"How long will this take? I thought we had to evacuate an island?" Listening to Flash I shared his lack of patience, we had a situation to attend to.

"The first team is already there, we'll go as soon as we finish this. I want to know what you found out?" We all looked at Batman who started to speak.

"The Cadmus project is about developing weapons, specifically to fight us" That was logical.

"They think we've become too powerful and want to balance the scales," he said, letting out a sigh.

"It's true, for all of them we are a force to be reckoned with, it's logical that these projects exist" looking at the majority ignoring Shayera.

[T/N:Shayera is Hawkgirl]

"Exactly, they were after the Ultimen and the Supergirl clone" We didn't know what else they could have in their hands but having cloned a Kryptonian anything was possible.

"What are you so worried about? We would never try to take power" Looking at Flash I answered.

"The masters of justice did it in their dimension, I suffered from Kryptonite poisoning, if I had thought about it I could have caused a lot of damage, in essence, they couldn't stop us" Flash continued smiling.

"With the masters, everything happened because their Flash died, so if you focus on keeping me alive, that will never happen" Listening to Flash's logic, all we could do was look at him without believing that he had said that.

"I've seen the federal funding, there is no budget for the Cadmus project, where is the money coming from?" we all had a suspect.

"Luthor is the obvious suspect, however, if he finances Cadmus he covers his tracks very well, Question is investigating him" At that we all let out a noise of annoyance.

"I'll admit he's a bit eccentric, but if anyone can find a hidden link between Luthor and Cadmus it's him, in the meantime I'll follow the trail through Waller's side" I knew from my own research that Waller knew who Batman really was but it didn't seem to concern her.

"That's all for now, it's time to solve the island issue" Getting up I followed the others without paying attention to Shayera who for a moment exchanged glances with me.

Being in the company of Superman I had taken the liberty of using my Kryptonian form to help him create tunnels in the volcano to prevent the eruption.

" How are you doing on your side Max!?" finishing the tunnel I watched the lava fill the hole I had created before answering Superman.

" Well, it seems the lava level has decreased since we started," a tremor forced me to hold on for a moment. "Superman, did we cause that?!" His response alarmed me.

" No...someone landed, they're coming to kill me, help the others, I'll take care of it" A second later the communication was lost.

" Damn...Diana, hurry up the evacuation, something happened" Remembering more or less where Clark was, I flew towards him.

After several seconds I reached the fight and found Superman fighting someone I had only seen in images.

" Doomsday" sending Superman flying, the creature looked at me with interest.

[T/N: F*CK! RUN! If he gets access to/ resistance to omnitrix transformations then everything will die!!]

" You look like Superman...the one who hurt me, you will die too" jumping towards me with great speed I could barely counterattack.

Dodging his blow, I lifted him up with a blow to the jaw followed by one to the chest, sending him flying in the direction of Superman who was waiting for him with a blow to the back, sending him flying against one of the walls of the volcano.

"I...told you I'd take care of it." Seeing him injured, I was surprised that he resisted against that thing.

" And you did fine" The destruction of the wall where Doomsday had landed silenced us.

"Let's go" Clearing at full speed we both attacked, although it was a mistake because it seemed that Doomsday learned very quickly.

Kicking a wave of lava made us lose sight of him, taking advantage of the opportunity to send Superman flying with a blow while he held me tightly by the neck.

" You will be the first" his strength was greater than mine as my efforts to free myself failed as darkness invaded my vision.

"Let go!" Superman appeared beside us, charging at him and forcing him to let go of me as they disappeared into the rock.

" -Damn monster-" Taking a breath I prepared to join the fight again.

Several minutes later while the three of us were exchanging blows an explosion happened that was powerful enough to send us flying out of the volcano.

Landing on my back and with my suit almost burned, I barely had time to see Doomsday's knee hit my face, knocking me out completely.

Slowly opening my eyes I noticed that I was once again in the Watchtower infirmary, although not alone.

"How are you?" Hearing Batman's voice, I turned my face slightly, surprised by his condition.

