Chapter 57

Chapter 57: Zhao Renzhou’s Bloody Annihilation of the Mercenary Team

Zhao Renzhou walked over unhurriedly.

The mercenary also noticed Zhao Renzhou.

Struggling amidst the shattered glass fragments on the floor,

Trying to lift himself up.

But the shock from the high-explosive blast

Sent him crashing down from the second floor.

His whole body nearly falling apart.

It wasn’t easy to get up after that.

His arms trembled.

As he tried to raise his body and look up.

Bang, bang—

Two bullets pierced his palms.

The mercenary, lying amidst the coffee table shards,

let out a painful howl.

The excruciating pain made him instinctively twist his body,

But Zhao Renzhou’s footsteps were getting closer.

The mercenary,

Struggling to lift his head, looked up.

Bang, a bullet passed through his eye,

Piercing his brain,

Instantly ending his life.

Motionless,

Zhao Renzhou paid no attention to the body on the coffee table shards.

Ignoring the scorching heat that lingered after the explosion,

He stepped onto the second floor.

Bang, he gave a finishing shot to the mercenary who had crashed into the wall,

Rendered unconscious.

Including the charred body parts opposite the bedroom on the second floor,

Three were dead here.

Adding the two on the bedroom balcony, and the two at the villa’s entrance,

He had killed a total of seven so far.

There could be more,

But he wasn’t sure.

But the remaining ones were undoubtedly upstairs,

As he had cleared the lower levels.

Zhao Renzhou used the arsenal space to load his Desert Eagle in his right hand with bullets,

And he sheathed the dagger back at his waist with his left hand.

Then, a flashbang grenade appeared in his hand.

Zhao Renzhou removed the safety gripped it firmly,

And proceeded slowly up the stairs.

The soles of his shoes touched the floor,

Yet they made no sound.

Third floor.

Two mercenaries hiding in a bedroom,

Their foreheads covered in cold sweat.

The battle had ended too quickly.

Before they even hit the ground,

They heard gunshots.

Just as they rushed from the roof top to the third floor,

There was a violent explosion below.

The two of them sought refuge in the bedroom.

Not long after escaping the explosion they heard a few gunshots,

Followed by complete silence.

No need to think.

Their other teammates had surely been taken out!

The plan wasn’t wrong.

The execution wasn’t wrong either.

But… One person killed seven?

Is this guy even human?!

No matter how much they cursed in their hearts,

They had to think of an escape plan.

Their position was too precarious.

Above the second floor below the fourth floor.

That person might be outside right now.

Retreating through the corridor was definitely not an option.

But not retreating through the corridor,

They couldn’t just jump out of the window could they?

They couldn’t possibly make it to the rooftop!

Damn it!

They dared not make a sound.

The two of them exchanged a few tactical hand signals,

Then reached for the grenades and smoke bombs hanging from their waists.

One of them gripped the door handle,

They locked eyes for a moment,

Nodded.

In an instant, they opened the door!

Two smoke grenades were thrown out first,

Followed by a hand grenade.

Then they quickly closed the bedroom door.

However, something

Slipped in through the gap as the door closed.

The two heard a faint sound,

Their hearts raced with boundless terror.

A grenade?!

As this thought flashed through their minds, the intruding object suddenly detonated,

Emitting a sharp noise,

And intense, blinding light.

It wasn’t a grenade?!

But, As the bright light passed,

Both of them were instantly blinded.

Their ears were ringing,

Boom! Outside in the hallway,

There was another explosion.

The walls and the ground shook.

Both of them felt a growing sense of unease.

Running away was no longer an option.

Blinded and disoriented,

They had to rely on their previous memory of the room.

They rushed toward the balcony.

Suddenly,

They felt a gust of wind.

The battered bedroom door crashed into them directly,

Carrying them along shattering the glass as they fell onto the balcony.

Zhao Renzhou approached swiftly,

His dagger spinning in his hand.

He reached the balcony grabbed the head of one of the Black mercenaries raised his hand and brought down the blade,

Precisely on the neck creating a ten-centimeter gash.

Blood gushed from the severed artery, spurting four to five meters away,

Like a small fountain,

Splattering blood everywhere.

They clutched their throats, writhing and struggling,

Awaiting the arrival of the Grim Reaper,

Their despair palpable.

As for the lone remaining mercenary,

He already sensed the impending doom.

Desperately, he cried out in the urgent language of the Free State.

Zhao Renzhou understood.

It was a plea for mercy.

But he paid no heed.

He seized the mercenary by the head and lifted him up,

His dagger moving in a blur.

All that could be heard were,

The sound of stabbing, repeatedly.

The last mercenary,

His body riddled with over a dozen wounds,

Zhao Renzhou released his grip.

The mercenary shivered and collapsed on the ground,

Completely incapacitated his body convulsing uncontrollably,

A manifestation of his fear of death.

Beside him another companion his throat cut,

Emitting a hissing cry.

At this point,

Zhao Renzhou had already killed nine,

The mercenaries who had invaded the villa.

He paid no attention to these two doomed individuals,

Lifting his foot, continuing his ascent upstairs.
