At this moment, Byakuya was in his office, reviewing his system interface:

[Host: Byakuya]

[Template: Limitless – Saitama]

[Fusion Rate: 60%]

[World Energy: 71,500]

[Cost to Increase Fusion Rate from 60% to 61%: 6,100 World Energy]

[Special Abilities: King Engine, Extreme Psychokinesis (Max), Armament Haki (Max, Hardened), Observation Haki (Max, Illusions), Extreme Swordsmanship (Max), Infinite Regeneration (Passive), Conqueror's Haki LV6]

['Testicle-Free Ninja' Sonic: 1,000 Points (Admiral Level)]

['King Engine' King: 10 Points, Ordinary Person]

['Tornado of Terror' Tatsumaki: 1,200 Points, Admiral Level]

Looking at the near-maxed-out state of all his skills except for Conqueror's Haki, Byakuya couldn't help but feel a sense of pride.

These were the results of his relentless efforts over the past two years.

Spotting the World Energy value, he realized he could afford to increase his Fusion Rate by another 10%.

Without hesitation, he chose to enhance it, deciding to delay upgrading Conqueror's Haki until he could no longer farm experience from Shanks.

After all, even without the boost from Conqueror's Haki, Byakuya's current strength was enough to rank him among the top-tier powerhouses of the seas.

[Congratulations! Your Fusion Rate has reached 70%. You can now randomly obtain a unique ability from a strong individual in the One Punch Man world.]

[Drawing complete. Congratulations! You have obtained the ability, Dragon-level Monster Psykos: Gravity Manipulation.]

[Note: As Gravity Manipulation is categorized under Psychokinesis, it has been directly integrated into Extreme Psychokinesis.]

After reading the notification, Byakuya waited for a follow-up message about upgrading his Extreme Psychokinesis. Yet, after a long silence, nothing happened.

"???" Byakuya's face was filled with confusion.

"If it's integrated into Extreme Psychokinesis, shouldn't it let me upgrade that skill again? Why isn't the system responding? Did it crash?"

Moreover, considering Byakuya's current level of psychokinetic strength, he could already manipulate gravity to some extent. Did he need another gravity-based ability?

When Byakuya queried the system, he finally understood the situation. Previously, his psychokinetic gravity manipulation was in its initial stages and lacked finesse.

However, with the new specialized skill, his gravity manipulation had reached a top-tier level, surpassing even Issho's mastery of the Gravity Fruit.

After the explanation, Byakuya muttered, "Does this mean I can now compete with Issho in summoning meteors for fun?"

Overall, the new ability didn't provide a massive advantage. Still, it wasn't entirely without merit.

Most notably, Byakuya could now use gravity manipulation openly under the guise of being a Marine.

Since Issho's Gravity Fruit powers were public knowledge, any display of gravity manipulation would naturally be attributed to him.

This reinforced Byakuya's resolve to keep Issho by his side. Having such a perfect scapegoat would be a waste if not utilized.

Before Byakuya could ponder how to exploit Issho's "scapegoat" potential better, he suddenly received a call from Fleet Admiral Sengoku.

Answering it casually, Byakuya said, "Hey, Sengoku, what's up? What does the Sword God himself owe the pleasure?"

"..."

On the other end of the line, Sengoku was silent, his face dark. This brat was growing more arrogant by the day since defeating Mihawk.

Not only did he drop all formalities, but he also shamelessly referred to himself as the "Sword God."

Sengoku cursed inwardly: Why didn't Mihawk finish him off in their duel? Useless! Truly unworthy of being the World's Greatest Swordsman!

...

Meanwhile, aboard a coffin-shaped ship heading for the East Blue, a heavily injured Mihawk sneezed several times in a row.

He muttered, "Hmph, even with my constitution, I'm catching a cold? How embarrassing."

"Once I reach East Blue, I'd better recover fully before seeking out the swordsmanship prodigy Byakuya mentioned. With the name and reputation he gave, finding them shouldn't be hard…"

...

Back to Byakuya's conversation with Sengoku, the silence on the other end persisted.

Growing impatient, Byakuya complained, "Are you mute? If you're not going to talk, I'm hanging up."

Finally, Sengoku couldn't hold back anymore. Through gritted teeth, he said, "Byakuya, do you need a beating? How dare you talk to me like that?"

