My Power to Ignore Enemy Abilities Lets Me Rule Another World

Chapter 26: This will be an entirely new and grand journey

"There sure are a lot of people gathered here."

Near the riverside campsite, central imperial troops, border patrol guards, and even foreign aid workers were busy preparing for the long journey ahead.

"Can't they just teleport us directly to the destination…?"

Avic glanced at the orderly yet bustling scene around him, muttering his complaint with a resigned tone.

A burly man inspecting the boats overheard him and responded with a chuckle:

"That's not an option. Magical teleportation outside the borders is too susceptible to interference from various factors, making it highly risky. The only ones capable of freely teleporting across the planet are [Abyssal Court]."

[Abyssal Court]—a name well-known throughout the empire and one I was familiar with as well.

Founded by the first deity to govern this planet, the organization, boasting a legion of powerful angels, ruled over the world. Its strength ranked among the greatest across the entire universe.

For the empire to form an alliance with such a force was no small feat.

That said, Avic seemed to harbor a strong dislike for [Abyssal Court], as if he had some unpleasant history with them.

"If I could avoid it, I wouldn't go..."

"Accept it. It's our duty."

"All set! Get on board! May the God of Fate in the Unsolved Cosmos watch over you!"

The burly man took a swig of strong liquor, got up, and returned to the rest area.

I climbed aboard first, with Avic following close behind.

The boat, powered by magic, came equipped with its own mana storage tank. Once the tank was depleted, the operator would need to channel their own mana to keep it moving.

It wasn't a large vessel, only big enough to fit two adults. However, it was sturdy, durable, and equipped with all the basic functionalities, a standard-issue combat boat of the empire.

The imperial plan was to take the water route to Changlong Kingdom first, then continue northward until we reached the northernmost point of Earth—the "Gate of Celestial Prayers."

Avic and I were to depart first, while Savonne would catch up later.

"Alright, let's set off."

"Right now?"

"What else? This kind of mission can't afford any delays."

The soldiers on the shore saluted us in unison, offering words that, though indistinct, were likely well wishes.

As the boat started moving, their figures gradually shrank into tiny black dots, eventually disappearing from sight.

And so, Avic, Savonne, and I embarked on our second expedition together.

Well, it probably wasn't Savonne's second mission.
