My Bodyguard is my Mate

Myra's tears fell like rain and she didn't try to stop them.

As Leo returned to the group of officers, his friends Derrick, Eric, and Brian teased him about Myra's beauty.

"We had no idea she was so stunning," Derrick said, grinning.

" Indeed, She's more beautiful than Barbara.." Erich whispered.

" Who said it's about beauty ?" Leo asked them

but deep down, he was torn.

He had developed feelings for Myra on the island, but he was already in a relationship with Barbara.

To make matters worse he had lied to her about his true identity and now she was angry with him.

He didn't know if she would ever forgive him again.

Leo took his team to Michael's and Agnes' house, eager to express his gratitude for their help during his and Myra's stay on the island.

As they arrived, Michael and Agnes welcomed them with warm smiles.

" Who are these ?" Agnes asked calling her husband.

" This is my team.." He said with a smile.

" They were able to find me."

" Oh, We're so glad you're safe, Leo," Micheal spoke.

Leo thanked them sincerely, "We couldn't have made it without your help. You provided us with food, shelter, and comfort. We're forever grateful." Spoke Leo.

"Where's Myra? I haven't seen her since…" Leo's expression turned slightly awkward, and he hesitated for a moment before responding.

Just then, the door opened and Myra walked in, looking a bit subdued.

" I am here…," she said, her eyes scanning the room.

Agnes's face lit up with a warm smile as she rushed over to hug Myra.

"Oh, Myra, I'm so glad you're finally going back home." She smiled.

Myra smiled back, looking a bit more relaxed, and thanked Agnes and Michael for their help.

"I don't know what we would have done without you," she said, her voice sincere. Leo watched the exchange, feeling a pang of guilt and uncertainty about his feelings for Myra.

"Alright, everyone, let's get ready to leave. We've taken up enough of Michael and Agnes' time."

Myra, who had been quietly observing the conversation, suddenly spoke up.

"Wait, I want to thank you both again for everything you've done for us,"

she said, her eyes shining with gratitude.

"I promise to come back and visit soon, and I'll make sure to show my appreciation in a better way."

Michael and Agnes smiled, happy to have been able to help, and Agnes replied,

"You're always welcome here, Myra. We'll look forward to seeing you again soon."

As they said their goodbyes and headed out the door, Leo couldn't help but notice the way Myra's eyes sparkled when she smiled, and he felt a flutter in his chest.

He quickly pushed the feeling aside, reminding himself that she didn't want to face him again.

As Leo was lost in thought, staring at Myra, he felt a gentle tug on his hand.

He turned to see Barbara standing beside him, a smile on her face.

She had taken his hand in hers, and was looking up at him with a questioning expression.

"Hey, are you ready to sail back home?" she asked, her voice soft and gentle.

Leo felt a jolt of guilt, realizing that he had been staring at Myra for a moment too long.

He quickly looked away, trying to compose himself.

"Yeah, I'm ready," he replied, trying to sound casual.

Barbara's grip on his hand tightened, and she leaned in close to him.

"I'm glad we're finally going home," she said, her voice barely above a whisper.

"I've missed our life together, and I'm looking forward to getting back to normal."

Leo nodded, feeling a pang of unease. He knew that he had to talk to Barbara about what had happened on the island, but he was afraid of how she would react.

For now, he just smiled and nodded, trying to play it cool.

But as they walked towards the dock, he couldn't help but sneak a glance back at Myra, who was watching them with a mixture of sadness and understanding in her eyes.

Myra also got onto the boat with her father's men and they bid the island people good bye as the boat begun to sail.
