Naruto:The avenger of the uzumaki clan

Chapter 37: The waiting game

Chapter

38: The Waiting Game

After the simple greetings, Menma

found a seat and sat down, closing his eyes to concentrate. If there was no

deviation from the original plot, they would have to wait at least five or six

hours. Kakashi usually appeared around 10 or 11 o'clock. Before that, it was

best to recharge his batteries.

Naruto, seeing Menma's attitude,

shrugged helplessly and immediately gave up his intention to chat. He had hoped

that being on the same team would help them get along better, but Menma and

Sasuke remained unchanged. Sakura also looked like she wanted to speak but

didn't dare, twisting her hands together.

The atmosphere was completely

different from the original Team 7.

As the four of them waited silently,

time slowly passed by—one hour, two hours, three hours. The sun hung high in

the sky. By eight o'clock, there was still no sign of Kakashi. Veins bulged on

Naruto's forehead.

"Ahhhhhhh, Brother Kakashi is

such a jerk. You know you can't trust him. He's late again, and it's already

past eight o'clock!" Naruto said angrily.

"Could there be some emergency

on the way..." Sakura weakly suggested, not believing her own words. Under

her seemingly quiet appearance, she was already roaring violently in her heart.

Getting up at 4 in the morning and rushing to the training ground by 5 only to

wait for hours would frustrate anyone.

Sasuke's expression also darkened

visibly. It was still March, early in the morning, and they hadn't had

breakfast. No matter how good-natured a person was, this would twist them.

Only Menma remained calm, sitting

firmly. This wasn't just because he knew the original plot but also because he

had used his perception ability to detect Kakashi's location in advance.

Kakashi must have thought the four kids couldn't discover his location. He

chose the simplest concealment method and hid to observe them, but he couldn't

hide from Menma, who had Kagura's inner eye.

In today's ninja world, many could

defeat Menma, but few could escape his perception. The heart of Kagura from the

Uzumaki clan was a super buggy sensing method!

"Tch, how could there be

something urgent? He's just late. No, I'm going back to file a complaint with

the Third Hokage. Brother Kakashi is really outrageous!!!" Naruto said

angrily. This wasn't the first time Kakashi had deceived Naruto. He even made

an appointment to eat ramen before, but ended up standing him up! Naruto's

anger level was high.

Kakashi, hiding not far away,

couldn't help but shake his head slightly. 'Naruto is still immature. Sakura,

well, not very good either. Sasuke is okay, and Menma seems to be the most

stable one...'

Kakashi was observing the four and

thinking silently. Unlike his usual lateness, this time he was late on purpose

to observe his subordinates secretly. Haruno Sakura didn't require much

attention, but Kakashi took the other three seriously. To better guide and

educate them, Kakashi needed to understand them fully. This was a small

investigation of the four.

A ninja needed patience to be

qualified. Missions often had emergencies that tested a ninja's character and

strength. These conditions could determine the mission's success or failure and

even the ninja's life. Naruto and Sakura were still a bit confused and hadn't

really understood what it meant to be a ninja. This aspect needed

strengthening.

Kakashi continued thinking about his

teaching arrangements and had no plans to reveal himself yet. Testing their

patience was useful, and Kakashi wanted to see if Sasuke and Menma would have

psychological fluctuations if they waited longer, especially Menma, the Kyuubi

Jinchuuriki. Mentality issues needed more emphasis, as Jinchuuriki prone to

fluctuations were likely to lose control. The Third Hokage had given Kakashi

special instructions to pay attention to Menma's mentality.

Time passed bit by bit. By ten

o'clock, they had been waiting for five hours. Seeing Menma still calm, Kakashi

nodded secretly. "Whoosh!" His body straightened up.

"Good morning, everyone!"

With a smile, he appeared directly in front of Menma and Sasuke.

"Ahhh! Good morning, Brother

Kakashi. Do you even know what time it is? It's almost eleven o'clock. You're

more than five hours late!!!" Naruto immediately showed his frustration.

"Haha, I'm sorry, I'm sorry,

Naruto. When I went out this morning, a black cat blocked my way. I had to wait

until it passed before I could set off, so I was late!" Kakashi explained

with a smile.

"Brother Kakashi, do you

believe that yourself?" Naruto looked at Kakashi with ultimate resentment.

Sakura, sitting next to her, looked

at Kakashi with an awkward expression, her body language screaming, "You

dare to be angry but dare not speak out."

At this moment, Kakashi labeled

Haruno Sakura as completely unreliable. "Ahaha, okay, let's get straight

to the point. As I said yesterday, today's test mission may be the last mission

you perform. If you fail, you will have to go back to the academy and study

more!"

Kakashi laughed, then straightened

his face and introduced the topic. Hearing what Kakashi said next, especially

the possibility of returning to the academy, Naruto, Sakura, Sasuke, and even

Menma, who was cooperating with the performance, had their expressions change.
