Naruto: The legend of Kiba

Chapter 183: Arguing

Chapter 183 Arguing

"Uh... this, Yukina, we were

wrong, so please don't be angry." Kiba and Hirohiko held two umbrellas,

one black and one white, following behind Yukina step-by-step.

The downpour seemed relentless,

rain splashing from the sky.

Yukina walked hurriedly in the

rain, her umbrella creaking. Although her face was expressionless, the way she

held the umbrella and her hurried steps showed she was very angry.

Being excluded by Kiba and

Hirohiko had made her very angry.

Despite Kiba's apologies, she

ignored them and walked straight ahead.

Seeing Yukina ignore him, Kiba

looked at Hirohiko. The corner of Kiba's mouth twitched, while Hirohiko's eyes

wandered, his poker face becoming unnatural.

Kiba turned slightly, sighed, and

said, "You were injured and recuperating at home. That's why we didn't

tell you. I thought you needed to recover..."

"Snapped!"

Yukina's footsteps stopped

abruptly, splashing water as she turned around. Her jet-black hair flicked out

in an arc under the umbrella.

Seeing Yukina stop, Kiba and

Hirohiko quickly halted.

With her hair slowly falling,

Yukina's pretty face was covered with frost. "Then, if I hadn't found out,

how long would you have kept it from me? How long would you have kept me

out?"

Seeing Yukina's appearance, Kiba

quickly raised his hands. "We know we were wrong. How can we make you

forgive us? We'll agree to anything."

Seeing Kiba's sincere apology,

Yukina turned her pretty face slightly. "Anything?"

"Hmm! We'll agree to

anything," Kiba said firmly.

"Then..." Yukina looked

around. They were already in the village. Due to the rain, there were very few

pedestrians on the street, and those present were in a hurry, hardly noticing

them.

"Invite me to eat

meatballs!" Yukina pointed to the Konoha meatball shop nearby.

"Don't you want to go to the

barbecue restaurant?" Hirohiko suddenly asked, his face tense and almost

sweating.

Konoha Yakiniku and Konoha Maruko

were very close.

As soon as Hirohiko spoke, Yukina

and Kiba glanced at him. Yukina said, "Kiba likes to eat meat. Wouldn't

eating barbecue make him happy? How would that be a punishment?"

Kiba could only smile wryly and

said, "Well, the meatball shop is fine. Captain Morino took me there once.

The taste is good."

Hearing Kiba's words, Yukina

swayed her pretty face slightly, snorted coldly, and walked into the meatball

shop.

Kiba patted Hirohiko's shoulder as

if to comfort him, then followed Yukina. Hirohiko hesitated for a moment, then

followed as well.

Inside the meatball shop, Yukina

looked around. There were four or five tables occupied, with villagers seeking

shelter from the rain, drinking tea, and chatting. There were more people than

usual due to the rain.

The meatball shop was one of

Konoha's best businesses, with seven or eight tables. Yukina picked an empty

table, followed by Kiba and Hirohiko.

After sitting down, Yukina

ordered, "Twenty skewers of meatballs, three bowls of red bean soup."

Kiba, about to sit, smiled wryly.

Her order immediately drew

attention. Seeing Yukina's face, the villagers began to whisper.

"Isn't that Yukina?"

"Yes, it's Miss Yukina!"

"She looks upset."

Then they saw Kiba sitting

opposite Yukina and Hirohiko beside him. Instantly, their eyes focused on Kiba.

"It's the traitor's

son!"

"Did he offend Miss

Yukina?"

"Why did the Third Hokage put

them on the same team? How could noble Miss Yukina be with the traitor's

son?"

"And I heard they're

Kushina-sama's disciples."

"Let Kushina-sama teach this

traitor's son? It's fine for Yukina and Hirohiko, but what's his

qualification?"

Disgusted eyes focused on Kiba,

but he didn't pay attention. Yukina and Hirohiko frowned, wanting to say

something.

But Kiba shook his head.

"It's okay."

At this moment, the proprietress

of the meatball shop approached, putting down the twenty skewers of meatballs

and three bowls of red bean soup Yukina ordered. She smiled and said,

"Enjoy your meal."

She also smiled at Kiba, startling

him slightly. She subtly shielded him from the disgusted eyes.

"Thank you," Kiba said

unconsciously.

The proprietress's smile was

charming. "One day, everyone will understand you. Master Zenshu praises

you highly. I believe you'll become a great ninja."

Without waiting for Kiba's

response, she left to greet another guest.

Her words left Kiba slightly

surprised.

Sure enough, the proprietress is interested in

Captain Morino... Perhaps they have something going on!

Yukina and Hirohiko watched the

proprietress leave. Yukina then turned to Kiba.

Kiba was taken aback. "What's

wrong?"

"Tell me... what happened

with you and Kushina-sensei." Yukina asked seriously.

"Tell you, will you forgive

us?" Kiba asked. Clearly, Yukina's anger hadn't dissipated.

"Tell me, and I will forgive

you, but you must tell me the truth!" Yukina insisted.

"It's not something to

hide..."

Kiba then narrated the events.

...

"After defeating Yeyuebi, I

was seriously injured, but I didn't kill him. He's the most powerful ninja I've

ever encountered. We can only be considered tied. I was on the verge of a coma,

and he was also seriously injured and unconscious. Then, a group of Iwagakure

ninjas arrived. Just as they were about to take Yeyuebi and Kushina-sensei,

Minato-sensei arrived and rescued us, capturing their leader and Yeyuebi,"

Kiba explained.

Of course, he omitted Kushina's

tailed beast transformation, summarizing it as a battle between her and

Yeyuebi.

"It was really Minato-sensei

who saved you?" Yukina's face was slightly pale. The battle with Yeyuebi

was full of twists and dangers. She feared losing Kiba and Kushina.

"Yes. Without Minato-sensei,

the consequences would have been disastrous. We wouldn't have captured Yeyuebi

and their leader," Kiba nodded.

As he spoke, Kiba took a sip of

red bean soup and picked up a meatball skewer. If not for the surrounding

disgusted eyes, he would have cast his own disgust. The proprietress subtly

shielded him from these eyes.

"Then we must thank

Minato-sensei!" Yukina said, frowning at the eyes cast on Kiba.

"En," Kiba nodded.

"Let's go to

Minato-sensei!" Yukina stood up as soon as Kiba finished speaking.

"But... the meatballs haven't

been finished yet..." Kiba looked at the plate, feeling a bit reluctant.

"Miss Ryuu, we'll take these

meatballs to go, please," Yukina said, looking at Kiba, a faint smile

flashing across her lips.

Glutton...

The proprietress responded and

walked over.

...

Five minutes later, Kiba walked

out of the meatball shop, cheeks puffed and lips biting. Yukina walked beside

him, and Hirohiko followed with his head slightly down.

"Did you find anything?"

Yukina asked Kiba blankly.

"Mmm-mmm!" Kiba tried to

respond, his mouth full of meatballs.

Earlier, the proprietress found

the packing boxes in the store were used up. Reluctant to part with the

meatballs, Kiba gulped down the remaining ones in one go.

At this moment, Hirohiko's voice

came from behind Kiba. "Is it over?"

The two looked back, seeing

Hirohiko slowly raising his head, sweating profusely, with an expression of

"I'm acting! I'm acting! Definitely acting!"

Yukina and Kiba raised their

foreheads together.

Hirohiko... the worst thing he is good at is lying!
