Asahi's words were like a sharp sword piercing through Soma's heart. Soma had always deceived others and, more tragically, himself.

But now, with the truth exposed, he could no longer lie to anyone, not even to himself. He felt a wave of sadness wash over him.

Strictly speaking, Soma wasn't an evil god. He was simply a god who loved brewing wine.

In the original work, after Liliruca broke free from the control of his divine wine, Soma still transferred her to Hestia, showing that he wasn't truly bad. He's just a god who made excuses and wasn't good at leading.

Asahi asked, curious about Soma's next move now that he had come to his senses.

"Next? I don't plan on staying in the mortal world anymore. As exciting as it is compared to the divine realm, I can't abandon my passion for wine. Even if I create another Familia, I'll probably mismanage it just the same.

"In that case, I it's better for me to return to the divine realm. Perhaps that's the best choice for both me and everyone else!"

Soma admitted, shaking his head. He had decided that it was time to leave the mortal realm. In fact, some gods had already returned to the divine realm. There are gods like Zeus and Hera, who were forced to return after their Familias were annihilated.

There were also gods who, after their defeats in battle, were sent back involuntarily, or those who had become disillusioned, especially when all their Familia members had perished. Soma's case was different from Zeus and Hera, though.

Zeus and Hera had been banished after their entire familias were wiped out, unable to bear the shame of using their divine power.

Gods do have feelings for their Familia, and while some gods remain detached, many develop strong emotional bonds with their mortal followers.

Gods like Loki, for instance, had grown deeply attached to her Familia.

After learning about the New World, she remained committed to their well-being, unwilling to be separated from them. She wasn't like Freya, who discarded her Familia's members once they ceased to amuse her.

Freya only cared about fresh souls. And once she tired of them, she would let them fend for themselves.

"That's a wise choice. Before you leave, though, you should clean up the mess your Familia has made. With your divine power, you should be able to handle it." Asahi said, and with that, he turned to leave.

He had come to Soma's familia to cause trouble because he found them unpleasant, and now it was Soma's turn to act.

As for Liliruca, she would have to pay the price for her actions. Her hands were stained with the blood of innocents, and she would bear that weight for the rest of her life. It was likely that she would spend her remaining days in prison.

While she would lose her freedom, it was better than being manipulated by other adventurers and losing her life.

No matter what, Asahi had no intention of intervening on Liliruca's behalf. The main cast did have their share of issues, and Liliruca was certainly one of the biggest.

After Asahi left, the next morning brought shocking news to Orario: Soma, the god of the Soma Familia, had used his divine power without permission. He had used it to compel the remaining members of his Familia to confess to their dark deeds.

The confessions were detailed one by one, leaving Orario's other gods and adventurers who were watching in shock.

The Soma Familia had caused many injuries and even deaths. It wasn't a trivial matter. Even though they hadn't directly turned on each other, they had lured monsters with bait, resulting in the deaths of many adventurers.

"Soma, what exactly are you trying to do? Why are you using your divine power to make your Familia's members confess? If that's the case, maybe you won't need to be sent back to the divine realm this time!"

The guild leader, Ouranos, suggested that the matter could be discussed further. After all, Soma's use of divine power to right the wrongs his Familia had committed could be seen as an act of justice, and perhaps exceptions could be made to allow him to remain in the mortal realm.

"There's no need. I'm returning to the divine realm of my own will after using my power. There's no point in staying here any longer. Even if I were to form a new familia, I doubt it would end well in the end."

Soma said calmly. "By the way, please handle the rest as you see fit. I know many members of my Familia are irredeemable, but some were coerced into it. Though they've committed crimes too, they still deserve some leniency."

"If possible, I hope you can deal with them more gently, as I hold a great deal of responsibility for all this!" Soma added. "I'll sell all of my stored divine wine, and the money will be used to compensate the families of the victims."

After Soma finished speaking, Soma didn't wait for a response and took the initiative to return to the divine realm.

"How touching. Soma finally made such a choice!"

Ouranos remarked, moved by Soma's decision. Other gods attending the meeting also shared similar sentiments.

" Now that Soma is gone, we need to talk about his adventurers. None of them are innocent. Even if some were forced into it, that doesn't excuse their actions," Another god pointed out.

"Agreed. Those adventurers can be dealt with more leniently, but we can't simply ignore their wrongdoings!"

The other god also spoke up.

Ouranos then suggested, "Very well. For those adventurers who were under control, they will become guild adventurers. We will use divine power to impose restrictions on them."

"They will work for the guild and assist other adventurers. If any of them engage in harmful activities, they will be executed immediately."

"Once they leave their assigned dungeons, the guild will take full control, and depending on their crimes, they will serve different lengths of sentences until they are released!"

"As for those who willingly plotted against other adventurers, they will be executed on the spot. Does everyone agree?"

The gods nodded in agreement, acknowledging that this was the fairest course of action.

Loki added, leaving after giving her approval.
