Chapter 313: Meeting a disciple of Divine Order sect
"Brother, what are you going to eat after having some money?"
"I wanna eat some white rice. I heard it's tender and could be cooked easily."
"Hahaha, we don't even have enough to eat brown rice. Do you think you can make money eating white rice so easily?"
Everyone started to laugh at the man, which made him slightly embarrassed.
"Hmph," the man hmphed and shook his head to the other side, as if in embarrassment.
"Alright, Alright, don't tease the guy too much," the man who has previously spoken to Aur said with a smile on his face. "We are all going to work to live our lives now, so no need to make it difficult for others."
"You're right, Bruno, we should listen to you."
The others nodded in agreement.
"Hahaha, I will help you guys, and you guys help me. Let's form a team."
"You're right, Bruno."
The group started to laugh with smiles on their faces.
"What about you, then?" Bruno suddenly asked while looking in the direction of Aur.
"Me?" Aur looked at them with a mysterious smile. "I will also work hard to kill."
After saying these, he didn't speak further.
The atmosphere suddenly became awkward.
Bruno shrugged his shoulders and spat out the word "freak."
Then, he didn't pay much attention to Aur; instead, he looked at the only girl in the carriage, who had a cold expression on her face.
Her pale skin, with curvaceous hips and almost perfect eyebrows, told that she was a beauty and a half, although compared to that young miss or even her servant, it was down a notch, but still a beauty for the beggar-like them.
In fact, no matter how ugly or beautiful the woman is, for beggars like them, it would only trigger their hormones.
"Miss, what about you?" Bruno said as gently as possible; however, there was still a lecherous smile on his face.
The others also occasionally glanced at these girls without blinking, their hormones triggered like a teenager's.
"Nothing," the girl said coldly, with deep disdain in her eyes, and closed her eyes.
"If you have anything that needs to be completed, just ask me. I will do it for you," Bruno smiled, unfazed.
If he could have these women as brides, then he would truly be the winner in life. His family was actually quite rich previously; however, due to the bandit raids, the village was slaughtered, and he became a beggar.
In his eyes, he was always superior to these beggars who don't even know their origins.
The girl just nodded her head and looked towards Aur with blinking eyes. As for him, aside from a simple glance, she didn't even look for long, and there was that deep disdain as well.
Bruno also noticed the girl's gaze and looked at Aur, who was slowly resting.
"Hmph," he gritted his teeth and walked towards Aur with hatred in his eyes.
"Hey, you bastard-" just as he was about to pull the collar of his, the carriage suddenly halted, and the guy was sent hurtling to the side.
"Who was that?" Bruno shouted with a ferocious expression.
"We are resting for the time here tonight," the roar of the soldier came from outside, which instantly made him have a smile on his face, changing from the ferocious expression.
"Yes, master," Bruno said with a subservient tone. "Let's go, brothers."
After saying these, he didn't wait long; he went outside.
The other beggars looked at each other and snickered while following him.
Finally, Aur and the only girl were alone in the carriage. For a period of time, there was complete silence.
"So, why did you come to this carriage? What are you thinking about?" The girl spoke at this time, breaking the silence.
Her voice didn't contain coldness as before, but instead, pure curiosity, like a baby's.
"I came here because that miss called me," Aur lightly replied, still closing his eyes.
"Really?" the girl asked, her lips curling into a smile. "I can sense the terrifying presence that you have suppressed, and the mana in the surrounding are sometimes being absorbed by you, so you must be a wizard with a mental space. In any territory, you will go, at least you can have a high-paying job, so why are you here?"
Aur's eyes snapped open, his crimson red pupil fell on this girl.
"Who are you?" his eyes squinted.
"So, my guess was right," the girl chuckled, shaking her head.
"If you don't speak now, then you are dead," Aur said lightly, as if he was speaking the most casual thing, but the girl's back was already soaked in a cold sweat.
The girl looked at Aur with a terrified gaze. Gulping her own saliva, she gathered her courage and then spoke.
"I am a disciple of the Divine Order sect," she hurriedly said, as if afraid that Aur will really kill her at this moment. "I have been sent to investigate that miss who took you in."
"I see, what is your Divine Order sect's job?" Aur suddenly asked with a weird expression.
"The Divine Order sect's goal is only one thing: to punish all those who exploit the common people and kill all those demonic wizards. As long as they aren't all exterminated, then we won't rest," the girl had a proud expression on her face, with arrogance deep in her bones, her attitude firm and resolute.
"Your goal can never be achieved," Aur closed his eyes again, no longer caring about her.
But the girl was not as convenient as these; instead, she was furious.
"How dare you comment on the noble goal of our sect!"
Aur shook his head. "Because that is an unrealistic goal. Humans are fascinating creatures; they have unlimited wants and desires. In this world, the resources are very limited, not to mention the matter of talent, which restricts you for eternity."
"If the people want to achieve their goal, then they will have to learn demonic magic either way to progress further."