"Me? What happened to you!?" Standing up calmly, I walked towards him as he told me what had happened with the missile that had been fired at the island and his conversation with Superman and Wonder Woman.

"You're right Bruce, but what can we do?" His not answering me was the worst thing that could happen, him not knowing what to do was not a good thing for the future.

"Master, he's going on patrol, he wants us to accompany him!" Entering the tower room he could only smile slightly at Starfire.

"Thanks for the offer Star but for now I'll be going out alone" The girl's attitude had become more clingy after a small incident with a time traveler.

It seemed that she had traveled to an alternate future where life had not been good to the Titans, apparently not to me either, since from what she was told I had been missing for almost fifteen years.

Being as she was after her journey, she believed that the best way to avoid that future was to stay with the Titans and me at every opportunity.

Transforming into XLR8 I left the tower heading towards the city for a routine patrol, a few hours later while taking a short break a call from the Watchtower caught my attention.

" This is Omnaz, what's going on?" the response of one of the workers surprised me.

" Sir, a comet of energy is approaching your direction, according to League records it is likely the traveler known as Sunny" It had been a while since I received a visit from my girlfriend Anodite so I couldn't help but smile.

" Thank you for updating me, I'll take care of it, there will be no need for the league to get involved" Accepting my words the communication was cut off as I transformed again to run off into the forest near the city.

Arriving at a small hill free of trees I returned to my human form knowing that Sunny would find me there without any problem, which turned out to be true several minutes after my arrival.

" Hello Hero" smiling I opened my arms as she approached so we could hug each other.

"Hi Sunny, I missed you" Her laugh gave me a feeling of happiness, after several seconds we separated enough for her to kiss me, using her superior strength I couldn't and didn't want to prevent her from dominating the kiss.

" I missed you too" Taking a breath I looked at her with my eyes slightly clouded both from the lack of air and from what her passion had caused me.

Landing in front of me her body shimmered for a moment before her human disguise covered her.

"Come on, tell me what you did while we were apart" Sitting on the floor I began to tell her everything that had happened.

"Time travel huh... that explains everything" Confused I looked at her waiting for her to explain "During that time our bond was... stretched, if that's a way to call it, your emotions didn't reach me completely just a few little buzzes" looking me directly in the eyes she smiled slightly.

"But I could feel your fear, worry, and terror...all related to me" With each word my eyes opened slightly causing her to notice that she was right "...I would like to know what caused those emotions."

" G-God no... I'm not ready to tell you what happened" Unfortunately I had no choice as someone else stepped forward, appearing in front of us with a small white flash was a smiling Thundra causing my terror to increase.

"MAX, QUEEN DIANA TOLD ME ABOUT OUR FUTURE DAUGHTER LYRA!" Even with my eyes closed in resignation, I could see the flash beside me, knowing what awaited me. Turning, I slowly opened my eyes, finding Sunny in her completely serious Anodite form.

"C-Can I transform?" It was worth trying to get some compassion from her.

" -No-" she didn't even scream but I could feel her anger, so I could only do one thing.

"-This will hurt-" I accepted my fate a second before the violet light filled my vision followed by pain.

"-I-It hurts-" Turning my face I found an image that surprised me, a calmer Sunny was talking to a smiling Thundra, although they both looked at me as soon as they heard me.

"Your wounds have been closed but the pain will continue for a while" Knowing that I had been lucky I didn't answer, I just nodded knowing that I still owed her an explanation "Thundra told me what she found out from Diana, but I want to hear everything from you" without moving I began to speak, telling everything in detail.

After I finished I looked at her waiting for her to say something, while Thundra looked excited about what she now knew about her future daughter.

"...I guess this happened with your older version and it's likely that over the years we came to an agreement" Standing up she looked at Thundra with a smile "We'll talk later, I want to go on a date with my boyfriend."

Thundra smiled back as she said goodbye without a fight, to my surprise, watching her disappear I saw Sunny again.

"Get up, I'm hungry" Without saying anything I started to get up trying to ignore the pain that was surrounding me, after several seconds I managed to stand in front of her "What are you waiting for? Transform so you can take me."

