Naruto: You Call This A Medical Ninja?

Chapter 379: **Chapter 379: Tsunade Returns and Gets PUAd!**

The ANBU squad stood awkwardly outside Reiki's courtyard, staring at the door that had just been firmly shut in their faces.

"Well… it seems he's right," the squad leader admitted reluctantly.

Their mission, given by Sarutobi Hiruzen, was to escort Reiki to the Hokage. The potion inquiry was merely an excuse. However, Reiki's calm explanation and refusal to engage left them with little room to act.

"We can't just force him," one of the ANBU reasoned. "If we upset him and Tsunade comes back, we're done for. She'd tear down the Hokage Building if she thought we mistreated her student."

The others nodded in agreement.

---

Back in the Hokage's office, Sarutobi Hiruzen sighed when he heard the report. "Continue monitoring him, but don't push too hard for now," he ordered.

For the next two weeks, Reiki maintained a simple but productive routine. He spent mornings at the hospital gaining experience, afternoons training at the orphanage (where he frequently sparred with and defeated the likes of Uchiha Shisui, Hatake Kakashi, Might Guy, and Sarutobi Asuma), and evenings refining his chakra and experimenting with potions.

**Tsunade Returns**

One morning, after finishing his exercise, Reiki returned home to find a familiar figure waiting in the courtyard.

"Teacher!" Reiki called out, surprised.

Tsunade stood there, her presence radiating a newfound strength. It was clear that her trip to Shikkotsu Forest had been fruitful.

"You haven't caused any trouble while I was gone, have you?" Tsunade asked with a knowing smile, sensing Reiki's progress.

Reiki shook his head. "No trouble yet. But I'm about to stir some up."

"Oh?" Tsunade raised an eyebrow, intrigued.

"I've come into contact with someone… someone who wants to return to Konoha and protect it. Because of my earlier mistakes, I've decided to help him. He's incredibly strong, and I think he could truly make a difference."

Tsunade's smile faded, replaced by curiosity and concern. "Who are you talking about?"

"Uchiha Madara," Reiki replied calmly.

---

**Tsunade's Shock**

"Who!?" Tsunade shot to her feet, disbelief etched across her face. "Uchiha Madara?!"

Reiki nodded. "Yes, the founder of Konoha alongside the Shodaime-sama. He's still alive. Due to some special circumstances, I met him and treated him. He's changed—age and reflection have softened him. Now, he wants to return to Konoha and protect the village he helped build."

Tsunade's jaw dropped. For a moment, she thought she might be hallucinating.

"You… you've confirmed this? His intentions, his memories?" Tsunade asked after a long pause, her tone cautious.

"I have," Reiki assured her. "He has no ulterior motives. His goal is genuine—he wants to protect Konoha."

Tsunade frowned, her mind racing. "The Hokage doesn't know about this, does he?"

"No," Reiki replied. "Only you and Orochimaru know. Orochimaru, however, is currently unable to assist as he's out handling other matters."

Tsunade sat back down, deep in thought. She wasn't entirely opposed to Reiki's plan, but the gravity of bringing someone like Uchiha Madara back to Konoha was almost incomprehensible.

---

**Reiki's Bigger Plan**

"Is there anything else you're not telling me?" Tsunade asked, narrowing her eyes.

Reiki nodded decisively. "Yes."

Tsunade blinked. "What else could there possibly be?"

"The Root organization is nearly dismantled. With the Third Hokage constrained and Orochimaru refraining from problematic actions, Konoha will stabilize and grow," Reiki explained with a smile.

Tsunade's head swam as she processed his words. Dismantling Root? Tying Sarutobi Hiruzen's hands? Welcoming Uchiha Madara back? Each one was a monumental task on its own, but Reiki was tackling them all at once.

"Have you already mapped this all out?" Tsunade asked, incredulous.

Reiki nodded and handed her several scrolls. "Here's everything I've planned so far."

Tsunade opened the first scroll hesitantly. As she began reading, her curiosity deepened. Hours passed as she meticulously went through each scroll, one after another.

---

**Tsunade's Reaction**

By the time she finished, Tsunade was exhausted but also deeply impressed. Reiki's plans were meticulous, strategic, and incredibly ambitious.

"Teacher, let's eat first," Reiki said, bringing her back to reality. "If you have questions, we can discuss them after dinner."

Rope Tree, who had just returned, bounded into the living room with an appetite. The remnants of his previous heartbreak were long gone, replaced by his usual cheerful demeanor.

---

**After Dinner**

Once they were done eating, Tsunade leaned back in her chair, looking at Reiki with newfound respect.

"Reiki, if you succeed in accomplishing all this, what's next?" she asked.

"I'll focus on what I'm truly passionate about—being a medical ninja," Reiki replied without hesitation. "I'll ensure Konoha has the resources and training it needs to develop its medical capabilities. Villagers and shinobi alike should never feel like they're just tools for someone else's ambitions. I want a village that values its people as more than mere assets."

Tsunade's heart swelled with pride and disbelief. She had expected some ambitious plan for power or control, but Reiki's vision was entirely selfless.

"You're really something, Reiki," Tsunade said, her voice soft with admiration. "You've thought of everything."

Reiki smiled. "Not everything. But I'm learning as I go."

Tsunade chuckled. "With your plans, I'm starting to think you don't even need me around."

"Teacher," Reiki replied with a grin, "I'll always need you."
