Naruto: Wooing Tsunade from Day One!

Chapter 87: Chapter 87: Task Assignment

"Send someone back to the village to tell the Third Kazekage that we need supplies."

"Send more people out. I want to know immediately if the people of Konoha are up to anything."

"Finally, guard the front line well and don't give the people of Konoha any opportunities."

"Everyone can go now."

Chiyo gave out the tasks in a hoarse voice. She no longer had the high spirits she had when she first arrived and waved her hand to dismiss everyone.

"Sister..."

"You go too. I want to be quiet for a while."

Chiyo told her younger brother to leave as well. Ebizō sighed, looked at her a few times, and left silently.

"Wo wo~"

After her younger brother left, Chiyo could no longer hold back. She covered her face with her hands and cried out loud.

"Sasori, Grandma is sorry."

Seeing someone young pass away, Chiyo already began to regret attacking the Konoha camp. But there was no medicine for regret in the world, and she was determined to take revenge.

As the days passed, Tsunade received news that a large amount of supplies would be delivered in two days. But the Third Kazekage was still arguing with the Daimyō over the supplies, as the Land of Wind was already poor, and every request for resources felt like a death sentence.

The Suna ninja on the front line were barely surviving on the little food they had left, and life was very difficult.

Duy led a team to eliminate threats along the supply route one by one and returned to the camp after leaving a team behind. Naturally, Tsunade wouldn't waste such high-end combat power in large-scale battles.

Kawakaze's camp accommodations were in a small kitchen run by an Earth Release ninja. It looked unremarkable from the outside, but the inside was carefully decorated, which was why the two boys decided to sleep on the floor when they returned. They even set up the bed themselves.

Kawakaze couldn't live with Tsunade in the camp, otherwise the two boys would definitely get kicked out.

Today, everyone gathered in Kawakaze's room for a drink, which also served as a small-scale battle meeting.

"Supplies will arrive the day after tomorrow, so we can start assigning tasks," Kawakaze said directly. Everyone was familiar with each other, so he wasn't afraid of stealing Tsunade's thunder.

"I'll follow the arrangements," Duy said, eating his meat without hesitation.

"What about us?" Nawaki and Minato looked at Kawakaze with anticipation.

"You two just follow us," Tsunade said, giving each of them a pop on the head. She was mean, but her heart was big.

The two kids touched their heads in pain and quickly retreated to the side. This woman is someone you don't want to mess with.

"Haha, you're still young, so for now, just focus on improving your strength," Shinku said with a kind face. He liked both boys—they were talented, capable, and given time, they would become the mainstays of Konoha.

"Midfield defense is the strongest—who's going?" Kawakaze kept his focus on the personnel arrangements, unaffected by the lighthearted banter.

"I'll go." Sakumo took a sip of sake and volunteered to take on the hard task.

"Good, be careful," Kawakaze replied. He preferred that Sakumo handle the center since he could assess the situation well and provide solid support for a retreat if needed.

The center of the line wasn't the main target this time. Kawakaze and Tsunade were the main offensive force, aiming to fight their way in from the flanks.

"Then I'll leave the other side to Duy," Kawakaze assigned.

"No problem." Duy grinned and gave a thumbs-up, not even waiting to finish chewing the meat in his mouth.

"I'll just stay home and wait for your good news," Shinku Yūhi added, taking a sip of sake. His Genjutsu wasn't particularly suited for large-scale warfare.

"Go home after the war and hold your child," Kawakaze said, raising his cup. Everyone joined in for a drink.

"We all have kids to hold, but when are you going to have one?" Shinku teased, looking at Kawakaze. Over time, their friendship had loosened Shinku's usual serious demeanor enough for him to joke around.

"Yes, Sensei, when are you going to give me a little brother or sister?"

"Yes, yes!"

The two brats chimed in again, their earlier head pain forgotten. Nawaki snuck a glance at Tsunade, then shifted a little further away as he noticed a blush creeping across her face.

"What are you two meddling kids up to? Are you going to raise the baby after it's born?" Tsunade snapped, her face flushed, firing back at the two boys.

"I'll raise it up, I'll raise it up! It's my own nephew—blood is thicker than water," Nawaki declared loudly, only to wilt again under Tsunade's glare.

"It's good to have a child for him to keep Kakashi company," Sakumo added unexpectedly, his calm tone surprising Tsunade. Is this what they call a parent pushing for grandkids?

"After we get married, we can have two more," Kawakaze said shamelessly, slipping his arm around Tsunade's shoulders. "What do you think?"

"Let's talk about it after we get married!" Tsunade panicked, pushing his hand away. The shy gesture she made in that moment caused everyone in the room to burst into laughter.

...

After everyone had eaten and drunk their fill, they all left. The two little kids took the leftovers and left as well, never to return, leaving only Kawakaze and Tsunade in the house.

"Is your brother rushing us to have kids?"

Tsunade sat on the bed, gazing at Kawakaze, who was still sitting cross-legged in front of the low table. Her tone carried a hint of uncertainty.

"What do you think?" Kawakaze smiled mischievously, surprised that Tsunade was still bothered by the topic.

"I don't want to deal with you." Tsunade rolled her eyes, exuding the charm of a married woman.

"By the way, let me ask you something." Kawakaze licked his lips and moved to sit beside her, though he made no advances. He wasn't sure if the two kids would suddenly return.

"Go ahead." Tsunade had a feeling it wouldn't be a serious question. Though slightly annoyed, she was still willing to listen.

"Why aren't you pregnant?"

It was the first time Kawakaze brought it up, though he had thought about it before. He hadn't taken any precautions, and at times, he wondered if his status as a Transmigrator had affected his fertility.

"I've taken care of it." Tsunade blushed. She always found the idea of being pregnant before marriage a little odd. She had no trouble taking medicine.

"That's good, that's good." Kawakaze patted his chest, as if relieved of a huge burden.

"What's with you?" Tsunade asked impatiently, not understanding Kawakaze's concern.

"Haha, nothing."

"Then can you control whether you have a boy or a girl?" Kawakaze looked at her with hopeful eyes, and she immediately rolled her eyes.

"No."

"Then can you have twins?"

"No."

"Then can you—"

"No."

"Where do you get all these questions?"

Unable to hold back anymore, Tsunade kicked Kawakaze off the bed with a swift kick.

Pop.

Kawakaze landed on the floor, still laughing.

At that moment, Minato and Nawaki happened to push open the door and enter.

Minato, entering first, immediately noticed Kawakaze sitting on the floor. He glanced at the sky and backed out quickly. "It's a nice day today."

"What's nice about it? It's going to rain soon," Nawaki grumbled, trying to squeeze back inside.

Minato grabbed his arm and pulled him back. "Nawaki, being too curious will only get you hurt."

Tsunade gave Kawakaze a look and chuckled as he sat there dazed.

After a while, Tsunade stepped out, and the two little brats crept back in from their hiding spot.

"What did you two see just now?"

"We didn't see anything," they answered firmly, shaking their heads.

Kawakaze nodded in satisfaction. They're quick learners and know better. Teachable.