An hour later I found myself trying not to moan in pain while eating in a small restaurant with Sunny with all the privacy the place could afford us, which was a small private corner.

"Don't exaggerate, I know you've suffered more in your fights" Looking at Sunny I noticed that her annoyance was still present.

"You and I both know that you did something to make my pain memorable," her small smile was the only response. "...Tell me how your training was?"

"Well, that's all for today!" Looking at the Titans I couldn't help but smile slightly at their great progress in their teamwork even after the Red X incident, as everyone approached I congratulated them lightly "Everyone has made great progress... especially you Terra."

The little blonde smiled in slight embarrassment at my words as the others cheered her on, the little inclusion in the team had been perfect for the Titans in their teamwork, in addition to other more dangerous reasons.

"Well, you have the rest of the week to yourselves, the city will be in your complete care, the League needs me to solve some problems" The information leak as well as the theft of the Watchtower had caused Batman to ask me to review the entire information network, something that would take me days.

"Take care, Master!" Smiling at Starfire's excitement, I said goodbye to go to the Watchtower.

Hours later taking my first break I found myself entering the watchtower cafeteria while trying to relax a little, or at least I tried until I saw Flash's pathetic attempt to reconcile Diana and Shayera, in which he failed monumentally.

"Your attempt was very pathetic Flash" Stopping cleaning his hand he looked at me before returning to his cleaning task.

Returning to my task in a much better mood thanks to Flash's actions, I dedicated myself to finishing my work using the smartest way I had.

" -Well, ninety percent of the security is clean, now all that's left is…-" A small message caught my attention, especially because it was external "Interesting. "

Opening the message I found a simple message.

" See you in an hour, don't draw attention" Along with the message there were some coordinates that I located without any problem and a live image of the Titan Tower lounge where the young people were having a good laugh.

" A trap using the young people as security... I better hurry" Jumping from the console I returned to my human form, without saying anything I left the safety zone, returning some greetings I arrived at the takeoff zone.

I knew that Batman would find out if I teleported to Jump City, and he also knew who was calling me to the city, so I transformed into Chromastone and took off at high speed towards Earth.

Sometime later, without anyone noticing, I calmly landed at the coordinates, waiting for whoever would call me there.

As the minutes passed I simply stood there waiting, motionless as a statue until the sound of footsteps began to sound in the area.

"You're early" Emerging from the shadows was a woman wearing a black trench coat over a red blouse and black pants "Cautious, okay" Even though she was beautiful, her tone of voice sent shivers down my spine.

" Why am I here?" Looking at me seriously, I noticed that she was analyzing me, putting me slightly on guard.

"You asked the right question, so I will answer, you are here for a test" Taking out a katana from her back she continued "We will fight, hand to hand, if you pass the children will live, if you fail they will die" that caused me to fill my palms with power but she did not flinch so calming down slightly I spoke.

" Do I have your word that you will keep to the deal?" She just waved her katana before answering.

"Lady Shiva always keeps her word, now prepare yourself" Looking at her I knew I couldn't use force against her, and since it was a test heavyweights were out of the question, leaving me with only one option.

Transforming into a flash, I felt my height increase slightly as I moved my new fingers.

"...Strong legs, strong body, integrated weapons, excellent choice" Without saying more I attacked with surprising speed, thanks to my new reflexes I stopped her cut with my blade without problems, the following cuts were also stopped until I counterattacked with a kick that she received with the katana being sent flying several meters.

Without waiting a second I jumped, calculating where I should end up to attack her with a kick that she dodged without problems while I destroyed the ground with force, raising my arm I stopped her attack, meeting her face.

"Good reflexes, but you hold back your attacks, you're afraid to kill... again" Using my strength I turned her away from me enough to give a kick that she dodged so I continued attacking, which she continued to dodge without problems.

Finding an opening between my attacks Shiva managed to deflect one of my kicks making me stumble enough to cut my chest before kicking me in the face causing me to fly a few meters.

