Chapter 31: Chapter:31
"Energy potions!" Haruto reached out and took out three long, thin test tubes. "They function similarly to Hinata's recovery potion from before, but they're not as powerful."
"After consuming one, you can instantly restore 30% of your chakra, similar to a soldier pill," Haruto explained with a smile.
"But unlike soldier pills, these taste much better!"
"That's great! Now I don't have to worry about running out of chakra anymore!" Ino beamed.
With Yoga increasing her chakra recovery speed and now these energy potions, her biggest weakness—chakra reserves—was no longer a major issue.
Carefully tucking away the vials, Ino turned her attention to the remaining glowing orbs.
"This is... a talisman?"
Unlike experience cards, scrolls, or books, this was their first time seeing a talisman as an item.
"Yes, this is indeed a talisman," Haruto confirmed, picking up the Beans into Soldiers Talisman.
"This talisman records an ancient Sage Jutsu—its power is incredible!"
Haruto twirled it between his fingers.
"It's very easy to use," he continued. "Simply keep it on you, and whenever you inject chakra into a seed, you can summon a legion of plant soldiers to fight for you."
"As long as you have Blue Essence, you can continuously create more soldiers!"
"WHAT?!?"
Naruto's face twisted in confusion.
"Using seeds to fight?! That makes no sense!"
Sasuke, who had remained quiet until now, scoffed.
"Tch, there's no way something like that works."
Suddenly, a lazy voice interrupted.
"You're still thinking too logically," Shikamaru said, his arms crossed.
"You can't apply common sense to this shop."
Sasuke and Naruto turned to him.
"Everything we've seen here defies logic," Shikamaru continued. "Even the most impossible things happen here."
"Yeah, yeah!" Chōji nodded. "At this point, nothing surprises me anymore."
Despite their skepticism, they had personally witnessed Chōji's transformation yesterday.
But Naruto still wasn't convinced.
"This still sounds ridiculous! A seed turning into a soldier? No way!"
"Then I'll show you!"
Ino smirked and pulled out the Blue Rose Flower seeds she had obtained the previous day.
Holding a handful in her palm, she channeled chakra into them before tossing them onto the floor.
"BOOM!"
A burst of smoke exploded around them.
When it cleared, a row of armored female warriors stood proudly in formation.
"The Blue Rose Legion awaits your command!"** they declared in unison, their fists clenched against their chests.
They wore dark blue combat armor, their long, navy-colored hair tied into elegant buns, each adorned with a blue rose hairpin. Their piercing dark blue eyes gleamed with determination.
"Whoa! This is awesome!" Naruto shouted, his mouth hanging open.
He had expected some weird tree monsters—not an army of elegant, battle-ready kunoichi.
Sasuke's expression darkened.
He had been skeptical, but now, seeing the soldiers with his own eyes, he couldn't deny the truth.
Ino smirked, crossing her arms.
"See? I told you the boss never lies."
Naruto clenched his fists.
"It's real!"
Just as quickly as they had appeared, the chakra Ino had infused ran out.
"BOOM!"
The Blue Rose Legion vanished into smoke, reverting back into seeds.
"That was... unbelievable," Sakura murmured, staring at the scattered seeds on the ground.
A simple talisman had the power to summon soldiers?
It was completely absurd!
Haruto grinned. "That's the magic of the golden egg."
"You see now?" Chōji said, popping another potato chip into his mouth. "This shop is just built different."
Haruto reached for the next item.
"Oh, this is the Deluxe Shuriken Set."
Ino's eyes lit up. "Isn't that what Asuma-sensei got before?"
"That's right," Haruto said, handing the set over.
"Boss, what's so special about these?" Naruto asked curiously.
"These automatically track the enemy until they hit their target," Chōji answered before Haruto could.
"WHOA! That's awesome!" Naruto's face was filled with envy.
Sasuke, however, scoffed.
"That's a crutch for weaklings," he muttered under his breath.
Haruto ignored him and moved on to the last item.
"This," he said, "is an Anesthesia Watch."
"A what?"
Haruto displayed the watch, pressing a small button.
"This thing might look like a regular wristwatch," he explained, "but it's actually a miniature tranquilizer gun."
With the press of a button, it fires a tiny, nearly inaudible anesthetic dart—instantly knocking out the target.
"Whoa, that's super useful!" Naruto's eyes sparkled.
"Oh, and it also works as a flashlight." Haruto flicked on a tiny LED light.
"...Not as cool as I thought," Naruto muttered, deflating.
Still, Ino happily took the watch and strapped it to her wrist.
Haruto clapped his hands.
"Alright, who's next?"
"ME! ME!" Naruto jumped up, waving his hands frantically.
"Alright, kid," Haruto grinned. "Each golden egg is 1998 ryo. How many do you want to smash?"
"NANI?!"
Naruto's eyes nearly popped out of his skull.
"T-Two thousand ryo for ONE egg?! Boss, are you robbing me?!"
Haruto snorted.
"You think you can buy these powers for any less?"
Naruto pouted.
After a few seconds of internal struggle, he reluctantly pulled out his little frog wallet and tremblingly handed over the 1998 ryo.
"...Then I'll start with one!"
"Wise choice." Haruto snatched the money and casually flipped Naruto a two-ryo coin.
"Here's your change."
With a snap of his fingers—
"BOOM!"
A gleaming golden egg materialized before Naruto.
"OH! THAT WAS SO COOL!" Naruto shouted in excitement.
Sakura, too, was starstruck.
"So cool..." she muttered, eyes sparkling.
Haruto smiled faintly. "It's nothing special."
But Kakashi, who had been silently watching, narrowed his visible eye.
"That's... the same Space-Time Ninjutsu as Sensei..."
What exactly is this shop owner hiding?
