Hiruzen leaned back, intrigued. "A request? Please, sit. Is something troubling you?"

Kenichi chuckled, shaking his head. "Nothing like that. In fact, I'm here to discuss an expansion plan."

Hiruzen's curiosity deepened. "Oh? Expansion plan?"

Kenichi's eyes gleamed with ambition. "Yes. I've realized that my ramen shop in Konoha has reached its peak potential. If I want to grow my business, I need to expand beyond the village. I want to take my ramen to the Land of Fire."

Hiruzen nodded in approval. "That is quite the ambition, Kenichi. Spreading Konoha's food culture across the Land of Fire, hmm?"

Kenichi became serious. "I'd like to request an escort mission for my travels."

Hiruzen tapped his fingers on the desk. "An escort mission? I assume you're planning to travel across various cities to conduct market research before expanding?"

Kenichi nodded. "That's right. I want to personally visit the major cities in the Land of Fire, study the market, identify business opportunities, and establish connections."

The Hokage considered this carefully. Kenichi's logic was sound. Traveling the Land of Fire alone was dangerous, even for a trained ninja, let alone a civilian—albeit one with decent chakra control.

"It is wise to have protection," Hiruzen agreed, reaching for a mission request form.

With quick, efficient strokes, he began drafting the request.

"I will authorize a C-rank escort mission," he declared. "Since your travels will be within the Land of Fire, the likelihood of encountering enemy ninja is low. However, bandits, rogue shinobi, and mercenaries could still pose a threat. For that reason, I will assign you a competent escort."

Kenichi smirked. "Thank you, Hokage-sama. You're very thorough."

Hiruzen chuckled. "Comes with the job."

He stamped the request with his official Hokage seal and handed it to Kenichi.

"Take this to the mission assignment desk. You'll be assigned a ninja to accompany you by tomorrow."

Kenichi bowed slightly. "I appreciate it. Oh, one more thing."

"Hmm?"

Kenichi reached into his sleeve and pulled out a membership card, placing it on Hiruzen's desk.

"A membership card?" Hiruzen raised a brow.

"Consider it a gift," Kenichi grinned. "VIP status at my shop. Free ramen, anytime you like."

Hiruzen chuckled, shaking his head. "You truly are a businessman, Kenichi."

Kenichi laughed. "Gotta keep my loyal customers happy."

With that, he turned and left, his mind already racing with plans for the journey ahead.

The Next Day – Konoha's Main Gate

Standing at the village entrance, Kenichi adjusted his travel pack, wondering who would be assigned as his escort.

"Yo! Kenichi!"

A familiar voice rang out.

Kenichi turned and grinned in surprise.

"Sakuya?!"

Standing before him was Hatake Sakuya, the sharp-eyed, white-haired ninja he had befriended.

"I didn't expect you to take the mission!" Kenichi laughed.