"Your fear of killing binds you... however, you have a good foundation... is it you or is it your transformation?" Taking the moment to get up while checking my chest, I answered while seeing my claws full of blood.

" Some of it's mine, but most of it's from the transformation..." Without further ado I shot at her, landing a few meters away to kick her, waiting for her counterattack. As soon as she slashed, I caught her sword with my claws, ripping it from her hands and kicking her chest again, using the moment of surprise.

Watching Shiva fly off to crash into the ground I took a step only to end up on one knee from the pain caused by the cut.

" -It hurts more than I thought-" Touching the wound I noticed that the bleeding increased considerably at least until some shoes appeared before my eyes forcing me to lift my face.

"You pass, you have proven that you can surprise even the most trained, the children will be left out of this, good luck with your future young aspirant" Without waiting any longer Shiva quickly walked away disappearing before someone landed in front of me.

"What happened?" Hearing the annoyance in Batman's tone, I just let out a sigh.

" The security of the Watchtower is almost complete" Seeing that he would not get more he simply helped me lie down while he took some things out of his belt.

Sitting in the living room on my separate side of the tower I was looking at three images with information.

The first was from the masked woman who had attacked me in my house a long time ago.

The second of Deathstroke with his final moves.

The third was about Lady Shiva with the little information Batman had been willing to hand over after my fight with her.

"The first attack was to show me that I was defenseless, the second so that I knew that even my transformations were not invincible and the third to demonstrate my growth... but the question still remains: Who sent them and why?" A call from the watchtower brought me out of my thoughts.

"This is Omnaz" I heard Superman's voice but it sounded tense.

" Omnaz I need you to come to the watchtower for a meeting about Shazam's statements" Blinking slightly I looked at the communicator.

"Could you explain to me what statements" As soon as he told me the situation I managed to understand what was happening but there was also another situation "I will not go"

" May I know why?" I answered without hesitation.

"If they're going to reprimand him for his words, then it would be very hypocritical of me to be present when he was of great help in stopping me during my intoxication, you must understand that it's not right for me to be present." Without waiting for him to respond, I continued "I'll support whatever you decide, but I won't be part of the decision. I hope you understand."

"-So it's time-" Seeing the time I transformed to go to the tower to wait.

It was a matter of minutes before I watched as the tower room slowly filled with very familiar-looking robots. As soon as the hallway door opened and Cyborg entered, I knew the fight would begin shortly.

"-Oh no-" being seen the robots pointed their weapons so I acted, being invisible I released a stream of cold air freezing the first robots.

" Cyborg, activate the alarm!" thanks to my attack he had the opportunity to cover himself to do so while the robots focused on me.

"ON IT!" Using my breath I dedicated myself to freezing everything I saw, hoping that the other Titans would join soon.

Several minutes later as the fight continued I could hear Robin calling out to Beast Boy while the other Titans fought.

" Stop, he won't join, neither will Terra" Listening to me everyone looked at me without stopping fighting.

"What do you mean?!" Listening to Robin, I transformed in the middle of several robots to shoot several rays of electricity.

" I thought you wouldn't believe me, not after she joined the team so easily, but surely you must have realized that this is an inside job" Taking a robot by the head I melted it with a ray "Terra is a traitor and I think I know who she works for"

"No, Terra is our friend, she wouldn't betray us!" Hearing Starfire's scream, I continued to finish off the robots without hesitation.

" Think about it Starfire, she came out of nowhere, no one in the League knew her, someone with her powers stands out, and above all, Deathstroke's attacks intensified but always without him showing up" letting out a scream a large amount of electricity finished off the largest number of robots allowing the titans a break.

"-All that remains is to rebuild and move forward-" I knew that the Titans were emotionally hurt even if they didn't show it, it was time for them to have a break to recover from what had happened.

Thanks to the League's support, in just one week the tower was in perfect condition, the titans however, were still not as well as before, especially Beast Boy, who was the most affected.

"Robin, I have to do something, I'll be back later" Looking at me the boy nodded while I transformed into XLR8 to leave the island.

The trip from Jump City to NY took me only a few minutes, finding who I was looking for, well that was different because he was the one who found me.

