"Ah... Hahaha..."

Julius laughed embarrassingly, rubbing his head.

Nacht quickly shared what he had discovered during his time in the Spade Kingdom with everyone.

"So to sum it up, the current rulers of the Spade Kingdom are trying to connect this world to the world of devils. In order to do so, they need arcane stage Dark Magic and World Tree Magic to create something called the tree of Qilphoth."

"Why... Why would they do such a thing!"

Shuddering after hearing Nacht's explanation, Rill was unable to understand why anyone would do something so dangerous as to summon the king of all Devils.

"Who knows." Nacht shrugged his shoulders and replied. "As magic knight captains, you've probably all seen it before. Scumbags who hurt others for no reason other than to satiate their desires. Trash who feel no guilt or remorse as long as they get what they want."

"The Dark Triad are paragons of such vermin. I don't care or even want to understand why they're doing what they're doing. Unjust evil... They're the type I hate the most. As things stand now, I don't have the ability to stop the Dark Triad from opening the gates of the underworld. I know my limits. Therefore..."

Nacht stared at Alex and said seriously.

"I would need the power of the Magic Emperor."

"WHAT!!" Everyone collectively gasped.

"Huh? Me?" Alex pointed at himself and asked.

Ignoring everyone's reaction, Nacht nodded his head and carried on.

"I have heard that the New Magic Emperor is crazy strong and wields Anti-Magic... And now looking at you, I think people are still underestimating you. I cannot fathom your depths at all."

"The Anti-Magic holds the greatest potential when it comes to dealing with devils. So three days from now, on the advent of Qilphoth, we'll storm the Spade Kingdom and burn that damn tree to the ground. This time, it's our turn to strike!"

Nacht declared and asked everyone to prepare themselves.

Alex contemplated the scenario and looked at Yuno. "Yuno, I apologize to you. I plan to train you first but it seems things are more serious than I presume."

Yuno shook his head and replied. "It is alright. I will train myself. After the last fight, I understand in which direction I have to go."

"Good." Alex smiled and glanced at Nacht. "Hey, Vice Captain you go and train Yuno. If my Anti-Magic has the highest potential then Yuno's Star Magic can pose a huge threat to the Devils too."

"Hmm... Star Magic? I have never heard about it." Nacht seemed intrigued and rubbed his chin.

Alex chuckled and said. "Star Magic is one of the special attributes passed down in the House Grinberryall."

"House Grinberryall? Then he is..." Nacht was startled and looked at Yuno in shock.

Alex nodded his head and looked at everyone, deciding to tell the news to all.

"Yuno is actually the Prince of the Spade Kingdom and the rightful heir to the throne. He is the son of the late king who was killed by the Dark Triads. To protect him, the loyal servants of the Grinberryall family brought him to the Clover Kingdom."

"WHAT?!!" Everyone collectively gasped again, this time even more shocked as they never anticipated that Yuno would turn out to be a Royal from the other kingdom.

"Good. Then I will try to train this guy." Nacht agreed to train Yuno after he learned that.

"Alright, everyone. Make your preparations. After three days, we will kill the Dark Triads and prevent them from opening the gate to the underworld." Alex stood up and addressed everyone with a solemn expression. "But just in case, prepare yourself for the worst."

"Yes, Sir!" The Magic Squads Captains saluted and walked out of the room, their expressions a little heavy.

As the room emptied of people, Alex stepped forward, halting Nacht with a sharp gesture before he could whisk Yuno away. Nacht raised a brow in irritation, but Alex's piercing gaze silenced any protests.

"Yuno," Alex began, his voice steady but laced with a somber weight, "there's something I need to say."

Yuno turned, sensing the gravity of the moment. Julius, who had been observing quietly, stiffened. A sudden unease crept over his face, his lips parting slightly as if realizing something dreadful.

Alex placed a firm hand on Yuno's shoulder. His smile held an uncharacteristic mixture of affection and finality. "Yuno, the time has come for both of us to fulfill the promise we made. It's time to take revenge."

