Chapter 264: Greatest Robbery Ever—Stealing The Entire Qian Empire
Now that he had successfully created a tier 7 array, Feng Fan set his sights on going one step further—adding the Illusion Dao Law on top of the Fortification Dao Law. Following the same process as before, he seamlessly combined the two into a new resulting Dao law—Mirage Guard.
The White Crow Sect's barrier suddenly cracked open, exploding into a dazzling display of shimmering light. Moments later, it reformed, stronger and more resilient than ever. From the outside, the sect was now completely concealed, appearing as nothing more than an unassuming forest.
However, the barrier was not merely an illusion—it had become a living mirage. Any attack aimed at it would not only be blocked but also met with a retaliatory force, as the illusion itself fought back against intruders.
Almost two days after he started, Feng Fan wiped the sweat from his brow and allowed himself a satisfied smile. "Much better than I expected," he muttered, marveling at his own accomplishment.
After completing the array that would keep them hidden from the Shen Empire's radar, Feng Fan took out the map given to him by Yin Jian.
'Oh, there aren't many qi stone mines inside the Qian Empire. No wonder it's considered a barren land for cultivation. I wonder if the Shen Empire will even bother coming here.'
Even more surprising was the complete lack of high-grade qi stone mines within the Qian Empire.
Instead of flying directly to the nearest mine, Feng Fan summoned the Suppression Relic, enlarging it enough to stand atop. With its speed, he would arrive much faster than traveling on his own.
Within minutes, he reached the first mine. This particular qi stone mine was currently under the White Crow Sect's jurisdiction—a reward granted to the Dao Seeking School after their victory in the Young Generation Competition.
Feng Fan activated his spiritual qi vision, and his sight was instantly flooded with intense light, almost like staring at the sun. Focusing underground, he tried to pinpoint a spiritual qi vein but came up empty-handed. There was nothing of the sort here.
Some qi stone mines formed naturally by absorbing the spiritual qi in the air, while others emerged from spiritual qi veins underground. The former was far more common than the latter.
"Time for you to work, Little Brick. Can you absorb everything here?" Feng Fan muttered, holding the Suppression Relic in his hand.
The Suppression Relic hummed in response, clearly indicating it could. A wide grin spread across Feng Fan's face.
"In that case, there's no need to be polite and leave it for the Shen Empire, is there? Take it all!"
Feng Fan flexed his arm, channeling spiritual qi into it until veins bulged prominently. With a swift motion, he hurled the Suppression Relic toward the qi mine. It shot forward like a hungry wolf spotting prey, penetrating the ground and voraciously absorbing every trace of spiritual qi around it.
The qi stones disintegrated into dust as their energy was drained, and within less than thirty minutes, the entire mine was depleted. The Suppression Relic floated back to Feng Fan's hand, and he looked at it as a mother would gaze at her beloved son.
"Good boy," he said with a satisfied grin. "I should have done this ages ago."
This was just the first of many. Feng Fan pressed onward, clearing mine after mine—even those owned by other sects were not spared.
At one point, a group of elders from a sect within the Qian Empire appeared, fury evident on their faces. The leader, wearing robes marked with a black whale emblem, pointed at him angrily.
"You!" the elder shouted. "What do you think you're doing? Robbing our qi stones?! The Dao Seeking School won't let you off!"
"Oh, really?" Feng Fan turned around with a grin. The moment the elders saw his face, their expressions changed from anger to sheer terror.
"F-F-Feng Fan!" the leading elder stammered.
Feng Fan was a notorious figure within the Qian Empire—renowned not for his talent, but for his ruthless reputation of killing people and destroying sects.
Actually, one could say he was also renowned for his talent for infuriating people.
Despite being in the Spirit Severing realm, the elders didn't dare to provoke the madman standing before them.
"That's me," Feng Fan replied, amusement flickering in his eyes. "Something the problem?"
He entertained the elders while the Suppression Relic continued to wreak havoc within the mine, greedily absorbing every ounce of spiritual qi left.
"N-No problem at all! Continue with what you're doing!" The elder turned around and fled as if escaping from the pest, his face pale and his voice trembling.
The other elders hurriedly followed, and one of them couldn't help but grumble, his eyebrows twitching in frustration. "Elder Fu, are we really just letting him get away with this?"
Elder Fu shot him a glare, as if he were the biggest fool alive. "You want to go back there and provoke that madman?"
The elder gulped, a hint of fear creeping into his expression. "But…"
"Shut up!" Elder Fu snapped, his tone harsh. "We'll report this to the Dao Seeking School. I'm sure they'll seek justice for us. There's no way they'll allow Feng Fan to do whatever he wants in their territory."
What they didn't know was that the Dao Seeking School had far more pressing matters to deal with. After the destruction of the Black Turtle Sect, they couldn't care less about what happened inside the Qian Empire.
Feng Fan waited for the Suppression Relic to finish before moving on to the next location. He couldn't help but marvel at the absurd amount of spiritual qi stored inside it.
"Little Brick, are you a bottomless pit? Where does all this energy go?"
The Suppression Relic hummed in mild annoyance, as if protesting his doubts, and Feng Fan just chuckled in response.
As for the elders from the Killer Whale Sect, they were just one of many who had come to bother Feng Fan while he robbed their qi stone mines clean. Manyl complained, but not a single one dared to make a move against him. Feng Fan didn't spare them a second thought—he just continued doing what he had started, unbothered by their futile protests.
