Blackbeard, Marshall D. Teach, stood atop a hill, watching the chaos unfold, his voice full of arrogance.

The fighting power of the Blackbeard Pirates surged at once. After all, the women of the Kuja Pirates were just too beautiful. Especially the Pirate Empress herself!

Too bad, though—the world's most beautiful woman was Teach's personal goal!

Teach laughed wildly, glancing up at the special barrier covering the sea around them.

This barrier was a weapon from the World Government's CP. Its function was simple: it blocked any communication signals from the Den Den Mushi.

It didn't seem important at first glance, but this was why Blackbeard chose to launch a sneak attack on Amazon Lily. Without the ability to call for help, they had a better chance of victory.

The young Shiro, with a bounty of 5.36 billion Belly, was too terrifying a figure to overlook after the events of Marineford.

Blackbeard's crew had been active in the New World, making waves, but compared to Shiro, they fell short. Even Blackbeard knew he couldn't take on Fleet Admiral Akainu in a straight fight yet, let alone Shiro.

Still, when the World Government offered a partnership to go after Shiro, Teach thought it over and agreed.

After all, Whitebeard was old, but after Marineford, his presence seemed to rise once more. Blackbeard didn't dare challenge the world's strongest man outright. So, he set his sights on the next powerful figure—the former Warlord of the Sea, Pirate Empress Boa Hancock!

But because of Shiro and the strong presence of the Central Authority, Blackbeard was cautious. He wouldn't make a move until the time was right. The World Government's offer gave him that chance.

As long as he could finish the battle and capture Boa before Shiro or any of the Central Authority leaders returned, he would succeed. And then, even if he had to face Shiro, he would have a fighting chance.

"Captain, bad news! A Kuja warrior has slipped out to sea! Lafitte is chasing her, but I'm worried…"

A Blackbeard Pirate reported as Teach watched the battlefield, waiting for the Pirate Empress to appear.

Hearing this, Blackbeard's face changed for a moment, and he looked out to sea.

Marguerite, with her golden hair flying in the wind, held the Den Den Mushi to her chest as she steered her boat toward the barrier with all her strength.

Lafitte was closing in on her.

With his power, he could easily catch or kill her at any moment. But he enjoyed watching her struggle, so he decided to toy with the brave Kuja warrior a little longer.

"Hurry up, or I'll finish you off soon!" he teased, "If you don't send the message, your Pirate Empress will be in trouble! And don't forget about Shiro. When he killed Shiryu and Burgess, who would've thought one day his woman would fall into our hands, hahahaha!"

Lafitte laughed wildly.

Back during the battle at Marineford, Shiro had humiliated the Blackbeard Pirates, turning what should've been their moment of glory into the scene of Shiro's triumph.

Shiryu and Burgess were lost that day, and now the Blackbeard Pirates bore a deep grudge against him.

But Marguerite wasn't fazed by Lafitte's mocking words.

As a citizen of Amazon Lily's and an official of the Central Authority, her mission was clear: get word to Shiro about the attacks on both Amazon Lily and the Central Authority!

The situation was dire, but she had faith. As long as Shiro returned, he would handle it all.

These invaders would pay the price!
