Naruto: If Sasuke Awakens Entry System

Chapter 37: Chapter 37: Three Years Later, Reunion

The Land of Wind.

A team of Rain Village ninjas hurried towards the Hidden Sand Village. Ostensibly, they were there to participate in the Chunin Exams hosted by the Sand Village, but their true mission was to gather intelligence on the Jinchuriki.

Hydrangea frowned, "Ogawa, you're lagging behind again!"

"Ogawa" smiled faintly. In reality, Ogawa was Sasuke in disguise, infiltrating the Rain Village team to expedite his search for Itachi.

The team pressed on. Sasuke glanced at Hydrangea. She had short purple hair styled in a horn bun and was known for her extreme personality.

As they walked, Hydrangea declared, "Listen up, everyone. The five great nations never take us small countries seriously, but one day, the 'God' and the 'Angel' will make the Land of Rain strong and end all wars..."

Her words were stiff, yet the Rain ninjas were invigorated, like they had been injected with adrenaline.

"For the Land of Rain, we swear to complete the mission!"

Sasuke remained calm. An Akatsuki member calling themselves a "god" and an "angel"—how arrogant! Yet, Akatsuki's brainwashing was effective, making these young ninjas fearless.

Hydrangea frowned again, "Ogawa, why aren't you shouting?"

The Rain ninjas glared at Sasuke. He reluctantly raised his arm, "Oh, swear to complete the mission."

Satisfied with Sasuke's compliance, Hydrangea nodded, "Let's go, and show those big nations the strength of our small country's ninjas!"

Just then, whoosh, whoosh, whoosh—Sakura and her team sped past them. Sasuke watched Sakura's retreating figure. It's been a long time, Sakura...

Almost simultaneously, Sakura seemed to sense something and turned back, but she didn't see the familiar figure she remembered.

The Rain ninjas reacted, exclaiming, "So fast, it's... Konoha ninjas!"

Hydrangea was furious, "Nonsense, those big nation ninjas aren't so great. Let's go, surpass those Konoha ninjas!"

The chase began. Unfortunately, Hydrangea didn't know the true strength of Sakura and her team. Even if she did, her personality would still drive her to fight, regardless of the odds.

Soon, they reached the reception desk of the Sand Village. Hydrangea was drenched in sweat, and the other Rain ninjas were worse off, sitting on the ground. Meanwhile, Sakura and her team were chatting and laughing, seemingly unfazed.

Hydrangea clenched her fists in anger, "Damn it, how is this possible!"

She noticed Sasuke's calm demeanor and asked, "Ogawa, aren't you tired?"

Sasuke sighed. What a troublesome person! He clutched his chest dramatically, "Wow, it's so uncomfortable, I... I can't breathe..."

Hydrangea panicked, "Ogawa, what's wrong with you?"

The other Rain ninjas were equally concerned. Sakura noticed the commotion and came over to help. After a quick check, she said, "He's fine, just overexerted from the run..."

Hydrangea sighed in relief. Sakura felt a familiar presence from Sasuke.

"Have we met somewhere before?"

Sasuke admired her sharp intuition. Suddenly, Hydrangea pulled Sasuke aside, glaring at Sakura.

"Hmph, don't try any tricks. We won't reveal any information about the Land of Rain. Let's go, Konoha ninja!"

Sakura, not getting the answer she sought, left with lingering doubts. Sasuke sighed. Sorry, it's not time to reunite yet...

Seeing this, Hydrangea slapped Sasuke on the back of his head.

"Snap out of it! Are Konoha female ninjas that beautiful? Although they are indeed pretty, our Rain Village ninjas aren't bad either!"

Sasuke smirked slightly, finding Hydrangea increasingly annoying.

Hydrangea bit her lip, "Damn it, I actually accepted help from a big nation ninja. Just thinking about it makes me angry!"

Sasuke shook his head. This child was too deeply influenced by Akatsuki. I'm afraid there's no hope...

Later, Hydrangea bent down, "Ogawa, it's my fault you couldn't breathe. I'm sorry!"

Sasuke narrowed his eyes, seeing her care for her comrades. Perhaps there's still hope for her.

The next day, the Chunin Exams began. Like the Chunin Exams in Konoha three years ago, the exam was divided into three rounds: the first written exam, the second scroll battle, and the third individual battle.

Soon, the first written exam ended. Sasuke and Hydrangea passed without any issues. The same was true for the Seven-Tails Jinchuriki, Fu. Since the written exam was held in different rooms, Sasuke didn't encounter Fu.

In the evening, Sasuke and his group passed by the candidates' restaurant. Hydrangea drooled at the sight of chicken, duck, fish, and meat.

"Damn it, these big nations feast every day, while our small country struggles to eat..."

Sasuke wasn't surprised and sat down to eat.

Hydrangea was furious, "Don't eat! Even though our Rain Village is weak, we can't... lose our dignity!"

"I'd rather starve than eat big nation food. You too, don't eat!"

She took out the hard rations she brought and bit into them fiercely. They had to be fierce because the rations were as hard as stone!

The Rain ninjas watched other candidates feast.

"Wow, that chicken leg smells amazing..."

"Look, it's braised pork!"

"Oh my god, unlimited rice, how extravagant."

Hydrangea snapped, "Don't look, they're all gone. Ogawa, hurry up and catch up..."

Sasuke rubbed his temples and spoke for the first time in a while, "No, I won't be a deserter!"

Hydrangea frowned, "Deserter, what do you mean?"

Sasuke smirked, "I want to stay and fight, I want to... eat my way through the Sand Village!"

The Rain ninjas were stunned. Hydrangea was shocked. What, Ogawa... is he treating me like a fool?

The Rain ninjas came to their senses and said in unison, "Captain Hydrangea, we want to fight with Ogawa, we want to eat our way through the Sand Village!"

With that, they rushed to the table, crying and eating.

"Roar, don't underestimate the appetite of small country ninjas!"

Hydrangea was taken aback, realizing she was wrong. These people chose to set aside their pride to prevent the Rain Village from being looked down upon.

What an awakening!

Hydrangea stood in awe and then resolutely joined the feast. Baji, Baji—Hydrangea devoured the meat, tears streaming down her face.

"It's so delicious, is this the strength of a great nation?"

"Wuwuwu, when will the people of the Rain Village be able to eat meat every day..."

Seeing this, Sasuke couldn't help but smile. She's a kind-hearted child.

Suddenly, a fight broke out among the candidates for some reason. Bang, bang, bang! Tables fell, and food flew everywhere. In the blink of an eye, the conflict spread to Sasuke's side.

Hydrangea was angry.

"Damn, wasting food is unforgivable... hiccup."

Unfortunately, she was too full to stand up. At that moment, the Seven-Tails Jinchuriki, Fu, burst through the window, raising her hands.

"Everyone, be my friend!"

Her simple request left everyone confused. Moments ago, they were fighting fiercely, but now they had no energy left.

Someone shouted, "Tsk, boring, let's go..."

Soon, all the candidates left, leaving only Sasuke and Hydrangea in the restaurant.

Fu smiled awkwardly.

"Ah, is my way of making friends wrong? But it works in the village..."

Sasuke narrowed his eyes, sensing her strength.

Suddenly, Fu saw Sasuke, jumped over, and held his hand.

"Hey, can you be my friend?"

Sasuke's heart stirred. Looking at Fu's bright and sunny smile, he couldn't help but think of an old friend...
