Naruto: You Call This A Medical Ninja?

Chapter 377: **Chapter 377: Sarutobi Hiruzen Panicked!**

For two entire days, Orochimaru and Reiki sat in Tsunade's courtyard, with Reiki seemingly lost in thought. His calm, motionless demeanor started to worry those around him.

"Is Reiki-kun okay?" Kurenai Yuhi asked, concern evident in her voice as she looked toward the courtyard.

"He's been sitting there for two days," Shizune replied, her worry mirroring Kurenai's. "Orochimaru-sama is with him, so it must be something important. Still, it's hard not to be concerned."

To ease their anxiety, Shizune and Kurenai decided to prepare Reiki's favorite food. Once it was ready, Shizune approached cautiously.

"Reiki-nii, it's time to eat," Shizune said softly.

Reiki blinked as though snapped out of a trance. "Okay." He nodded, then turned to Orochimaru. "Orochimaru-sama, would you like to join us?"

Orochimaru was caught off guard. "Oh? No, I—" He hesitated, then quickly changed his mind. "Actually, yes. Let's eat together."

**During Dinner**

As they ate, Reiki finally broke his silence. "Thank you, Kurenai, Shizune. I've realized something important over the past two days."

Everyone turned their attention to him.

"Sometimes, we don't need to face problems directly. We can use other means to solve them," Reiki said with a calm smile, laying out a map and placing his hand on Cloud Village.

"Cloud Village?" Orochimaru asked, bewildered. His mind raced to understand Reiki's intentions.

"I have a way to leverage Cloud Village to help me," Reiki explained. "As for the organization Kakuzu and the others formed, with enough funding, they'll cooperate."

He paused, a smile playing on his lips. "And to set everything in motion, I'll rely on Brother Minato."

Orochimaru's eyes widened. "Namikaze Minato? You're sending him to contact Uchiha Madara?"

"Yes," Reiki replied confidently. "Minato's straightforwardness is an asset. Besides, it's less likely the Sandaime will suspect anything if Minato's involved."

Reiki leaned back, his tone growing more serious. "I'll also need you, Orochimaru-sama, to create a distraction for the Sandaime. Meanwhile, Danzo will need a little… encouragement. Certain individuals should start moving."

Orochimaru set his utensils down, unable to eat. He understood the gravity of what Reiki was proposing. If executed, the plan could upend the power dynamics in Konoha. Even Sarutobi Hiruzen might be forced into a corner.

"I need time to think," Orochimaru finally said, his voice calm but tense.

"You have a month," Reiki replied. "That's the time frame I've set to make the arrangements."

Orochimaru nodded, excusing himself shortly afterward. As he stepped outside, a chill ran down his spine. He hadn't realized it while sitting in the courtyard, but his back was drenched with sweat.

**Orochimaru's Thoughts**

"Tsunade, you've trained an incredible disciple," Orochimaru murmured as he walked away. "Perhaps if someone like Reiki had been around earlier, I wouldn't have resorted to such extremes."

He shook his head, disappearing into the shadows. Deep down, he hoped Reiki's methods could succeed without plunging the village into chaos.

**Inside the Hokage's Office**

Sarutobi Hiruzen frowned as he listened to the latest reports.

"Orochimaru and Reiki spent two days together? And now Orochimaru has met with Danzo, and the two have left the village together?"

"Yes, Hokage-sama," an ANBU confirmed nervously.

Sarutobi's brows furrowed in concern. On their own, these events might not seem unusual, but the timing made him uneasy. Orochimaru was unpredictable at the best of times, and now he had been in close contact with Reiki—a prodigy whose recent actions had drawn significant attention.

"Tsunade and Jiraiya aren't in the village either," Sarutobi muttered, his mind racing. He couldn't shake the feeling that something larger was at play.

"Immediately investigate how frequently Tsunade, Jiraiya, and Orochimaru have met recently," Sarutobi ordered. "And look into any unusual movements within the Shimura clan."

"Yes, Hokage-sama!" The ANBU responded, vanishing swiftly.

As Sarutobi sifted through his gathered intelligence, the unease in his chest grew stronger. Something was brewing, and he feared he wouldn't like what he found.

**Reiki at the Village Gate**

The following morning, Reiki finally stood and left the courtyard. His destination: the village gates.

As he neared the gates, two familiar figures appeared. Sarutobi Asuma, the Sandaime's son, and his jonin mentor, Morishita.

"Reiki, heading out on a mission?" Asuma asked casually, though his tone carried a hint of curiosity.

Reiki smiled politely. "Something like that. Just a small errand."

Asuma studied him for a moment before nodding. "Stay safe. If you need backup, let us know."

"Will do," Reiki replied, walking past them. His mind remained focused on the intricate web of plans he needed to execute.

**Back in the Hokage's Office**

The ANBU's investigations returned with unsettling results.

Sarutobi Hiruzen stared at the reports, his hands trembling slightly. Meetings between Tsunade, Jiraiya, and Orochimaru had been more frequent than he realized. Now Orochimaru had aligned himself with Reiki, and Danzo had vanished as well.

Sarutobi felt the weight of the Hokage's hat more acutely than ever. "Could it be… they're planning something behind my back?"

For the first time in decades, the legendary Professor felt a pang of panic.
