Naruto: The Medical God

Chapter 37: Chapter 37: Scroll of Seals

"Everyone! Hold him down!"

The clones nodded in unison and charged Mizuki from every angle. They leapt at his limbs, grabbing his arms and legs while others tackled his torso, struggling to pin him in place. Mizuki thrashed violently, but the sheer number of clones managed to restrict his movements, even if only temporarily.

"Oi, Shin!" Naruto shouted, glancing over his shoulder. "Now it's your turn! Use that kunai jutsu thing against him now that he's restricted!"

Shin's jaw tightened as he clutched the Scroll of Seals. His face twisted in frustration as he clicked his tongue. "Sorry, Naruto…" His voice wavered slightly, filled with regret. "I-I've finished them… I don't have any kunai left…"

Naruto froze, his expression morphing into shock. "What?! No kunai?!" He gestured wildly at the pinned Mizuki. "And how do we bring this tiger man down now—"

A sudden, ear-splitting roar cut him off. Mizuki's chakra flared explosively, shattering the hold of Naruto's clones and sending them flying in every direction.

Naruto and Shin shielded their faces as the shockwave ripped through the clearing. Mizuki's roar echoed through the forest as his body began to swell, his muscles bulging grotesquely. His claws grew longer and sharper, his striped fur bristling with raw energy.

Mizuki's voice was guttural, almost unrecognizable. "You think you can stop me?!" His glowing, feral eyes locked onto the two boys. "I'll kill you both!"

Shin's heart raced as he stared at the monstrous Mizuki, his legs rooted to the ground. "He's… he's getting even stronger," he muttered, his voice barely audible.

Naruto gritted his teeth, trying to muster his usual bravado, but the fear in his eyes betrayed him. "Shit, Shin! What do we do now? I'm out of ideas!"

Mizuki let out another deafening roar that reverberated through the forest, his glowing tiger-like eyes narrowing on Naruto. With an animalistic scream, he lunged forward, claws extended, aiming to tear Naruto apart.

"Shit!" Naruto thought, his instincts kicking into overdrive. Without thinking, he summoned a Shadow Clone right beside him. "Naruto Evasion!" he shouted.

The clone grabbed Naruto by the collar and hurled him into the air with a powerful throw, just as Mizuki's claws tore through the space where Naruto had been standing.

Mizuki's momentum carried him forward, and with a thunderous crash, he slammed into the tree behind Naruto. Bark exploded outward from the impact, splinters flying in all directions as the force of his crash echoed like an explosion.

The clone that had thrown Naruto vanished in a puff of smoke.

Naruto landed on a nearby tree branch, his heart pounding in his chest.

"I'll fucking kill you!!!" Mizuki bellowed, his voice filled with rage.

The monstrous man punched the tree he had crashed into, his immense strength splitting it at its base. With a groan, the massive tree toppled over, crashing to the ground with a resounding thud.

Naruto's eyes widened as he leapt to another branch, keeping his distance. "Fuck! Just how strong is he?!" he shouted, glancing toward Shin, who was still frozen in place. "Shin, do you have any ideas yet?"

Shin's breathing quickened as he forced himself to think. His mind raced, replaying every technique and strategy he could recall, but nothing seemed to measure up to the monster Mizuki had become. Then, like a lightning strike, an idea hit him.

"Naruto!" Shin shouted, his voice steady despite the chaos. "Hold Mizuki for a minute! I'll search for something in the Scroll of Seals!"

He dropped to one knee on the sturdy branch he was standing on and unfurled the massive scroll. Its ancient parchment shimmered faintly in the moonlight, countless techniques scrawled across its surface. His eyes darted frantically over the text, searching for something—anything—that could give them a chance.

Naruto grinned, giving Shin a thumbs-up despite the dire situation. "Don't worry, Shin! I'll give you all the time you need!"

Naruto turned his attention back to Mizuki, who was snarling like a cornered animal, his wild eyes locking onto him. "You want me, tiger man? Come and get me!" Naruto yelled, leaping to a lower branch to taunt Mizuki.

Mizuki roared in rage, his claws tearing through another tree as he charged. Naruto quickly created more Shadow Clones, scattering them around to confuse and stall the rampaging Mizuki. The clones launched themselves at Mizuki with reckless abandon, forcing him to stop and swipe at them, his feral growls echoing with every strike.

Meanwhile, Shin's hands trembled slightly as he turned the scroll's pages. Each jutsu seemed either too advanced or too situational. Come on… there has to be something here… he thought, his eyes narrowing as he skimmed through the intricate writings. His heart sank with every moment wasted, but he pressed on, refusing to give in to despair.

"Any time now, Shin!" Naruto called out, his voice strained as he dodged another of Mizuki's brutal swipes. His clones were disappearing rapidly, and Mizuki's overwhelming strength was beginning to take its toll.

Shin clenched his teeth, his focus sharpening. "I just need one minute," he muttered to himself, flipping another section of the scroll.

And then he saw it. A technique scrawled in bold ink, surrounded by warnings and seals of caution. Shin's eyes widened as he read the description. This could work… or it could kill me...

He hesitated for a moment, his mind weighing the risks. But one look at Naruto, who was still fighting tooth and nail to buy him time, hardened his resolve. It's worth the risk.

"Found something!" Shin shouted, his voice filled with newfound determination. "Just hold him a little longer, Naruto!"

Naruto smirked, ducking under another swing from Mizuki. "No problem, Shin! Take your time!" he said, despite the beads of sweat forming on his brow.

Shin stood, leaving the Scroll of Seals unfurled on the branch beneath him. His hands clenched into fists, then relaxed as he prepared himself. He took a deep breath, his gaze locking onto Mizuki. His heart pounded, but there was no room for hesitation now. "Let's hope this works…" he muttered under his breath, determination blazing in his eyes.

Shin began forming the hand signs with precise movements, his brow furrowed in concentration. "Tiger… Ram… Rat… Horse… Boar… Hare…" he muttered under his breath, his fingers weaving through each sign seamlessly.

Just as he completed the final sign, Shin's voice rose with determination, "Spirit Transformation Juts—"

But before he could finish, a familiar hand shot out and grabbed his, freezing his movements. The sudden interruption startled Shin, and his head snapped up in shock. His wide eyes met the warm, proud gaze of the person who had stopped him.

"You did good, Shin... now let your father deal with the rest..."

To be continued...
