"Yup we got here in time" Karna commented.

"The tower is entirely made out of Ethernano crystals, which means that the council was destroyed, etherion fired and many of our guild members must have gotten injured and according to you our prospective future guild mate Juvia would also have gotten really injured" Cana commented dryly from the side while looking at Karna with emotionless eyes.

Karna hoped that Cana was not able to see the sweat rolling off his face on the other side. But remembering that the mark on his arm will always tell her about his emotion when needed, he sighed but silently cursed in his mind.

'why the hell did I not leave an arrow with Happy or, Lucy, if so this could have been avoided easily.'

As he was contemplating it, he saw 7 bright lights in the sky.

'Gerard must be using this strike to kill Erza and Simon will sacrifice himself to save her. Let's see if I can save him this time.'

"Rise Incursio" Karna declared and immediately the armour formed around him with the wings unfurled ready to take off.

And without wasting any moment, he went straight towards the seven falling attacks and took them on with his armour. His body which was already imprinted with Arcane dragon slayer's magic absorption was bolstered with the addition of the armour which increased the rate of absorption due to already adapting to its physic, all of this combined with his capabilities and level as a wizard made it really easy for him to tank the attack without any problem.

Smoke spread out from where he got hit by the attack, momentarily confusing the others in the battlefield as they were not able to see what stopped the attack. Karna's speed had increased to levels that even a Saint class level wizard Gerard was not able to see him.

A single sweep of his armour's wings removed all the smoke that was covering him and revealed to everyone gaining various kinds of reactions.

"Damn it!" Gerard cursed, knowing that his ambush had failed.

"Karna!" Erza cried in relief.

"So, this is the formidable Fairy Tail's Golden Eye" Simon muttered in relief. He was more than ready to give up his life to save Erza, but not dying makes anyone appreciate the fact that someone prevented their death.

Karna just nodded at Erza and then turned towards Gerard who was floating in the sky, he then soared upwards slowly until he was face to face with Gerard. As he got closer, he saw that Gerard was different, he had some kind of techno type design all throughout his skin that began to spread throughout his body the moment Karna came near him. Karna was also able to feel the energy emitted by Gerard rising up.

Karna immediately activated his Sharingan to his maximum and increased his perception while calculating what happened.

'He was there when I confronted the council last time when I released my full power. Other than the 4 Ishgar gods, Makarov, and Gildarts, currently no one should be able to even match the amount or intensity of my magic right now.

So, this might have spurred him to act with different plans from the cannon. I can sense many more members other than what was in the cannon in the lower floors, but the subtle training I had given to the guild members had made them strong enough to handle them. And the chances of him contacting stronger members are low as the one's in the cannon were bordering S class, not that easy to find.

And then lastly the markings, they have the same colour as the ethernano in the R system structure, and the structure seems bigger than in cannon as well. I had believed that the changes were caused because the world was AU, but now it seems like it was because of my influence.

The power I displayed might have spurred Gerard into increasing the absorption capabilities of the tower to a further height that can support both the resurrection of Zeref and give him enough power to battle in case someone interfered.

But is the increase anything to be worried about?

No

But let's not give him any plot armour.'

"Karna Vermi- "Gerard was not even able to complete the taunt filled greeting before a punch made him crash land into the walls of the tower, breaking more of it.

That didn't stop Karna as he immediately moved towards the crash site and immediately started pummelling Gerard repeatedly while using Black flash as well.

The audience including Simon and Erza were watching it wide eyed and while this was happening, Natsu crashed through the floor and came up.

"Where the hell are you Gerard Bastard, I'm gonna beat you up myself!!"

He declared, but when he saw the condition of the battlefield, even he felt silent.

He was easily able to recognise Karna with the armour and he was also able to see him striking Gerard repeatedly without any mercy. The thing that shocked him was that Gerard was not moving that much. He was alive clearly; his wide unblinking eyes and his screams being shut down in the middle because of the punches to the face paints an even bigger picture filled with pity. And Karna does not seem to be stopping.

By this time, Cana was able to go floor by floor and gather all the allies and heal them so that they never end up in a life-threatening conditions due to lack of medical care. Each one was able to hear the punching strikes as the sound had revibrated throughout the building, making them worried about it very much.

But by the team they reached the top floor, they too saw the glimpses of Karna's punches which he stopped seeing that Gerard was completely filled with swelling by so much that he was almost unrecognisable.

Erza, Simon and Natsu gulped as they had gotten front row seats to the entire thing. While the others were shocked finding out the reason for the punching sounds all this time.
