Chapter 75: Chapter 75 Don't Kill, All The Supernovas Are Dead!
Cowardice before a battle is the first step to defeat. If Harnett wants to escape death, he must first calm his heart.
"Wait until nightfall. Then we'll find a chance to get out of here," he said firmly.
"Lucifer hasn't found us yet. As long as he leaves Sabaody Archipelago, he won't be able to track us."
"Harry, is the coating on the ship done?"
Harnett glanced at one of his pirate subordinates, his expression tense.
"The coating's complete. We can set sail at any time," the crew member replied with a nod.
"Good. No one is to wander around during this time. We leave tonight!"
To reach the New World from Sabaody Archipelago, there are three options: sea, land, and air.
The land route requires passing through the Holy Land of Mariejois, which is forbidden for pirates.
The air route? Impossible for them.
This leaves the sea as the only viable path, specifically through Fish-Man Island.
But this route is fraught with peril. Every year, countless pirate ships sink due to coating failures, their crews perishing in the deep sea without ever glimpsing Fish-Man Island.
While setting sail during the day is generally safer, the Uzumaki Pirates face the immediate threat of Lucifer and his "837 Law." They have no choice but to take their chances under the cover of night.
A few hours later, the auction ended.
Guests began leaving one by one, but the Uzumaki Pirates stayed in their seats, waiting. As long as they waited until night, they would have their chance to escape.
"Ah, isn't this the famous Uzumaki Pirates? What a coincidence."
A mocking voice broke through the silence.
Harnett froze, his face darkening. He turned toward the source of the voice and saw a young, handsome man smirking at him.
"Demon… Lucifer?!"
Harnett's eyes widened in terror. The pirates around him turned pale, their hands trembling.
They had thought they could avoid Lucifer until nightfall and quietly leave.
But Lucifer had given them no such opportunity.
"What do you want, Lucifer?" Harnett asked through gritted teeth, his voice trembling with both fear and anger.
Lucifer chuckled, leaning back casually. "Oh, I didn't want anything in particular. I was just bored and decided to look around. Who knew I'd stumble upon you?"
He smirked, his eyes glinting with malice. "I suppose it's fate. And that fate has sealed your doom."
Knowing they stood no chance, Harnett's expression darkened. Without warning, he bolted, shouting, "Run!"
The captain had no illusions about his strength. He wasn't foolish enough to stand and fight Lucifer—it would be suicide. His speed was impressive, and in the blink of an eye, he had vanished from the auction house, leaving his subordinates stunned.
But their shock didn't last long.
Boom!
A loud crash echoed from outside, and a powerful gust of wind swept through the hall, smashing one of the walls to pieces.
Harnett was hurled back into the room, gritting his teeth as he landed heavily on the floor.
"Hey, hey. Trying to run before the fight even starts? Isn't that a little spineless?"
Enel stepped through the shattered doorway, his body crackling with electricity.
Harnett's heart sank further. Facing Lucifer alone was bad enough. Now, with Enel here, escape was impossible.
"Alright, no more running. Since we've met, let's fight," Lucifer said, teleporting next to Harnett with a casual smile.
Harnett clenched his fists. "Don't think I'm afraid of you. If you want to kill me, you'll have to break through my defenses first!"
A violent gust of wind erupted around Harnett, forming a spinning tornado that enveloped him in a protective barrier.
As a Paramecia-type Devil Fruit user, Harnett's Uzumaki Fruit allowed him to create and control powerful winds. The tornado surrounding him was both a formidable offense and an impenetrable defense.
"Go to hell!" Harnett roared, unleashing three massive tornadoes that tore through the auction house, destroying everything in their path.
Lucifer remained unfazed. With a single gesture, he created a vacuum barrier that effortlessly neutralized the attack.
Meanwhile, Enel and Baby 5 had engaged the other members of the Uzumaki Pirates. Enel faced the crew's two strongest officers, while Baby 5 eliminated the weaker members with ease.
"Wind, huh? Let me show you what true mastery looks like."
Lucifer raised his hand, and a devilish smile spread across his face. "Wind Blade: Kamaitachi Crescent Moon!"
A series of massive crescent-shaped wind blades formed around him, slicing through Harnett's tornadoes as if they were paper.
The entire auction house was split into four sections.
Harnett let out a scream as the wind blades severed his arms, leaving him bleeding and helpless on the ground.
Lucifer approached him slowly, his expression playful. "It seems your so-called 'absolute defense' isn't so absolute after all."
"Why… why are you doing this?" Harnett rasped, his voice filled with despair. "Aren't you a pirate too?"
Lucifer chuckled. "No particular reason. I was just bored and thought this would be fun."
He flicked his fingers, sending a small wind blade slicing across Harnett's neck.
Blood sprayed into the air as Harnett's lifeless body collapsed.
Ding!
Host has killed pirate Harnett. 25,000 kill points awarded.
The system's voice echoed in Lucifer's mind as his total kill points rose to 157,000.
After wiping out the Uzumaki Pirates, Lucifer turned to Enel and Baby 5. "Let's go. It's time to head back."
As Lucifer and his crew departed, the auction house owner emerged from hiding, trembling.
He picked up a Den Den Mushi with shaking hands.
"Hello… young master? Yes, it's me, Trebol."
"What is it?" came a lazy voice from the other end.
"The auction house… it was destroyed. The Nether Pirates fought here, and—"
The line went dead before he could finish.
On the other end, Doflamingo smirked and hung up.
