Chapter 76: Chapter 76
With my door locked by Eris as she followed me into my room, I took a seat on the small couch that was opposite a couple of chairs with a table separating the chairs and couch that was in front of my king-sized bed.
And as Eris naturally walked over and elegantly took a seat in front of me I was able to take in her form as she settled into the seat.
Long luscious blond hair that fell past her waist, she was a somewhat taller than the usual woman at about five-ten probably... And very full-figured with her curvacious form filling out the tight-fitting white dress she wore with no armor at all.
But even as she relaxed to put myself at ease as she leaned her staff/sword agaisnt her chair so it wasn't in her hands. I waited patiently for her to be ready as I idly looked at the blue satin-like blindfold that was over her lack of eyes.
"So. You completed the commission now," Eris spoke softly before she smiled almost mischievously as she spoke. "Oh, Hera is going love and hate that. As for her own pride, she had gone out of her way to get the best Grimoire for the deal after seeing little Materia cured."
She shook her head and continued with that same amused expression across her face. "She was hoping to give the Grimoire to Materia actually if you couldn't be found. But with Alfia's cure... Well, a deal is a deal after all."
And as I plucked Alfia's cure which was within an enchance glass vial, Eris inhaled as she leaned closer to the elixer before she whispered. "Indeed... The magical power and lifeforce within this elixir is beyond anything I have seen before in my life."
I gently handed it over to her with Eris holding the elixer in her hands for a moment as though in thought and then my lips twitched as Eris pulled open her dress slightly to expose the pale expanse of her cleavage so she could slip the thumb-sized glowing vial of elixir into her titty pocket dimension all well-endowed women had.
With the transaction completed, I cleared my throat and spoke more relaxedly. "Well, I am glad that Hera has already got my Grimoire ready. Though I am not so comfortable with the thought of returning to Orario for obvious reasons."
Eris slowly nodded in understanding as she elegantly folded her hands together on her lap. "Yes, I do know what... Though at least you can still grow here in Melen up till at least level four without as much issue. If anything you can grow faster than in Orario as all the monsters here are from the Water City Floors."
Eris then went on to say how she was willing to bring it over to me directly or just deposit it here in my house if I was willing to make a couple more lesser-quality healing elixirs and I agreed after she gave me several large denominations of Valis to pay for the elixirs.
I gave a grunt of agreement and for a moment there was silence before Eris gave a slight of hum before she spoke again. "Materia is rather excited to see you again already... Hmph, the little munchkin ate too large of a dinner to put herself to sleep early and now I can't help but wonder if she will even be able to walk tomorrow."
"Hah, Materia did seem full of life indeed even for a girl so weak of body... So we will just meet you off the port at the end of the day or something after we finish dealing with the monsters?"
I asked, as I did like Materia a good bit. In contrast, Alfia was cold, dangerous, and stoic until she exploded. Materia on the other hand was a vibrant sun of positivity that put people at ease and brought happiness.
Eris at my question gave a slight sound of thinking before she shrugged and answered plainly. "Well, I have seen your ship, and it's more than large enough... So why don't Materia and I come aboard so you two can speak? Otherwise, Materia will drive me up the wall as she will be constantly asking me when you are coming back to shore."
"Well, that should be fine if you are there to keep Materia safe... So yeah if you want to meet us at the port at lets say eight in the morning? That would be a good time for us to go as that will give me enough time to get my Familia in order, and deal with making breakfast and packing lunch."
Eris nodded as obviously planning on waking Materia up at a reasonable hour and then she unfolded her legs before she stood up and I stood up as well as she laid a hand over her heart and said gently. "Then Jake, I wish you a good night. I still have some information I need to collect on the remains of the evil gods I dealt with."
I raised an eyebrow upon hearing that... As I hadn't seen any gods or goddesses be sent back to Tenkai in a pillar of light I asked curiously. "What happened to the evil gods and goddesses?"
Eris lost her genial smile with her looking at me without any expression before she replied calmly. "They suffered the same fate as the masters I dragged here. I drugged their mortal frames with Soma laced with other drugs and poisons to make sure they couldn't flee or even awaken. And I have a compatriot who will be driving a carriage carrying their frames back to Orario where my goddess will send them back to Tenkai as a large event to suppress the unrest within Orario."
'So Hera plans to send a half dozen gods/goddesses back to Tenkai as a warning to the crafting and other families to chill the fuck out huh... Well, that will only work if Zeus's psychopaths don't throw a match into the powder keg that's Orario.' I thought.
But with that Eris clearly done with that conversation turned her back towards me as she grabbed her staff/sword and began walking towards the exit and I followed her to escort her out of my familia's mansion.
