Chapter 6: Are You Worthy of Entering My Qin Family?:
At Qin Yan’s command, the Qin family’s warriors moved with precision, dragging ten terrified people from the crowd. Their cries echoed through the air as they struggled and begged for their lives.
“No! Don’t kill me, please don’t kill me!”
“Xinyao, help me! Please save me!”
“Young Master Qin, I’ve never wronged you! Spare my life!”
The warriors ignored their pleas, forcing them to the ground without hesitation. The rest of the Liu family watched in terror, their panic growing as they knelt and begged for mercy.
“Master Qin, please, let us go!”
“We swear we won’t offend you again, Master Qin!”
“Xinyao, beg him! You have to beg Master Qin for mercy!”
“Young Master Qin, I’ll do anything! Just spare my life!”
Qin Yan’s face remained impassive, his gaze cold and devoid of emotion. His silence made the atmosphere even more oppressive.
It was only then that Liu Xinyao realized how serious Qin Yan was. In a panic, she rushed to him, her voice trembling with desperation.
“Qin Yan, stop this! Isn’t this all because you want me to marry you? Fine, I’ll marry you! Just let my family go!”
Her words seemed to breathe new hope into the Liu family. They began to cheer, their pleas turning into entreaties.
“Young Master Qin, Xinyao is willing to marry you! Please show mercy!”
“Yes, today was meant to be your engagement day! Let’s return to that!”
“We swear, Xin Yao will never have any contact with Xiao Fan again!”
But lying on the ground, Xiao Fan roared weakly,”No! Xinyao, no!” He stretched out his hand, trying in vain to reach her, but the distance was too great. All he could do was cry out in frustration, a picture of helpless despair.
The scene resembled the forced separation of a pair of star-crossed lovers.
Liu Xinyao, seeing Xiao Fan’s anguish, felt her own heart ache. Tears streamed down her face as she turned to Qin Yan, her voice choked with emotion.
“Qin Yan, you’ve gotten what you wanted. Please, let my family and Brother Xiao Fan go. I’ll become your woman, starting today.”
Her pitiful tone only deepened Qin Yan’s rage. A fire burned within him as he raised his hand and slapped her hard across the face.
The slap was so powerful that Liu Xinyao staggered and fell to the ground, blood trickling from the corner of her mouth. She looked up at Qin Yan in stunned disbelief.
“Qin Yan, I’ve agreed to marry you. What more do you want from me?”
“You think agreeing to marry me is enough?” Qin Yan’s voice was laced with venom. His cold eyes bore into her.”Do you really think someone like you is worthy of entering my Qin family?”
Liu Xinyao froze, as if struck by lightning.
Her mind went blank.
How could this be possible? She had hidden the truth so well. How did Qin Yan know?
Qin Yan stood tall, his gaze sweeping across the Liu family with a chilling murderous intent.”Let me make this clear—none of you will survive today.”
He sneered.”Don’t blame me for what’s about to happen. If you want to blame someone, blame Liu Xinyao. She slept with Xiao Fan long ago and lied to me about it.
“She even asked my Qin family for resources to support your Liu family. And now, you dare disgrace my Qin family in public? There’s no room for mercy.”
His words were like a thunderclap. The Liu family turned pale as despair washed over them. Many collapsed to the ground, wailing loudly.
Even Liu Zhong, who had maintained his composure until now, was shaken. He stared at Liu Xinyao in disbelief. He had no idea she had gone so far.
If he had known about her relationship with Xiao Fan, he would have apologized to the Qin family and canceled the engagement properly. But now, because of her lies, the entire Liu family was doomed.
Fury erupted within him. He turned to Xiao Fan, his face contorted with rage.”Xiao Fan, you bastard! Are you trying to destroy our entire family?”
Qin Yan, unfazed by the commotion, looked up at the sky and said coldly,”Time’s up. Begin.”
The Qin family’s warriors moved without hesitation, their swords gleaming as they descended upon the chosen ten. Cries of terror filled the air.
“No! Don’t kill me! Please, spare me!”
“I don’t want to die! Somebody save me!”
The warriors paid no attention, executing their orders with brutal efficiency. Each strike was swift and final. Once the first group was dealt with, they dragged out another ten, waiting for the next minute to pass.
