Naruto:Good and Evil

Chapter 4: 4

The next day, Kenji Uzumaki, who got up early, inspected the wounds from yesterday's battle. A smile appeared as he noticed that the most severe wounds were already scarred and healing, leaving barely a mark on his white and delicate skin, akin to that of a newborn.

Due to Kenji's past life experiences, which left him disenchanted with human interaction, combined with the villagers' disdain, he further isolated himself.

This made Kenji appear very cold. Though not entirely indifferent, he wouldn't initiate conversations. He typically wore a large cloak and a hat, as if to isolate himself from the world.

Kenji looked at himself in the mirror, seeing a handsome young man with a cold expression staring back. His golden hair draped over his shoulders, and his face was delicate. Three whisker-like marks adorned each cheek, and a red mark sat on his forehead. He wore a white short-sleeved shirt and black trousers.

Kenji remarked to his reflection, "The hair's a bit long and needs trimming, but the barber's been refusing to cut my hair for two years. Oh well, it doesn't matter."

Kenji picked up the cloak beside him, muttering, "Isn't it just a little accident burning his hair? I didn't mean to. So petty." He recalled two years ago when he learned his first wind ninjutsu from the Third Hokage and was in high spirits, heading to the market.

Upon passing the barber shop, he saw the owner, who had always treated him decently and never overcharged. On a whim, Kenji tried out his new wind technique, but misjudged and accidentally blew the owner into a campfire, burning his hair.

Who knew a small C-rank wind jutsu could be so powerful? At least the man's property was safe.

Kenji, now in his cloak, reassured himself, "Yeah, he's just too stingy."

Kenji looked at his pale skin and thought, "I should spend more time in the sun. It's too white, like a pretty boy, not masculine enough. I remember Naruto had a tan, but here I am, pale as a ghost. It's the animator's fault."

Leaving his house, Kenji walked down the street, feeling the sun's intensity. He pulled his hood up, thinking, "This is much better."

While heading to practice ninjutsu and taijutsu, Kenji saw a group of kids bullying a little girl with white eyes. His heart twitched.

This was the first person with Byakugan he'd met in this world. And this girl, with her Byakugan, was being bullied by ordinary kids. How absurd. Though he didn't know the full story, Kenji approached.

The bullies, noticing Kenji, taunted, "Isn't this the monster? Want to get beaten too?" Kenji regarded these spoiled brats with disdain.

Ignoring them, he walked to the girl, helped her up, and asked, "Are you okay? My name is Kenji Uzumaki." The girl blushed and replied politely, "Hello, my name is Hinata Hyuga."

In that moment, Kenji was struck, and only six words echoed in his mind: "My name is Hinata Hyuga." When he regained his senses, he noticed her blushing cutely. He thought shamelessly, "To be the wife of an Uzumaki at age 5, so charming."

As Kenji was lost in thought, Hinata shyly asked, "I'm fine. Could you let go of my hand?" Kenji realized he was still holding her hand and quickly released it. Hinata's face remained red, and Kenji felt a bit awkward as silence settled in.

Just as Kenji pondered what to say, the forgotten bullies erupted in anger, "How dare you ignore us! Let's beat the monster!" They charged at him, fists swinging. Kenji's face turned cold, thinking, "Are these brats serious? Let's see how they like a taste of their own medicine."

Kenji quickly formed a few hand signs and unleashed, "Wind Style: Great Breakthrough." A gust of wind sent the bullies flying into the grass ten meters away, leaving them crying, "Monster, monster! Run, run!" Kenji watched them flee, muttering "pathetic" and ignoring them.

Turning to Hinata, he asked, "Hinata, where's your home? I'll escort you back." Hinata, puzzled by the bullies calling him a monster, wondered why. Kenji seemed gentle and strong, not weak like her.

Just as Hinata was about to answer, a figure appeared, shielding her. The newcomer said to Kenji, "Stay away from Hinata, understood?" Kenji recognized the Hyuga guard and smiled at Hinata, "Looks like I won't need to escort you home. Until next time, Hinata."

Hinata replied, "Yes, Kenji, see you again."

Kenji leaped away, disappearing from Hinata's view. Her guard crouched down, advising, "Lady Hinata, you should stay away from that boy."

Hinata asked curiously, "Why?" The guard answered, "You don't need to know, just that he's a monster."

Hinata didn't press further, but she resolved to understand why Kenji was also called a monster. After all, she was considered a monster by other children too.

After Kenji reached his usual training spot for taijutsu and sword practice, he found himself distracted, thinking about Hinata.

He wondered, "Do I have a thing for younger girls? Hinata's only 5. I'm nearly 100 with my past lives. Why do I keep thinking about a 5-year-old? Must be because I'm hungry. Time for ramen."

Kenji headed to a ramen shop, ordered a large bowl, and ate. When it came time to pay, he realized he'd lost his wallet. He couldn't remember where he might've dropped it. The shop owner, seeing Kenji searching his pockets, asked, "What's wrong, Kenji? Forgot your wallet?"

Kenji replied, "Sorry, I don't know where it is."

The owner laughed, "No worries, this one's on me. Could you deliver a meal for me? My daughter's not back, and I can't leave."

Kenji agreed, "Sure, I'm free now." The owner said happily, "Thanks! Please take this to the Uchiha patriarch's house. He wanted it by noon, so hurry!" Kenji nodded, grabbed the delivery box, and left.

As he walked, Kenji mused, "Strange day. Saw Hinata in the morning, now delivering to Sasuke in the afternoon. Destiny seems to have its plans—meeting two significant people in Naruto's life." Kenji's lips curled into a slight smile. "Uchiha, huh? Let's hope you don't disappoint. Time to go."

Kenji arrived at the Uchiha compound, marveling at its prosperity, hard to imagine it as ruins two years later. Approaching Fugaku Uchiha's house, he saw a young boy practicing with a wooden sword.

The boy was handsome, with sharp eyes filled with determination and a hint of pride. His skin was pale, much like Kenji's. Kenji recognized him as Sasuke Uchiha.

Sasuke, noticing Kenji, turned, seeing a stranger in a cloak and hat, standing silently. On a hot day, no less. How odd.

Approaching without greeting, standing there like an idiot. Seeing Sasuke, he just stood there. "Stupid," Sasuke thought, giving Kenji a second label: "still a fool."

If Kenji knew Sasuke's thoughts, he might have laughed. (Sasuke couldn't beat him now. Not even close.)

They stared coldly at each other for nearly a minute until Sasuke finally asked, "Who are you, and what do you want?" Sasuke deliberately ignored the delivery box Kenji held. Kenji raised the box and replied, "Delivery."
