One Piece: Rising to Power as a Warlord of the Sea

"Monkey D. Natsu, you're still so young!" Charlotte Perospero licked his long, drooping tongue with a sinister grin as he spoke.

"What do you want, Big Mom Pirates?" Natsu asked flatly and coldly. Big Mom's presence hadn't appeared, so it seemed she didn't take Natsu seriously. After all, no matter how strong Natsu's reputation was, he would be of little concern to these long-established monsters, unless he truly threatened their interests.

"What do you think?" Perospero responded.

"Hey, Big Tongue, are you going to keep talking nonsense? If you've got something to say, say it fast! The Smile Pirates don't have all day to play games with you!" Kumo retorted immediately. To him, this guy was just disgusting, and a mere Yonkou was no big deal. He believed their captain would soon surpass even that.

"(눈益눈)!" Perospero's relaxed expression twisted into immense anger. How dare a mere pet speak to him like that?

"What kind of beast are you to speak to me like that? Are you looking for death?" Perospero seethed with rage, gripping his candy cane scepter tightly, his eyes filled with murderous intent.

"Boss, I can't take it anymore! I'm going to give him a big beating!" Kumo cracked his knuckles, glaring fiercely at Perospero. This guy dared to insult him, so it was time to teach him a lesson.

"Hey, Big Tongue, is the Big Mom Pirates really starting a war?" Natsu raised a hand to stop the enraged Kumo, his expression growing cold as he spoke.

"Start a war? Kukukukuku! Do you even know who you're facing? The Yonkou! The strongest pirate crew on the seas!" Perospero scoffed.

"I know," Natsu shrugged nonchalantly, clearly unconcerned.

Whether in terms of strength or background, there were few in the Pirate King world stronger than him. What he liked the most was hearing Big Mom vow to wipe out the Monkey family.

"Perospero, looks like they still haven't realized the terror of the Yonkou. We need to show them what's what!" a soft voice muttered from the side, belonging to one of Big Mom's many children.

"Since you're so eager to die, let's show you the strength of the Yonkou!" Perospero waved his hand, and his scepter pointed towards Natsu's ship, the Smile. Amidst cheers and shouts, a sea of grappling hooks was thrown to try and drag the Smile.

But Noriyuki wasn't about to let these guys have the chance. In an instant, he pulled the ship away, staying just out of reach.

Chasing after each other, the Big Mom Pirates entered the Smile Pirates' trap under Natsu's deliberate guidance. The electromagnetic cannons locked onto their targets, just waiting for Natsu's command to fire.

"Why aren't you running?" Perospero said, looking at the Smile, now docked by the shore, with a look of excitement.

"Of course, because I'm about to give you a big surprise!" Natsu raised his arm and gave a light wave. A strange sense of foreboding filled Perospero and the others, but they couldn't figure out what was going on.

Suddenly, a deafening roar rang out, and the sky seemed to shudder. A massive bolt of lightning shot down, heading straight for the Big Mom Pirates' ships.

The air filled with the chilling aura of death, and the more than ten ships following Big Mom's crew hurriedly tried to retreat, but it was too late.

The lightning exploded in a violent shockwave that swept across the sea for miles, creating waves that looked like dancing spirits.

After the bombardment, only five ships from the Big Mom Pirates remained, one of which was barely staying afloat, rocking like a leaf in the wind.

"You're really going to sneak attack us? Natsu, you Seven Warlords of the Sea have no honor!" Perospero's expression twisted in disbelief. His imposing demeanor had completely disappeared, replaced by a contorted face as he shouted at Natsu.

"Sneak attack? Honor? Ha! Are you joking? We're a bunch of evil pirates, and all that matters is winning. Nothing else matters!" Natsu scoffed, clearly uninterested. Honor? The thousands of you taking turns to fight my foolish brother is 'justice'?

"But speaking of which, don't you know we just fought against the Beast Pirates' calamity? Perospero, where do you get the courage to challenge us?" Natsu sneered, openly mocking Perospero.

Big Mom's eldest son fell silent, looking around at the wreckage of the ships. "Everyone, full attack! We can't lose face here. Make sure to wipe out the Smile Pirates!" Perospero glared at Natsu, plotting to take them down no matter the cost.

"Charge! Kill them!"

"Kill them!"

…

Amidst the angry shouts, the Big Mom Pirates surrounded Natsu and the others. Natsu wasn't worried about the cannon fodder; what concerned him were the bizarre powers of Big Mom's children—he had to be cautious and not underestimate them.

"Big Tongue, hold it right there! Kumo wants a one-on-one with you!" Seeing Perospero retreat behind his crew, Kumo stomped his foot and, like a cannonball, shot straight at Perospero.

"〣(ºΔº)〣!" Perospero's eyes widened as he saw the rapidly approaching Kumo. He felt a sense of dread—this black-and-white bear was no ordinary creature; it was strong.

"Smack!"

Kumo, closing in, vanished before Perospero's eyes and reappeared right beside him. With a heavy swat of his paw, coated in armament haki, Kumo delivered a brutal smack to Perospero's face.

"Ah! You bastard!" Perospero cried out, feeling the sting of the hit. He had been slapped by a pet.

"Ha, thick-skinned!" Kumo muttered, disappointed at the lack of a visible mark, and prepared to strike again, increasing the force.

This time, however, his paw was blocked by a large candy wall.

"Candy Wall!"

Perospero quickly retreated a small step and raised his hand to create a thick barrier of candy, successfully stopping Kumo's attack.

"A Devil Fruit user! Looks like I'll have to push harder!"

As Kumo's paw recoiled from the sticky candy wall, he growled, annoyed by the gooey, unpleasant feeling (except for cotton candy!).

"Roar!" A massive roar erupted as a giant black-and-white panda, hundreds of meters tall, seemed to manifest behind Kumo, glaring down with ominous eyes at Perospero.
