Chapter 160: Chapter 158: Heaven-Sealing Mark

Chapter 158: Heaven-Sealing Mark

Moo—

Seeing that Baishi was unharmed, the Dream Tapir let out another roar, raising its massive front paw and attempting to stomp him into the ground.

As the enormous paw descended from the sky, Baishi showed no fear. With a thought, his wind wings unfurled, and in the blink of an eye, he shot upward like a cannonball.

Bang!

A dull collision reverberated through the air.

The Dream Tapir's paw suddenly halted midair, then recoiled. The entire beast was sent flying backward, flipping onto its back.

"Heh."

Hovering in the air, Baishi let out a cold chuckle. He quickly formed hand seals and executed the technique Dust Release: Detachment of the Primitive World Technique.

Upon seeing the cubic barrier in Baishi's hand, the Dream Tapir's eyes filled with terror. It tried to flip over and flee, but it was too late.

With a gentle push, Baishi sent the cubic barrier flying. In an instant, it expanded and engulfed the Dream Tapir.

Moo—

The Dream Tapir's desperate roar was the last sound it made. A flash of white light followed, and the massive creature disintegrated into particles, scattering throughout the space.

Having entered this alternate dimension, Baishi had no use for the Dream Tapir. Its existence was merely a means to an end.

Since the creature no longer held value, eliminating it was the logical step.

Why not tame it?

Baishi saw no point in keeping such an easily subdued summon around.

Clearing his mind, Baishi ascended into the sky, carefully surveying his surroundings.

Unlike the lush and prosperous Mount Myōboku, this dimension was "cramped" and desolate, resembling a barren wasteland.

How did the Dream Tapir even survive here?

Murmuring to himself, Baishi activated his Spatiotemporal Sense, carefully analyzing the dimension's structure.

To utilize this space for his purposes, he needed to fully understand its connection to the shinobi world. Only then could he sever its ties and transform it into a spatial ring.

---

Three days passed in the blink of an eye.

During this time, Baishi explored the dimension, gradually piecing together its layout and identifying its connection to the shinobi world.

If the shinobi world were likened to a large balloon, this dimension would be a soap bubble attached to its surface. The connection point was where the two made contact.

Typically, there are two ways to access such alternate dimensions:

1. Reverse Summoning Technique: Fast and straightforward, it allows a summoning beast to bring a ninja into its domain.

2. Manual Entry: Locate the connection point in the shinobi world and traverse the spacetime passage properly.

For instance, Mount Myōboku could be accessed via summoning or by navigating the correct pathway through its connection point.

Now, Baishi's goal was to sever this dimension's link to the shinobi world and seal it. Once sealed, he would establish a Flying Thunder God: Guiding Lightning-like spatial technique to access it.

This technique would function like a storage system: activating the seal would tear open a rift to store or retrieve items.

Standing atop a mountain, Baishi sensed the delicate spatial fluctuations around him, his expression brimming with confidence.

With his mastery of sealing techniques far surpassing the average ninja, creating a seal to sever the connection between two dimensions wasn't an insurmountable task.

Still, while he exuded confidence, Baishi remained cautious about sealing the dimension to prevent potential issues, such as losing access to the alternate space.

Although his Spatiotemporal Sense allowed him to detect Flying Thunder God markers in dimensions closely tied to the shinobi world, the marker might become inaccessible if the connection was severed entirely.

Losing access to the space would be inconvenient, but losing himself would be catastrophic.

---

Over the following month, Baishi juggled his ongoing evolution with developing a suitable sealing technique, leaving little time for rest.

---

One Month Later

Noon

Baishi set down his calligraphy brush and gazed at the scrolls on his desk, exhaling deeply.

"Finally done," he murmured.

He stood, ready to proceed with the next step, but dizziness struck him without warning.

Clang—

Baishi slumped back into his seat, massaging his temples with a wry smile.

"I don't think I worked this hard even when I was in school..."

The past month had been a grueling slog of sleepless nights and relentless focus, often to the detriment of his own physical well-being.

"This won't do," he muttered. "The next step isn't going to be any easier. I need to recover first."

Patience would pay off in the end. Delaying the final step slightly to ensure optimal performance was a wise choice. It also gave him an opportunity to double-check the scrolls for any potential errors.

---

Seven Days Later

Everything was in place.

Baishi gathered his tools, focused his mind, and activated the Flying Thunder God Technique, teleporting back to the alternate dimension.

Once again atop the mountain peak, Baishi retrieved the sealing scroll from his inventory. He unrolled it, revealing five massive scrolls, each as thick as a leg.

These were the fruits of his labor over the past month.

Taking a deep breath, Baishi swiftly formed hand seals and executed Wood Release: Wood Clone Technique.

Four wooden clones emerged from his shoulders.

"You know the plan," Baishi said, nodding at the clones. "Get moving."

The clones silently picked up the scrolls and darted off in four different directions.

Moments later, a voice echoed in Baishi's mind: "In position."

One by one, the other clones reported their readiness. Once all four confirmed, Baishi issued the command: "Begin."

Unrolling the central scroll, Baishi rapidly formed hand seals, activating the intricate seals inscribed within.

As he poured chakra into the scroll, a dense network of sealing patterns spread outward, enveloping a hundred-meter radius around him.

With his Spatiotemporal Sense, Baishi keenly observed the changes at the connection point beneath his feet.

The surrounding spatial fluctuations grew increasingly volatile, as if the dimension were straining against an unseen tether.

Meanwhile, four towering beams of light erupted in the distance, spreading outward like mushroom caps before merging into a translucent barrier.

On the barrier's surface, bold characters written in sealing script formed the words: Seal the Heavens.

This technique, Heaven-Sealing Mark, was Baishi's original creation. Its sole purpose was to seal spacetime.

Baishi's aim was to use this seal to permanently isolate the alternate dimension.