"I wasn't sure it was you," Byakuya retorted. "The line was silent, so I thought maybe someone else got hold of your snail phone."

"This is my personal Den Den Mushi! Who else could it be?"

"Well, who knows? Maybe someone killed you, and your snail phone ended up in their hands," Byakuya replied seriously.

"Good! My dear nephew, you've made it clear how much you care. Perhaps I should withdraw my proposal to the Five Elders to promote you as the fourth Marine Admiral."

Fuming, Sengoku tugged at his beard, accidentally pulling out several strands.

Byakuya stood up abruptly at Sengoku's words, shocked. "Uncle Sengoku, are you saying you were going to propose promoting me to the fourth Marine Admiral?"

Hearing Byakuya's sudden change in tone, Sengoku cursed inwardly: This little brat! The moment it benefits him, he calls me Uncle Sengoku.

Wasn't I just a mute a second ago? Fine, I'll be mute now and see who gets anxious.

When the line went silent again, Byakuya smirked knowingly. He could tell Sengoku was sulking.

Casually, he declared, "Uncle Sengoku, hold on. I'll take Issho with me and wipe out a Yonko crew right now to cheer you up!"

Before Sengoku could respond, Byakuya hung up. Looking at the snail phone on his desk, he began counting down softly:

"Three… Two… One…"

"Buru Buru~~ Buru Buru~~"

The Den Den Mushi rang, and Byakuya's lips curved into a faint smile.

After letting it ring for a moment, he picked up and said, "Uncle Sengoku, calling again so soon?"

"I've already ordered the branch soldiers to prepare for battle. We should be ready to head out shortly."

Sengoku, on the other end, sighed helplessly. "Alright, alright, stop trying to scare me. I've got some good news for you."

While he accused Byakuya of posturing, Sengoku knew this rascal wouldn't hesitate to act on his words.

Starting a war with a Yonko crew recklessly would be disastrous for the Marines.

Otherwise, Sengoku would have already gathered the full strength of the Marines to take down one or two Yonko crews.

"Uncle Sengoku, were you serious earlier about promoting me to the fourth Marine Admiral?" Byakuya's tone was laced with urgency.

This wasn't just about a promotion; it had practical implications.

After using up his World Energy to increase his Fusion Rate by 10%, Byakuya was left with only 6,000 points.

He needed to accumulate more, and the possibility of becoming an Admiral meant he could earn tens of thousands of points quickly. How could he not be excited?

Hearing the eagerness in Byakuya's voice, Sengoku chuckled bitterly, "You're more enthusiastic about getting a promotion than you are about your uncle!"

"But yes, it's true. A few days ago, I proposed the idea to the Five Elders. Now it's up to them to decide."

Byakuya frowned. "Did the Five Elders agree to it?"

Feeling triumphant, Sengoku replied, "They did. Fleet Commander Kong informed me of their approval just now."

"I wanted to be the first to share the news with you. What do you think? Your uncle's not bad to you, huh?"

However, Byakuya felt no joy upon hearing this.

Given the Five Elders' temperament, his push to abolish the Warlord system should have been enough to make them resent him.

Why would they agree to promote him as the fourth Marine Admiral? It didn't make sense.

Noticing Byakuya's silence, Sengoku seemed to guess what was on his mind and continued, "Don't overthink it."

"Maybe after the last meeting, they realized the importance of the Marines and understood that cooperation is necessary to maintain order on the seas."

"This promotion could be their way of showing goodwill toward the Marines. Or maybe they agreed because of my influence. Both are possible."

Byakuya quipped, "Between those two, I'd say the former sounds more plausible."

"You're something else, kid!" Sengoku exclaimed, exasperated. "Anyway, the official appointment should come in a few days. Just enjoy the moment. I've got work to do."

After hanging up, Byakuya didn't display any excitement. Sengoku had overestimated the Five Elders' goodwill.

From a logical standpoint, if someone raised a dog to bite others but suddenly got bitten by the dog themselves, their first reaction wouldn't be to show goodwill and try to reason with the dog.

Instead, they'd punish it—or even put it down.

As the saying goes, "If something seems too good to be true, there's probably a catch." The Five Elders undoubtedly had other plans in mind.