Liu Xinyao had lost all her arrogance. Crawling over to Qin Yan, she clung to his legs, sobbing uncontrollably.
“Qin Yan, I’m sorry! It’s all my fault! Please, I beg you, spare my family. I’ll do anything you ask, just don’t kill them!”
Qin Yan looked down at her with disdain and kicked her aside.”You have no right to negotiate with me.”
Liu Xinyao, sprawled on the ground, stared blankly for a moment before breaking into uncontrollable sobs.
She regretted everything now—deeply, profoundly.
She regretted avoiding Qin Yan a year ago by traveling elsewhere under the guise of business. She regretted hiding her relationship with Xiao Fan from him. But most of all, she regretted the foolish spectacle she caused today at the Qin family’s residence. If not for her actions, her family might still have had a chance at survival.
But now? That chance was gone—completely and irrevocably.
As she wallowed in regret, Yan Zhenqiao stirred and groaned. The pain in her shoulder was unbearable as she regained consciousness. Her eyes flew open, and she screamed in rage.
“Ah, Qin Yan, you little beast! How dare you cut off my arm? I’ll break your legs and make Xinyao leave you for good!”
Her furious outburst made Liu Xinyao tremble in fear. She hurriedly knelt by her mother’s side, trying to calm her.”Mom, can you please stop talking? Just stop!”
Turning to Qin Yan, she pleaded anxiously,”Qin Yan, my mother didn’t mean it. Please let her go.”
Yan Zhenqiao’s face twisted with rage. Her voice was sharp and grating as she scolded her daughter.”Why are you begging him? Acting like some pathetic dog! If you don’t put him in his place now, he’ll think he can walk all over us in the future!”
Liu Xinyao closed her eyes in despair, her heart sinking, ‘You’re really my biological mother, aren’t you? Can’t you see what’s happening right now?’
Qin Yan, however, was unfazed. He sneered coldly and kicked Liu Xinyao away. His icy gaze turned to Yan Zhenqiao.”You still dare to threaten me? Fine. Knock out her teeth.”
One of the Qin family’s warriors stepped forward silently.
Without hesitation, he raised his boot, made of hardened ferocious animal hide, and delivered a brutal kick to Yan Zhenqiao’s mouth.
The impact was devastating. Blood sprayed as her lips split open, and several of her teeth shattered and fell to the floor. Yan Zhenqiao let out guttural cries of pain, writhing and rolling on the ground.
Qin Yan approached her slowly, his voice eerily calm.”Yan Zhenqiao, you’ve taught Liu Xinyao plenty of manipulative tricks over the years. Half of today’s disaster is your doing.”
He crouched slightly, his tone growing colder.”And let’s not forget how many of the resources I gave to the Liu family conveniently ended up in your own family’s hands.”
His eyes darkened, and his voice turned sharp.”Come here!”
A group of warriors immediately stepped forward, standing at attention.
“Go and bring me every single member of Yan Zhenqiao’s family,” Qin Yan commanded.”I don’t care where they are—make sure not one is left behind.”
“Yes, young master,” the warriors replied in unison before turning and leaving.
Yan Zhenqiao’s face drained of all color. Pure terror filled her eyes as she began screaming at Qin Yan, her voice shrill and desperate.
But Qin Yan ignored her completely.
Taking out his phone, he dialed Gao Wei. The call connected quickly, and Gao Wei’s deep voice came through.
“Qin Yan, shouldn’t you be dealing with your family affairs at home? Why are you calling me now?”
Qin Yan’s lips curled into a mocking smile.”Gao Wei, you’re such a hypocrite. You strutted around so confidently at the Qin family’s residence, but then you ran away like a coward.”
The taunt made Gao Wei’s temper flare.”Qin Yan, watch your mouth! If you’re not careful, I’ll come back and teach you a lesson myself!”
Qin Yan remained unfazed, his tone dripping with disdain.”What’s the matter, hypocrite? Did I touch a nerve? Fine, come find me. I’m at the Liu family residence right now.”
He added nonchalantly,”Oh, by the way, I’ve nearly wiped out the entire Liu family. And your precious disciple, Xiao Fan? He’s about to be beaten to death.”
