"Hey, how about playing with me?"

Suddenly feeling their shoulders being gripped by an unfamiliar arm, the twin devils slowly turned their heads to look in between them...

A few minutes prior, back In the Clover Kingdom

A peculiar whirlwind began blowing overhead, carrying snowflakes with it up into the air.

Abruptly, it stopped, only to welcome an even stronger gust of wind from north, gathering clouds to cover the brilliant moon and starry night!

Layers of different kinds of clouds entangled with each other, weaving themselves into a dark-colored blanket, blocking off any sources of light, rendering it hopeless to see!

The speed of cloud formation was rare for even summer, let alone under such cold weather!

The wind only intensified its whistling and rampage. The mountain forest trembled under the wrath of the heavens as they moaned while countless thick tree branches succumbed to the blade-like airflow and were blown away in the blink of an eye…

More cloud layers stacked together like a gigantic darkening cotton wool slowly drifting down from the skies. However, it was not soft and fluffy as it exerted a suffocating pressure on the ground!

All the citizens could not help but raise their heads at the sky, feeling overwhelmed by the strange phenomenon.

The children of the church were playing around in the open garden when Recca suddenly stopped. She pointed at the sky and said in a trembling tone.

"H-Hey... that's... look!"

Nash who was still training so he could grow stronger and join the magic knights in the future stopped his training. He raised his head and gazed at the sky.

Not only them but all the villagers and other citizens of the kingdom were staring at the sky with some of them shivering under the sense of oppression.

At that moment, something came out of the clouds.

It was two giant pillars!

BOOM!!

The two pillars hit the ground with a loud bang and caused the ground to tremble beneath them.

When the sky cleared up, only then did the people have a clear view of the entity that had arrived in their kingdom.

"No way!!"

No one knew who but someone fell down on his butt as he shouted in shock.

"Eeeekk!!"

Another one screamed in horror followed by someone saying.

"IT'S A DEMON!!!"

Suddenly, everyone began to panic and scream in terror as they took steps back quickly.

It was a massive Demon, even taller than mountains with four arms, three eyes, two legs, tails, long hair, and spines along their backs. Its horns were thin, long, and pointy. It also had a red line running down its torso and crossed by multiple horizontal lines, as well as markings under two of its eyes that resemble crying.

Shriek!

The Demon raised its head and screamed at the top of its lungs, bursting forth with a large amount of mana.

Its voice reached the capital itself, causing not only Julius but all the magic knights to tremble as a layer of sweat covered their foreheads.

Julius quickly jumped to his feet and flew out of the castle with the help of Marx.

"This is... where did it come from?"

"Shall we evacuate the citizens?" Marx asked worriedly.

"No!" Julius shook his head resolutely and said with a smile. "The Clover Kingdom will never fall until he is here!"

Thud!

The massive Demon took a step forward and charged toward the capital, roaring loudly.

But there was something standing in its path.

Something small and tiny compared to the massive Demon but the momentum he carried was even more fierce than the Demon itself.

Alex was floating in the air, looking at the charging Demon with a calm expression while his hand was resting on the hilt of his sword.

"I-It's... It's the Magic Emperor!"

"That's the Magic Emperor Asta!!"

"We are saved!!"

"Yeah. No one can defeat the Magic Emperor!"

Alex ignored the cheers of the citizens and stared at the Demon as he spoke in an annoyed tone.

"How dare a burly mass of mana cause havoc on my kingdom? What if you have scared my girl? This sin is unforgivable! DIE!!"

He grabbed his sword and pulled it out.

Wong-!

A terrifying amount of chaotic mana burst forth from his body and wrapped around the sword followed by the red lighting as Conqueror Haki entangled around the blade, bringing forth a sense of oppression.

A powerful and mighty sword intent burst out, cutting through the air and ascending to the skies.

"Third Sword: Sky Divider!!"

Alex slowly moved his hand as if stroking a painting brush, bringing his hand from below to upwards.

Whoosh

Bang!

A bright light flashed causing everyone to cover their eyes as a sharp sword slash flew out and penetrated the skies, followed by a soft explosion.

When everyone raised their heads, disbelief was written all over their faces.

All the citizens had their mouths wide open and shock written all over their faces.

They just could not believe that what was happening in front of their eyes was true.

The Demon, the mountain-sized behemoth was still standing on his feet but unlike previously, his massive body was split into two equal parts from the center.

Alex didn't even glance at it and snorted before he looked at Julius and others in the distance.

Julius gazed at the sky and his entire body trembled as he stared at the massive crack in the sky that had divided the clouds into two parts.

It was as if the heaven itself had cracked by the swing of his blade.

Alex ignored their shock and amplified his voice with magic.

"Julius, I am leaving the kingdom in your safe hands. Make sure to protect it in my absence."

He then gazed into the distance in the direction of the Spade Kingdom as a devilish grin found its way on his face.

"It's time to massacre those ugly things!!"

He raised his hand and opened a portal before he jumped into it, leaving the massive body of the dead Demon still standing like a monument.

"What a monster!!" Julius sighed and muttered under his breath.

Back to the present in the Spade Kingdom Castle

"Yo." An ash blond-haired boy smiled at the two.

"..."

"..."

Pfft-!

"HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!" All of a sudden, they burst into laughter.

"Did you sense him, Lilith?!"

"No. He appeared out of nowhere!"

"How interesting!"

"Very interesting!"

"Should we play with him?"

"I think we should!"

Having made their minds up, the two devils switched their attention back to Alex.

Facing the stare of the twins, Alex could no longer suppress the grin trying to crawl its way to the surface.
