Naruto : The ultimate Troublemaker

Chapter 124: Redemption of Sasuke

The year 62, a few months after the joint attack by Kumo and Suna, was marked by palpable tensions in the Hidden Leaf Village. Night was falling on Konoha, but the agitation did not subside. Sasuke Uchiha, consumed by his desires for revenge, stood on the brink of a decision that would seal his destiny.

Sasuke faced Naruto at the foot of the imposing statues of Madara and Hashirama. The air was charged with chakra, and the sparks of their jutsus tore through the night.

— "Do you really think you can bring me back?" Sasuke shouted, his Chidori crackling in his hand.

— "I won't let you go, Sasuke!" Naruto replied, a Rasengan ready to be unleashed.

The two attacks collided in a titanic explosion, sending water and rock fragments flying in all directions.

Not far away, Shikai Nara, alerted by Sakura, ran at incredible speed. His face was grave.

— "Sasuke... you can't do this. Not like this," he murmured to himself.

As Sasuke and Naruto exchanged their final decisive blow, Shikai arrived just in time to intercept the confrontation. He used a shadow manipulation technique to immobilize the two shinobis.

— "That's enough!" he shouted, his voice resonating through the valley.

Naruto, breathless, struggled weakly.

— "Shikai! Let me finish this!"

— "You're injured, Naruto. Go back to the village. I'll take care of Sasuke."

Naruto hesitated for a moment, but the authority in Shikai's voice left no room for discussion.

— "Reason with him, please, Sensei," he said finally before disappearing in a flash of lightning, exhausted.

Shikai turned to Sasuke, his expression cold and calculating.

— "Sasuke, you've lost your mind. Abandoning Konoha for Orochimaru? Do you think that's the solution?"

— "It's none of your business, Shikai. Get out of my way."

Sasuke tried to break free from the shadows that held him, but Shikai's power surpassed his own.

— "You want to kill Itachi, don't you?" Shikai said calmly.

Sasuke's gaze darkened.

— "So what?"

— "I want the same thing. I hate Itachi as much as you do. But trust me, joining Orochimaru won't bring you anything."

Sasuke remained silent, but Shikai sensed that he had captured his attention.

— "Listen to me. I'll help you. We'll hunt Itachi together. With my skills and your potential, we'll defeat him. You don't need to stoop to following that pathetic being, Orochimaru."

Sasuke thought, his face remaining impassive, but his eyes betrayed an inner conflict.

— "Why would you do that?" he asked in a sharp tone.

— "Because, just like you, I can't let the past haunt me. But there's a nobler way to avenge your clan. Instead of joining this madman, you'll become a lab rat. Trust me, I've already lived through it."

After a long silence, Sasuke finally nodded.

— "Alright. But if you..."

— "You won't have to wonder," Shikai replied with a slight smile.

With Shikai's help, perfecting his art, Sasuke eventually faced Itachi years later. Their battle was fierce, but in the end, Sasuke triumphed. Yet, as his brother collapsed, the truth came to light.

Itachi had actually acted to protect Konoha, eliminating the Uchiha clan to prevent a civil war. He had borne the burden of Sasuke's hatred to preserve the village and maintain a semblance of peace.

Shikai's words resonated like a thunderclap in Sasuke's mind.

— "All this... for Konoha? For these corrupt leaders?" Sasuke murmured, tears streaming down his cheeks, and he had awakened the Mangekyō Sharingan.

When Itachi drew his last breath, Sasuke was left alone with an unbearable truth.

Back in Konoha, Sasuke was a changed man. His revenge against Itachi was accomplished, but a new hatred burned within him. He no longer saw Konoha as a sanctuary, but as a place corrupted by the high-ranking leaders.

With Shikai's help, who had performed an operation to graft his brother's eyes onto him, he quickly obtained a new power much stronger than the previous one.

With meticulous precision, he tracked down and killed Danzō, the first responsible for manipulating his brother.

— "Everything you did to protect this village was for your own survival. You sacrificed innocents to maintain your power."

The battle was brutal, but Danzō could not match Sasuke's icy rage.

Then it was the turn of Hiruzen Sarutobi and the two elders. Sasuke confronted them during a summit meeting.

Before they could react, Sasuke coldly eliminated them, using his Susano'o to burn them under a wave of ravenous black flames.

After fulfilling his vendetta, Sasuke remained in Konoha, making no attempt to flee. The villagers, terrified, watched the Uchiha walk straight towards the police office. He was covered in blood, his face impassive.

Kakashi already had a kunai at his throat, but Sasuke said he had no intention of resisting.

He presented himself to the jonins on guard.

— "I've eliminated those who were corrupting this village. I'm here to answer for my actions. Do what you have to do."

Shikai, who had observed the scene from a distance, approached.

— "Sasuke..."

Sasuke raised his eyes to him.

— "You were right, Shikai. But that doesn't change anything. I acted according to my own justice."

Shikai remained silent, respecting Sasuke's decision.

In the days that followed, the village descended into chaos. Without a Hokage, without elders to guide the way, Konoha had to rebuild itself.

Sasuke was judged, but many recognized the truth in his actions. Although sentenced to prison, his legacy remained a subject of debate: was he a hero, or a criminal? Shikai, to spare him from death, revealed the secret missions that Danzo and Hiruzen had ordered him to carry out. And in the end, the new Hokage, Shikaku, ordered his imprisonment for life.

In the year 66, in his cell, Sasuke meditated, his face calm but his heart tormented.

— "Itachi... I tried to repair your mistakes. But maybe I was wrong too. I was so obsessed with revenge that, just like you, I failed to save my only friend." he murmured with a sigh, thinking of Naruto.
