One Piece: A Side Story – The Forgotten Isle

Chapter 111: One Piece: A Side Story – The Forgotten Isle (Part 112)

The massive creature barreled toward Luffy, its claws tearing through the ground with each step. The air was thick with tension, every member of the crew bracing for what Luffy had planned. His eyes sparkled with determination as he stood his ground, fists clenched, waiting for the right moment.

"Come on, Luffy, what are you thinking?" Nami muttered, her staff ready to strike.

"Luffy's got something up his sleeve," Zoro said calmly, his swords glinting in the strange violet light. "We just have to trust him."

As the creature closed the distance, Luffy shifted into Gear Fourth. His body expanded, muscles bulging and covered with Haki-infused markings. Steam hissed around him, and the ground beneath his feet cracked under the sheer force of his transformation.

"Gomu Gomu no…" Luffy's voice echoed through the battlefield, resonating with raw power.

The creature roared, raising one massive claw to strike. But Luffy was faster. In a flash, he launched himself into the air, his arm stretching back with immense force.

"Kong Organ!"

Luffy unleashed a rapid barrage of devastating punches, each one infused with Haki and immense energy. His fists pummeled the creature's hardened exterior, sending shockwaves rippling through the air. The beast staggered, its claws swiping wildly in an attempt to defend itself.

"Keep hitting it! Don't let it recover!" Luffy yelled.

Sanji and Zoro took their cue, joining the attack. Sanji's fiery kicks combined with Zoro's precise sword strikes created a relentless assault, forcing the creature back. Robin summoned a series of giant limbs to hold it in place, while Nami conjured a storm with her Clima-Tact, sending bolts of lightning crashing down on their foe.

Usopp fired a final explosive shot. "This one's for the win!" The projectile struck the creature's chest, creating a massive explosion that sent it reeling.

The beast roared in pain, its glowing eyes flickering. The dark energy around it began to waver, weakening with each strike.

"It's working!" Robin shouted. "The connection to the Heart is breaking!"

Luffy landed back on the ground, his fists still burning with energy. He looked up at the creature, now weakened and vulnerable. "This is it… time to end this."

The creature roared one last time, lunging forward in a desperate attempt to finish the fight. But Luffy wasn't backing down. With all his strength, he launched himself once more into the air, his arm stretching far behind him.

"Gomu Gomu no King Kong Gun!"

His massive, Haki-coated fist collided with the creature's chest, shattering the remnants of its stone armor. The impact created a shockwave so powerful it tore through the ground, sending chunks of earth flying in every direction. The creature let out a final, agonized roar before collapsing in a heap, its body disintegrating into a cascade of light and dust.

As the dust settled, the island grew silent. The oppressive energy that had once surrounded them dissipated, replaced by a serene calm. The Heart of the island no longer glowed with dark energy; instead, it pulsed softly, as if finally at peace.

Luffy exhaled, reverting back to his normal form. He stumbled slightly but caught himself, a grin spreading across his face. "We did it… It's over."

The crew gathered around him, their exhaustion evident, but their spirits lifted.

Sanji lit a cigarette, exhaling a puff of smoke. "About time. Let's get back to the ship."

Zoro nodded, sheathing his swords. "Yeah. This island has given us enough trouble."

Robin looked at the Heart one last time, her eyes thoughtful. "We've changed its fate. The cycle is broken."

Nami smiled softly. "And we're still standing. That's all that matters."

As they made their way back toward the shore, the sun rose higher, bathing the island in warm, golden light. Their adventure on the Forgotten Isle had come to an end, but they knew more challenges awaited them beyond the horizon.

Luffy turned to look back at the Heart, his grin widening. "Let's keep moving forward. There's still a world out there waiting for us."

"Yeah!" the crew shouted in unison.

With that, they boarded the Sunny, their hearts light and their resolve stronger than ever, ready for whatever the sea had in store.

The End.
