Naruto: All Genders are reversed except for me

Chapter 35: Chapter 35

Naruto slammed two large banknotes onto the desk in front of Sasuke's seat.

No one, not even for a moment, had expected such a turn of events.

Not only was Sasuke left dumbfounded for a while, but even Ino, Sakura, and the other boys were staring blankly.

Everyone had thought that Naruto would boldly confess to Sasuke, emboldened by his victory. Who could have imagined this?

Sasuke was the first to react. Seeing that Naruto was simply returning the money in front of everyone, she secretly let out a sigh of relief.

"Hmph."

Sasuke lightly snorted and took back the 100 silver taels that belonged to her. She then picked up the remaining 100 and shoved it back into Naruto's hand. "Only 100 taels belong to me."

"What? Sasuke... actually accepted?"

"What's going on? Why is it like this?"

"Naruto, you're going too far!"

Before Naruto could respond, Ino, Sakura, and the other boys immediately shouted.

Seeing that Sasuke was insistent, Naruto took the extra 100 taels and shoved it back into his pocket.

After leaving Sasuke's desk, Naruto walked with an air of disdain, glaring at the group of defeated challengers. He smirked and said, "A bunch of losers still dare to come out and embarrass themselves?"

"You... what did you say?!"

Ino clenched her fists and immediately grabbed Shikamaru, who was sleepily half-awake, pulling him up and snarling, "Hasn't Shikamaru made his move yet?"

The misfortune had arrived, and Shikamaru didn't even have time to protest.

"Yes, once Shikamaru makes his move, he'll leave you completely defeated!" Sakura added, in agreement.

Seeing Shikamaru roll his eyes in apparent frustration, Naruto laughed.

"Heh... looks like your helper isn't too interested in this. I wonder if it's because your bond isn't strong enough, or if Shikamaru's supposed chess skills are just for show?"

Naruto didn't give anyone a chance to argue. After speaking, he plopped down in his seat, looking like he was about to fall asleep.

At this moment, even though Shikamaru felt annoyed, he couldn't help but let his sleepiness subside slightly after hearing Naruto's remark.

The Nara, Akimichi, and Yamanaka families were famous in Konoha, with deep bonds tracing back to the previous generation.

The younger generation of Shikamaru, Ino, and Choji had grown up together, influenced by their parents and thus quite familiar with one another.

Naruto's words weren't meant to deliberately stir up trouble between the three families, but rather, he was using the close relationship between the Ino-Shika-Cho trio and challenging Shikamaru's chess skills to provoke him.

Although Shikamaru was known for his strategic foresight, he was only about seven or eight years old at this point, so it wasn't like he was a genius just yet.

Sure enough, under Naruto's subtle provocation, Shikamaru's expression subtly shifted.

"Shikamaru, he's looking down on you!"

"I believe without a doubt that Shikamaru is the best at chess in the whole school," Choji said, setting down his chips and agreeing with determination.

At this moment, almost everyone in the class, except for Sasuke, had their eyes fixed on Shikamaru.

"Though it's troublesome..."

Shikamaru shrugged helplessly and then declared in front of everyone, "Since that's the case, Naruto, my Ino-Shika-Cho family accepts your challenge."

"Nice, Shikamaru, well done! After school, you have to defeat him utterly!" Hearing that Shikamaru had not only agreed but had also publicly announced it in front of the entire class, Ino felt relieved.

"Naruto, Shikamaru has agreed. Are you brave enough to accept the challenge?"

After getting Shikamaru's agreement, Ino turned confidently to the still-silent Naruto.

At this point, all eyes in the room were once again on Naruto.

Everyone knew about Shikamaru's chess prowess, but Naruto and his group had no idea what they were about to face.

Seeing the tension building in the room, Naruto stood up and surveyed the crowd. His gaze ultimately fell on Ino, who was standing proudly.

"Don't get it wrong. It's not me challenging her; it's her who challenged me."

Once Naruto spoke those words, Ino, Sakura, Choji, and the others froze for a moment.

"Hmph, so what? In the end, you're going to lose terribly."

At these words, Naruto casually took out 1800 silver taels and said, "Fine, let's settle it with a game. If I lose, I'll return all these banknotes to you."

As he spoke, the subtle confidence that leaked from his expression caused Shikamaru to frown slightly.

Seeing the silver taels that had been taken from them earlier being brought out again, Ino, Sakura, and the other boys couldn't help but feel embarrassed.

"Shikamaru, you have a lot of pocket money. For the chess wager after school, consider this a temporary loan from you."

By now, all their pocket money had already been lost to Naruto in five rounds of chess, and they had no choice but to ask Shikamaru for help.

"Are you sure? It's just 1800 silver taels, no big deal," Shikamaru said, confirming once again, seeing how excited Ino was.

"Yeah, I trust your chess skills, Shikamaru."

With that, Shikamaru reluctantly nodded.

"Naruto, see? Shikamaru agreed."

"Okay, I'll be waiting for you after school."

Naruto was feeling quite pleased.

He hadn't expected that, because of Sasuke, this whole plan would go so smoothly.

Just as both sides had reached an agreement, Iruka-sensei walked into the classroom, holding a stack of books.

"Good morning, teacher!"

"Mm, everyone, please sit down," Iruka greeted with a professional smile.

However, when his gaze landed on Naruto, his brow furrowed slightly.

This Naruto was getting more and more out of hand. He used to nap during class, but it was never this obvious.

Now, not only had he fallen asleep, but he was already snoozing before Iruka even started teaching.

Though Iruka was angry, when he remembered the secret mission that the Third Hokage had assigned him last night, he managed to keep his composure.

"Class, today's lesson is..."

Time flew by, and in the blink of an eye, Naruto had been sleeping for almost three full periods.

He had stayed up late the night before, and according to his plan, Naruto should have gotten about four and a half hours of sleep.

But who would have guessed that once he fell asleep, his consciousness would be pulled into the Nine-Tails' lair?

He got caught up in a tug-of-war with the Nine-Tails until the alarm clock went off. After that, he woke up and went straight into training.

So, it was essentially a full day and night without any sleep. Even if he wanted to show respect to Iruka, his body just wouldn't allow it.

Dinglingling...

The bell signaling the end of school rang, and just as Iruka was walking out of the classroom, Naruto was awakened by someone calling his name.

Naruto groggily opened his eyes, about to snap at whoever had woken him up. But when he saw that he was completely surrounded, he froze for a moment, unable to react right away.

"Naruto-oniichan, school's over," Hinata said apologetically.

Seeing it was Hinata who had woken him up, Naruto nodded without saying anything.

"Naruto, it's time to fulfill your promise."

Ino, now wearing a smug grin, waved her hand. Instantly, several windows in the classroom were locked shut, and one of the boys even locked the door from the outside, making sure it was secure.

The setup was clearly meant to prevent Naruto from escaping through the windows.

Naruto, seeing this, couldn't help but laugh as he pulled out a folding shogi board from his canvas bag.

"Is it really necessary to go this far?" Naruto said as he unfolded the board. "It's just a game of shogi, right?"

"Hmph, this is just a precaution," Ino replied.

"Yeah, what if you try to back out and jump out of the window? How are we supposed to find you then?"

The other students around them chimed in, responding to Naruto's words.

At this moment, Shikamaru, the center of attention, finally stood up from his seat. Following behind him were Ino and Choji.

Seeing Shikamaru's confident expression, Naruto couldn't help but smile. "So, how do you want to play? Are we going to play a full game, or are we starting with a finished position?"

At these words, the confidence in Shikamaru's eyes was quickly replaced by a hint of shock.

"You can set up a finished position?"