Yuno's eyes widened, the shock rippling through him like a sudden gust. "Alex... what do you mean?"

Without hesitation, Alex's hand tightened on Yuno's shoulder. "If I don't make it back, you will carry the torch. You will become the Magic Emperor, no matter what happens."

"ALEX!" Yuno's voice cracked, disbelief flooding every syllable as he reached for his brother.

Alex shook his head firmly, his eyes glinting with both resolve and a deep sadness. "Yuno. No. Listen to me. This isn't up for debate. I've searched for five years. Five long years scouring every corner of this world, every ancient text, every hidden fragment of lore. The entrance to the Underworld is finally within reach—and this... this is my fight. It always has been."

Nacht's usual calm shattered like glass.

"Are you insane?!" His voice echoed across the room, sharp and biting. He stepped forward, his fists clenching. "This isn't a game, Alex! You're talking about walking into the Underworld alone! Against every devil? You'll die!"

"Maybe." Alex's reply was as cold as the edge of a blade. "Or maybe I'll do what should have been done long ago—end this nightmare once and for all."

Julius, who had been silently grappling with the revelation, finally spoke, his tone grave. "Alex, this is madness. Even with your power—no, especially with your power—you can't bear this weight alone. There has to be another way!"

Alex turned to the Wizard King, his expression unwavering. "No, Julius. There isn't. The devils must be annihilated. Completely. If we allow them to continue existing, countless innocent lives will pay the price. I won't let that happen—not while I have the strength to change it."

Yuno's throat tightened as he tried to speak, but the words refused to come. Instead, his trembling hand reached for Alex, his brother. His family. Yet, as he met Alex's unflinching gaze, his resolve shattered, and tears welled in his eyes. Yuno nodded reluctantly, his head dropping as if in surrender to the inevitable.

"Good." Alex's tone softened, a glimmer of warmth breaking through his stoic exterior. He ruffled Yuno's hair briefly, like they were boys again, sharing dreams beneath the stars. "I'll make sure you won't have to carry this burden. I swear it."

With that, he turned on his heel, his presence as resolute and commanding as a force of nature. His footsteps echoed like the tolling of a bell, a stark reminder of the finality of his decision.

Nacht clenched his jaw, his usual pragmatism replaced by a rare display of raw emotion.

"This is reckless," He muttered, more to himself than anyone else. "Damned fool."

Julius looked down, his hands trembling. He knew he couldn't stop Alex; the fire in the young man's soul burned too brightly.

"May the gods protect you," He whispered under his breath.

As the door swung shut behind Alex, the air in the room grew unbearably heavy. Yuno remained frozen in place, staring at where his brother had stood, tears silently streaking his face.

"Come back, Alex," He whispered. "You have to come back."

But deep down, all three of them knew that Alex's mission was a one-way journey—and his path to the Underworld would be drenched in blood, fury, and sacrifice.

Alex walked onto the streets after leaving the Headquarters. He was very excited for the upcoming battle but on the surface, he showcased nothing but calmness.

Many people greeted him excitedly with children even calling him out happily.

Alex smiled and waved his hand as he strode onwards on his way.

Sigh!

Standing in front of a huge window overlooking the rest of the kingdom, a tired sigh escaped from Julius's lips.

'Now that Yami and William are gone, our military strength has taken a major hit. If not for Asta, which is still present, things would have gone out of hand.'

Julius glanced at Alex's retreating back and sighed again.

'It seems you are carrying a huge burden on your shoulder Asta. You have changed the structure of this kingdom. The place that had disappointed me so long, you make it lively with your presence. I wonder if the one filling your shoes later will be able to maintain this peace...'

Alex paid a visit to Mereoleona to meet his daughter. She was an exact copy of her mother but her eye color and potential, she had inherited from her father.

Alex and Mereoleona had named her Leonela which means 'Young lioness.'

He stayed at the Vermillion House for an hour or so, playing with his daughter and chatting about the raid with Mereoleona.

After that, he decided to check up on the Black Bulls.