" Hello Shazam" Looking at the hero I noticed his smile of joy as he greeted me.

"Omnaz, it's an honor to talk to you!" laughing lightly I returned to my human form to take his hand,

"I remember that we had already spoken before, although, of course, I was not in my best moment" Smiling but with slight embarrassment he tried to apologize "No Shazam, the one who should apologize is me, I was in a pitiful state, without help from the League, I don't know what would have happened, so thank you"

My words caused a slight blush to fill his face in embarrassment as he laughed, letting him recover and look at the city for a few seconds before speaking again.

"I understand your decision to leave the League" Without looking at him I continued "The various situations have made the attitude towards certain people different from years ago, which does not mean that it is something good or bad."

"I... I felt disappointed by the League's attitude... I couldn't continue... I'm relieved to hear that someone supports my decision" Looking at him I smiled slightly.

"We should always support those who make good decisions... tell me, would you like to patrol for a while in company?" His enthusiastic smile was the only answer I needed, so I transformed and fluttered lightly to take off. "Let's go."

Without hesitation, Shazam followed me as we flew through the city.

A call from the tower stopped my patrol so I returned to my human form and answered.

"What's wrong Robin?" His altered voice let me know that something had happened.

"Omnaz, the central computer notified us of a shot from the Watchtower to New Mexico!" without waiting for a second I transformed into XLR8 reaching the tower in seconds.

" Computer change to news channels!" Ignoring the Titans I started working as the news began to broadcast what little they knew about what happened "-NoNoNo, this can't be happening-".

"What happened?!" Listening to Cyborg I let out a sigh before answering.

" The watchtower fired the binary fusion cannon at the Cadmus base on land" that caused everyone to be surprised "I don't know what happened, but this will change everything" Returning to my human form I rubbed my eyes.

"What do we do now?" Looking at Robin I took a second before answering.

"I'll go to the impact zone, you guys stay alert, we don't know how the world will react but stay calm" transforming into Ma-El I left the tower without further ado heading towards the area.

Traveling at full speed I arrived at the city without hesitating for a second and began to help people. I spent the next few hours without saying anything while I put out fires, picked up debris, and looked for survivors. I barely greeted the other members who were helping. The only thing that mattered was helping as much as I could.

Thanks to my new hearing I could hear people starting to complain against the heroes for what happened so with a sigh I continued with my work, Superman's voice stopped me for a moment.

" Max, I need you in the Watchtower conference room," I replied, putting out a fire.

" Not now Superman, I'm needed here now, whatever you need to discuss, do it and let me know," without waiting any longer, I finished the communication while ignoring the whispers and glances.

The decision they came to minutes later took me as much by surprise as it did Batman, staring at the communicator screen I waited.

"You want me to what?" Wonder Woman answered Batman without hesitation.

"That you surrender to the national army, with all of us" While Flash agreed with her I just let out a sigh while massaging my face.

"See you at the coordinates, we have to go together" Unable to hold back any longer, I spoke.

" It's a stupid and incredulous plan, if you are so guilty, solve the situation, don't expect those who fear us to do it" Looking at me Diana stopped me.

"We already voted five in favor" Flash's voice giving her support stopped her for a moment "Do you support us, Bruce?"

"I don't have to do anything, I work part-time" Ending his call he left.

" Give yourselves up, I'll do my job" Ending the call I returned to my job ignoring his calls.

A sound approaching made me turn slightly, meeting someone familiar.

" Karen, welcome." The older version of Kara had interacted very little with me since the Kryptonite accident. "Come to help?" She nodded in response.

"It's the least we can do" Returning to our work we both started to help, the next few minutes at least until a barely understandable call.

" OM…WAT..E..APO…WATCHTOWER" A call of that type during the situation was not something normal or a coincidence.

" Karen, I'm leaving you, I have to go check something out" she gave me a nod as I flew off towards the watchtower.

After several seconds of having the watchtower in sight, I noticed the problem.

