Now that the fire tornado had taken full form, Toshiro no longer needed to channel chakra to sustain the large-scale combination ninjutsu. With the oil already spewed out by Shiromari, the fiery whirlwind would continue on its own. His only task was to ensure it stayed confined to the Eight-Tails.

"Dealing with the Eight-Tails this time feels a lot easier compared to the Nine-Tails," he mused.

Even Shiromari was feeling emboldened, watching the fiery storm rage in the distance. For the first time, it felt like it had reached the pinnacle of what a summoned beast could achieve. "Even the toads of Mount Myoboku or the snakes of Ryuchi Cave—some of the strongest summons—wouldn't reach this level against the full power of the Eight-Tails?" Shiromari wondered with pride.

Toshiro, however, remained level-headed. "Last time, the Nine-Tails was under someone else's control—had it been in full command of itself, things wouldn't have been that simple. As for the Eight-Tails now... it's facing us with its own will."

Last time, the Nine-Tails were being controlled by Obito, who had to split his focus to handle the Fourth Hokage. Obito wasn't able to use the Nine-Tails to its full potential.

"Don't get overconfident! Even with this kind of attack, the Eight-Tails is not going to go down!" Toshiro warned.

The Eight-Tails and Nine-Tails were in a league of their own. Just with its tails, the Eight-Tails had once stopped the tailed beast bomb from the Ten-Tails. Despite how powerful his current attack was, Toshiro wasn't entirely confident it could bring down such a resilient opponent.

"What? This level of combined ninjutsu... even a true Sage would struggle to withstand it! And the Eight-Tails..."

"These tailed beasts, especially the Eight-Tails and Nine-Tails, are not so easily defeated," Toshiro explained when he saw Shiromari's disbelief. He didn't elaborate further, but his tone was enough to make the point clear.

"It can't take the Eight-Tails down completely, but the intense heat should at least make it suffer a bit!" Toshiro remarked, watching the roaring flame tornado.

The searing radiation was something even a tailed beast's chakra-infused body couldn't fully withstand, especially with the prolonged exposure to such high temperatures.

"I understand," Shiromari responded.

"Hot! Hot! Hot!" the Eight-Tails bellowed, writhing in agony.

Just as Toshiro predicted, in less than three minutes, the blazing tornado consumed all the oil, and with nothing left to fuel it, the flames died out.

As the fire faded, a piercing howl echoed across the battlefield.

"I smell... takoyaki!" a voice cut in.

"And a hint of grilled steak!"

Akimichi Choza, with his large frame and acute sense of smell for food, sniffed the air. His stomach growled loudly, signaling his hunger.

Choza indeed felt a pang of hunger, the perfect timing for his usual late-night snack.

"..."

At this critical moment, Nara Shikaku couldn't help but be at a loss for words. Even though he knew Choza's nature, the timing was hard to ignore.

In fact, the entire camp had caught the savory scent carried by the night breeze.

"Choza... if you're craving a midnight snack, let's wait until this is over," Yamanaka Inoichi chimed in, attempting to comfort Choza before shifting his gaze to Shikaku. His expression made the unspoken urgency clear.

Shikaku nodded. "It shouldn't be much longer now."

Uchiha Toshiro's strength had exceeded all expectations. Not long ago, Shikaku had been worried that Toshiro might struggle against the combined might of A and Killer Bee and had considered sending a signal for retreat.

Unexpectedly, they were now discussing dinner, with Choza's throat visibly twitching as he swallowed at the thought.

Shikaku found himself wondering—could Choza's stomach truly handle tailed beast cuisine?

"It looks like... the outer layer is nearly charred," Toshiro commented, gazing at the distant Eight-Tails, whose once fleshy exterior had turned into something resembling roasted charcoal. The aroma in the air confirmed it.

Turning to the Shiromari beneath him, he mused, 'If Shiromari consumed a portion of the Eight-Tails, could it absorb part of its chakra, like the legendary Gold and Silver Brothers?'

"I'm feeling rested now. Let's get ready for the next move."

The fact that the Eight-Tails was still able to howl in agony meant it wasn't down for the count yet. The fight wasn't over, and they needed to prepare for the next round.

Rumble! Rumble! Rumble!

To his surprise, the Eight-tails, its surface now resembling blackened charcoal, didn't charge at Toshiro as expected. Instead, it lumbered heavily toward a small lake nearby.

"Is it trying to cool off?"

Watching the scorched creature, Toshiro glanced up at the dark clouds slowly gathering in the sky, feeling at a loss for words.

Turning into a char-grilled octopus wasn't enough—now it wanted to be an electric octopus soup pot?

Reaching the small lake, which served as one of Land of Fire's water sources, the Eight-tails paid no mind to any potential attacks from its opponent.

Splash!

A loud crash echoed as the Eight-tails submerged itself into the water.

The Eight-tails took a leap and plunged its massive body into the small lake, though the lake wasn't nearly large enough to fully submerge it.

