One Piece: One for All

Chapter 7: Chapter 7: Luffy's 2nd Gear and Jiro's Near Awakening

The winds howled across the rooftop of the courthouse as Luffy and Jiro stood face-to-face with the CP9 agent, Blueno. The agent's cold, calculating gaze never wavered, and his stance was unshaken, ready for battle. Luffy's grin never faltered, even as Jiro's nerves were on edge.

"So, you're the one who's been stopping us?" Luffy's voice was confident, but there was a spark of something more in his eyes—a readiness for the fight ahead.

Blueno's eyes narrowed. "I'll stop you here, Straw Hat. Your journey ends today."

With that, Blueno's body blurred as he vanished from sight, using his Soru technique. Luffy's eyes tracked the movement, not a flicker of hesitation crossing his face. Jiro's eyes widened in disbelief.

"He... he's actually keeping up?" Jiro muttered, incredulous.

Luffy smirked with confidence, clearly enjoying the challenge. "I will save Robin!"

In a flash, Blueno reappeared behind Luffy, aiming a vicious kick toward his back. The speed was nearly too fast to follow. But before the blow could land, Luffy's body jerked with a burst of speed. His feet slid across the rooftop, his body almost a blur as he mirrored Blueno's movement, closing the distance between them in an instant.

Blueno's eyes widened in surprise. "What...?! How did you—?"

"Gear 2!" Luffy shouted with a grin, and suddenly, his body exploded with steam. His muscles expanded, veins bulging as his entire form was surrounded by a hot, almost electrifying aura. The ground beneath his feet cracked with the force of his newfound power. The air itself seemed to vibrate, and for a moment, everything felt like it was on the verge of breaking apart.

Jiro stood frozen, his heart pounding in his chest as he watched. Luffy's body surged with energy, faster and stronger than anything Jiro had ever seen. It was as if Luffy was becoming one with the wind, his movements impossible to track. The very rooftop beneath them seemed to tremble with every step Luffy took.

Luffy's punches and kicks rained down on Blueno with relentless force. Blueno tried to counter, but Luffy's speed was too much. The CP9 agent couldn't keep up. Blueno attempted to block with his Tekkai, his body hardening into an unyielding shield. But Luffy's strikes came too fast, too hard.

Luffy's fist collided with Blueno's chest, the force of the blow cracking through Blueno's defense like glass. Blueno was sent flying back, crashing into the roof with a resounding thud, unable to recover.

Jiro blinked, his mind struggling to process what he had just witnessed. "Luffy... that was insane."

Luffy stood over the fallen Blueno, panting but grinning widely. "That's Gear 2, hehehe! You should've seen it earlier—feels like I can do anything now!"

Jiro could only shake his head, still trying to comprehend the sheer power Luffy had just unleashed. It wasn't just about strength—it was about speed, precision, and a level of confidence that Jiro could only admire. Luffy had always been strong, but now... now he was something else entirely.

Meanwhile, down below, Franky had freed himself from his chains, using his signature Coup de Boo to blast through his restraints. With Robin in tow, he dashed toward the exit, determined to escape the clutches of the Marines.

Up on the roof, Luffy's expression changed as his attention turned to the courthouse below. His eyes softened, his voice carrying a sense of urgency. "Robin!" he called out. "I'm coming for you!"

There was a long pause before Robin's voice, distant and filled with despair, replied. "I don't want to be saved. I just want to die."

The words hit Luffy like a punch to the gut. For a brief moment, his confident smile faltered. The world seemed to pause, and Jiro could see the weight of those words sinking into Luffy's heart. But Luffy's resolve never wavered.

"Robin..." Luffy whispered, clenching his fists. "I'm not going to let you go. We'll get you out of here. You're not alone."

Jiro watched the scene unfold, feeling the heavy silence settle over the rooftop. Robin's words echoed in his mind, and he couldn't help but feel a deep, aching sadness for her. He had never known what it felt like to be in that kind of darkness. But he could feel how heavy the world could be for someone trapped in their own despair.

Luffy, however, stood tall. His eyes were burning with determination, and his fists were clenched, not in anger, but in the promise of something more.

Jiro felt a strange mix of emotions well up inside him. Admiration for Luffy's strength, but also a pang of envy. Luffy wasn't just strong physically, he was strong in a way that inspired others to believe. Jiro could see it in the way Luffy never gave up, no matter the odds.

Jiro looked at Luffy, who stood there, resolute in the face of a world that often seemed too dark to fight against. The winds whipped around them, but in that moment, it felt like Luffy was a beacon of light amidst the storm.

In a world full of darkness, Jiro realized that there was still hope. It flickered, faint and fragile, but it was there. And Luffy was that light.

Maybe Jiro didn't have to be the strongest. Maybe his role wasn't to be the hero in every fight. Maybe it was just to believe in those around him, to keep pushing forward even when everything seemed lost. And in that moment, as he stood beside Luffy, Jiro knew one thing for certain: he would never stop fighting for the people who believed in him, just like Luffy never stopped fighting for Robin.

The light might be small, but it was enough. It was enough to keep moving forward.

As Jiro thought about it, something deep inside him began to stir... an unfamiliar feeling that felt both overwhelming and exhilarating. At first, it was barely a whisper, a soft hum within his chest, but as his heart raced, the sensation grew. It was like a spark had been ignited, a flame that flickered faintly but grew brighter with every passing second.

He could feel it. Something inside him was waking up. The warmth inside his body grew stronger, and with each heartbeat, it felt like a force was building, ready to explode. It wasn't just the rush of adrenaline or the excitement of the fight. No, this was different. It was something primal coursing through inside.

Jiro's breath caught in his throat as the pressure inside him grew. It was as though something was straining to break free, something locked away deep inside. His body trembled, the heat in his chest rising to a fever pitch. His fingers clenched involuntarily, nails digging into his palms as the force inside him became almost unbearable.

But there was a barrier, an invisible wall holding it all back. He could feel it pressing against him, preventing the energy from fully awakening. It needs something... a catalyst... The thought flickered in his mind, like a faint echo. It wasn't enough to simply feel the power, it needed a reason to break free.

Jiro's eyes moved to Luffy, whose will was a light in the darkness, unshaken even in the face of overwhelming odds.

He needed to protect them all. He needed to fight for them.

His chest tightened as he understood. This wasn't just about strength. It was about resolve. It was about giving everything for those you cared about. It was about pushing beyond the limits, even when it seemed impossible.

'Protect...' Jiro thought, his fists trembling with the intensity of his newfound resolve. 'I'll protect everyone.'

The warmth inside him flared again, pushing against the barrier that held it back.