" -So it's your counterattack-" Increasing my speed I went through a wall encountering several members fighting with clones of the Ultimen including my aspiring assassin "They are not living beings, so I will not hold back" Using my vision I fired with enough force to cause serious damage to the clones as I advanced through the area.

Going through clones without stopping, I ignored the water currents that were shot at me as well as the different animals until I heard some screams, reaching the fountain I found a t-rex about to attack the workers.

" Take cover!" attacking the animal I broke its jaw causing it to land on the ground without further ado "Anyone hurt?" everyone shook their heads so I continued with my job stopping the clones at least until a scream caught my attention "Kara!"

Managing to detect the origin, I shot out towards the reactor room, finding Kara completely injured and being beaten by someone very familiar.

" Get away from her, clone" Looking at me the girl smiled arrogantly.

"I'm done with her, it's time to test myself against someone stronger" Without hesitation she attacked me with a smile only to be surprised that her blow hadn't affected me at all "WHAT!?"

" You're not a clone at all" Counterattacking I hit her in the face making her stumble, continuing, I attacked without hesitation damaging her more and more.

Hitting her face I held her before she hit the ground to give her face several blows before allowing her to fall to the ground, a small sound made me see her ear.

" Galatea, the mission is canceled, do you hear me? We need the Ultimen and you "Looking at the clone of Kara I noticed the device on her forehead.

" Your clone is indisposed Amanda" Raising my foot I crushed her face hurting her and breaking the device on her forehead.

" Don't do this kid, we have a bigger problem!" looking at the severely injured clone I spoke.

" Yes, we do" Breaking the communicator I ended the call while the power returned to the watchtower, walking to the control computer I connected to the communications.

" Attention everyone in the watchtower, this is Omnaz, the situation here is under control but there is still work to be done, everyone on high alert" Ending the call I walked towards Kara to take her to the infirmary.

Minutes later as I watched Kara receive the necessary attention alongside several other heroes I allowed myself to return to my human form.

"Everything seems to be in order for the moment" looking at Canary speaking.

"Yes, but it's not over, Cadmus still has to take responsibility for what happened" Looking around the watchtower I let out a slight sigh as I took in what had happened in the last few hours.

"Omnaz, we have a situation in Metropolis!" Hearing the call, I looked at the screen closest to the infirmary, seeing images of a fight between the League against what seemed to be.

"Brainiac" walking to the communication room only had one option "Contact any original members of the League, I want to know the situation."

" Max, move to the coordinates we sent you, we will explain everything to you" Having my orders I transformed into Chromastone while listening to what had happened from Batman's voice.

Traveling at full speed it would still take me a few minutes to reach the area so I could only hope that the others could survive the fight.

An explosion near where the others were made me increase my speed, arriving at the exact moment when a person very similar to Luthor approached Flash.

He barely had a moment to look at me before he received a blast of energy that sent him flying away from Flash.

"Better late than never right" Looking at him for a moment I smiled before looking at Luthor.

"The last dangerous member of the League, you will fall like the others" Seeing his new form I decided it was better to go with everything so I transformed into a flash ignoring the lightning bolt he shot at me.

" I'll give it back to you" pointing with my hand a green ray hit him causing a huge explosion, when the dust disappeared I was not surprised to see him among the damaged rubble.

"How can you hurt me!?" Ignoring his screams I flew towards him destroying the tentacles that tried to stop me.

" Everything, even technology is fragile against radiation" Grabbing him by the face I created more radiation no matter how many blows he gave to my body "I hope you survived Luthor."

The gathered energy began to accumulate greatly as Luthor and I were slowly enveloped in it.

" -There we go-" A small but powerful explosion destroyed the area, when everything calmed down I found myself seeing a very injured Luthor without any trace of technology "Now yes, it's over Luthor"

Taking him by the neck we left the crater created by the explosion, meeting up with the other members of the League.

The next day while Superman was giving a speech about what happened, ending the League, only for Green Arrow to make him notice that the League had been created by us but that now it didn't need us to continue, he knew that nothing would be the same but many things would be and personally he didn't know how we would solve it, he just hoped that we would do the right thing.
