blood began to ooze from their bodies, soaking their clothes. The appearance of these attacks made Perospero and the others consider retreating.

"Taiji: Crushing Fist!"

Seeing Perospero trying to back off, Kumo's round body rolled forward, his chubby fists smashing into his face once again. Perospero's face looked grim as he thought, "You're just gonna keep pounding on me!"

A candy wall was formed at an unprecedented speed, three layers of it blocking the way. Even so, Kumo's terrifying strength and the destructive power of his Crushing Fist easily shattered the candy wall, a crisp sound echoing as the huge fists broke through. Perospero's head rang, and once again, he was sent flying. He had lost count of how many times this had happened already!

"You bunch of bastards, when will you quit?!"

A roar echoed across the island, and Perospero, with his head swollen and his eyes blackened from the pounding, no longer had the same arrogant demeanor as when he had first arrived.

"Perospero!" The Big Mom Pirates shouted, wanting to help, but found that Enel was in their way, making it impossible to pass.

A massive storm of lightning surrounded them, and only the strong Charlotte Cracker, a third commander, could resist Enel's lightning. The rest of them struggled to endure the damage from the lightning, and their physical strength was quickly depleted.

As a battle maniac, Enel reveled in this extreme battle, eager to surpass Natsu and even the Four Emperors of the New World to become the strongest.

Meanwhile, Natsu and Katakuri's battle had reached a fever pitch. After hundreds of exchanges, Natsu finally elevated his Kenbunshoku Haki to a high level.

In an instant, a new sensation flooded his mind. He used Kenbunshoku again and found that he could now see the techniques the opponent would use before they even occurred. This ability to see into the future thrilled him. This must be the advanced Kenbunshoku Haki—truly powerful.

Katakuri noticed the change in Natsu and his eyes sharpened. He now understood that Natsu was using him as a sparring partner to sharpen his own abilities.

The two stood still, their eyes locked, mentally simulating the battle between them, each trying to find the opportunity to win.

The purpose of this exchange had been achieved. Natsu now fully unleashed his power, ready for the next phase of the battle.

An imposing aura enveloped him, his clothes billowing in the wind, like a mighty beast before Katakuri. The sky changed dramatically at that moment.

The two released their Haoshoku Haki (Conqueror's Haki) at once. Two massive eyes clashed in the air, and black-red lightning struck down. The shockwaves generated by their clash shattered the surrounding trees, and a series of shockwaves swept in all directions, with such terrifying power that it even affected those on the coastline.

The beasts on the island, which had been quiet until then, scattered in all directions, fleeing in panic from the destructive battle, running for their lives to the other side of the island.

"Kun Character: Earth River Cart!"

The Taiji Bagua appeared beneath Natsu's feet as he twisted the universe with the Bagua, the earth cracked, and massive stones shot up from below, attacking Katakuri like a giant vehicle.

"Rice Cake Thrust!"

Katakuri's arms rapidly transformed into mochi, his Devil Fruit ability allowing him to become an elemental, and a trident formed in his hands, hardened with Busoshoku Haki (Armament Haki). He drove it into the Earth River Cart, shattering it with ease.

"Li Character: Fire Meteor!"

Natsu made another hand seal, and huge flames erupted from his hands. The terrifying high temperature of the flames caused Katakuri to frown, while the sweet aroma of mochi made Natsu grin. It smelled delicious.

As a food lover, nothing could distract him from his love for food, even in battle.

However, Katakuri's expression darkened as he realized what Natsu was up to.

"Corner Rice Cake!"

Unable to hold back any longer, Katakuri launched his attack. A bar-shaped rice cake, wrapped in Busoshoku Haki, shot toward Natsu with a destructive force.

"Golden Light Charm!"

Golden light erupted around Natsu, forming an impenetrable barrier. Katakuri's attack was completely blocked by the golden light. The once confident Katakuri now found himself puzzled.

How strong is this guy? His endless array of abilities was really troublesome.

"Hey, Katakuri, stop. There's no point in continuing this fight. I guarantee the Smile Pirates will only defend their territory. We won't attack Big Mom's territory!" Natsu called out. Continuing the battle had no benefit for the Smile Pirates at this point.

Dividing territories and ruling their own is the best choice!