All it wanted now was a place to cool off; nothing else mattered.

"What a shame this lake isn't deep enough to even cover me. If only this were the ocean!"

The Eight-tails watched as water splashed around, realizing the lake barely reached a third of its height. Still, there was little it could do but accept its predicament.

"You Uchiha bastard, I'll kill you this time!" it bellowed.

"And you, lizard! You're not getting off easy either!"

With its entire body charred black—save for its head—the Eight-tails glared furiously at Toshiro and Shiromari, who stood in the distance, not attacking. Its anger boiled over, undeterred by the situation.

The ordeal the Eight-tails endured this time had been the most severe injury it had suffered in many years. Even when it faced the likes of the Third Raikage or Hashirama Senju, despite being defeated and imprisoned, the pain had never reached this level.

This time, it truly felt as if it were on the verge of being incinerated. If that fire tornado had persisted a little longer, it wasn't sure it could have withstood the relentless heat.

"..."

As it attempted to cool itself by manipulating the water to pour over its charred body, all while continuing to spit out threats, Toshiro and Shiromari exchanged a glance, both looking at the Eight-tails with a mixture of disbelief and pity.

Their attention then shifted to the dark clouds gathering ominously above.

Even the boastful Eight-tails, who had miraculously not lost all sense after being charred, felt the danger looming and looked up at the sky. Yet all it could see were dark clouds gathering overhead—'nothing seemed out of the ordinary'.

"Damn it!" the Eight-tails cursed, soon realizing the peril it was in. Lightning crackled in the sky, and in an instant, it understood the grave mistake it had made by staying in the water.

Without a moment's hesitation, the Eight-tails leaped out of the lake with the force of a wild animal, desperate to escape the danger. It quickly wrapped itself in its tails, bracing for what was to come.

"Earth Release: Super Rock Iron Cannon!"

What made the situation even more devastating for the Eight-tails was that just as it leaped out of the water, preparing to defend itself, a massive boulder—larger than a house—crashed down onto it.

The impact sent the Eight-tails hurtling back into the lake.

"Kirin!"

A blinding flash of lightning streaked down from the sky, striking with immense power. The Eight-tails, barely able to wrap itself in defense, took the full force of Toshiro's Kirin attack. Worse still, it was now submerged in the middle of the lake, amplifying the damage.

"Roar!"

A pained, guttural howl echoed across the battlefield. Even with its resilient body, the Eight-tails had endured too many relentless attacks from Toshiro and Shiromari, and its strength was finally beginning to wane.

The last strike, Kirin, had truly driven home the meaning of unbearable pain for the Eight-tails. It was an overwhelming mix of agony, both sharp and deep.

"Tsk, tsk," Toshiro muttered, "The vitality of these tailed beasts is something else."

He looked down at the Eight-tails, now sprawled in the lake like a lump of defeated sludge, its massive tentacle-like tails sluggishly twitching. Even after enduring the relentless barrage from both him and Shiromari, the Eight-tails still clung to consciousness. Its resilience was nothing short of astonishing.

"Genjutsu · Sharingan"

Though the beast remained conscious, it was clear its mental state had deteriorated. Toshiro didn't even need to rely on his advanced Mangekyō Sharingan. The simple activation of his three-tomoe Sharingan was enough to plunge the Eight-tails into a deep, uncontrollable slumber.

With the Eight-tails no longer able to maintain its form and B slipping into unconsciousness, the massive tailed beast began to rapidly shrink. In its place, B's figure floated motionless in the water.

"It's finally over!" Toshiro exhaled, feeling a sense of relief.

The battle had been far more arduous than he had expected. He glanced down at B's still figure in the lake from his vantage point on Shiromari's head.

"I should be wrap this up soon."

Looking at the nearly lifeless figure below, Toshiro felt a long-standing doubt of his own resolve at last. He had pushed himself to the limit, but it seemed the battle had ended in his favor.

"Well then, I've done my part, Lord Toshiro. I'll take my leave now," Shiromari said, visibly pleased after the intense fight. The beast, now feeling accomplished, basked in the feeling of having reached the peak of what any summoned creature could hope for.

"Hmmm, you've done well. Thank you for your hard work," Toshiro replied, acknowledging his companion's efforts with a nod of gratitude.

Without external assistance, Toshiro would have had no other options to counter a tailed beast's attack except by activating his Sage Mode or using his Mangekyō Sharingan.

However, he deliberately chose not to use these abilities. Partly, it was because battling without relying on such powers was more satisfying. But more importantly, he wanted to test the results of his relentless training over the past 16 years.

Since the age of four, his daily practice had steadily increased his strength, and the progress had not disappointed him.

Bang!

A gentle breeze blew as a puff of white smoke dissipated, leaving only Toshiro standing, shirtless and victorious.

"Maybe I can kill him off completely, to avoid trouble in the future?" he muttered to himself.
