Morax the Geo Archon: Billionaire in the Chat Group

Chapter 28: I, the Geo Archon Morax with 2.1 Billion Mora, Have Joined a Chat Group [28]

Emilia Is Super Cute: This mission?! What happened to Nana-san?!

Incurable Villain: Tch~~! It's clear something serious is going on. Probably some life-threatening situation on that school island of hers. I told you before—superpowered individuals and committees can never coexist.

Emilia Is Super Cute: I'd love to help, but I've got my hands full on my end. I've died twice in a row trying to sort things out here. Any of you big shots available to take this on?

Incurable Villain: I'll go! Perfect timing—I hate those garbage committees. I'll shove their XX up their noses, smash their teeth, and hang them out to dry!

Sweetheart Angel: Our adorable Nana-girl is in danger! How could a hero like me sit this one out? Count me in! GOGOGO!

Keeper of Contracts: I shall join as well.

After typing his response, Zhongli unhesitatingly tapped the mission acceptance button.

A small message popped up in front of him:

[System Message]

[The current mission is a standard emergency mission. The user's life energy level is too high to enter.]

"Hmm?"

Zhongli paused briefly, his brows furrowing. With one arm folded across his chest and the other hand resting against his chin, he pondered for a few moments.

After several seconds, he calmly severed two of his own fingers.

One bore the power of Geo; the other carried his essence.

He then tapped the mission button again.

This time, the system didn't raise any objections.

The severed fingers on the table disappeared, vanishing without a trace.

A faint distortion of space rippled.

Zhongli's figure emerged in another world.

As with the last emergency mission, the air was heavy with tension the moment he arrived. The distinct smell of gunpowder greeted him.

"Bullets?"

Zhongli frowned slightly. Without lifting a hand, the bullets ricocheting toward him stopped mid-air and fell harmlessly to the ground.

He calmly surveyed his surroundings.

In the center of the chaos knelt a girl with short pink hair tied in twin tails—Nana. Her face was pale, her expression one of utter despair.

At her feet lay the lifeless body of another girl, her chest riddled with bullets. Blood pooled beneath her motionless form.

Surrounding them were a group of soldiers clad in military green coats, all aiming their weapons at Nana and Zhongli.

Leading the soldiers stood a middle-aged man wearing a wide-brimmed military cap. His stern face exuded authority and arrogance.

"Who are you?"

The officer's voice carried a tone of superiority, as though he was utterly unshaken by the sudden intrusion. He glanced briefly at Nana before smirking.

"Judging by the circumstances, I'd guess you're here for this useless failure."

Zhongli didn't respond to the taunt. Instead, he slowly clapped his hands together.

A stone coffin materialized on the ground, radiating a chilling aura as it encased the fallen girl's body.

Breaking another finger from his hand, Zhongli allowed it to fall to the ground.

The severed finger seemed to sink into the earth, disappearing as though consumed by the soil.

"Seriously? Another fight right off the bat? Can't we get something different for a change?"

Behind Zhongli, Accelerator—sporting silver hair and a casual button-up shirt—clicked his tongue in irritation.

To his side, a muscular man with a square jaw and heroic presence offered a cheerful reminder, "Accelerator-boy, don't litter so casually!"

"Tch~~!" Accelerator ignored him, shoving his hands into his pockets as he looked around.

With a smirk, he called out to the officer, "Hey, Mr. Military Middle-Age! That girl over there, her name's Nana, right?"

The officer, Tsuruoka, furrowed his brow under the shadow of his cap. Known for his manipulative strategies, he loathed engaging enemies without intelligence.

Without acknowledging Accelerator's provocation, he adjusted his cap and turned away.

Raising his gloved hand, he waved dismissively at his soldiers.

"Kill them all. Authorization granted for heavy weaponry."

With that, Tsuruoka walked off without a backward glance.

"Tch~~! Underestimating me, huh?"

Accelerator's lips curled into a dangerous grin as he stared down the soldiers aiming their weapons at him.

Bang! Bang! Bang! Bang!

The soldiers opened fire, their faces emotionless as they rained bullets on their targets.

Accelerator, unimpressed, shook his head lazily and tapped his left foot on the ground.

A spiderweb of cracks spread outward from where he stood.

The earth heaved violently, sending dirt and debris flying in all directions. The once-serene park transformed into a scene of utter devastation. Trees toppled, flowerbeds shattered, and stones scattered like shrapnel.

The soldiers, trained but inexperienced against such overwhelming power, froze in shock. They had been taught to handle superpowered individuals, but never had they encountered a force of this magnitude.

Tsuruoka, who had been maintaining a slow and composed demeanor, now dove into a roll to avoid a large chunk of stone hurtling toward him.

"Call for Committee backup! Ignore the surroundings—use heavy artillery immediately!" he shouted, his voice panicked.

Before he could finish, a searing ion beam cut past him, grazing his side and leaving a molten scar in the earth. The beam carved a path across the park, its destructive wake halting only at the far edge before vanishing as abruptly as it appeared.

"Don't run now," Accelerator sneered, his menacing grin growing wider. "I want to have a nice, long chat with you."

A deafening sonic boom followed.

Before Tsuruoka could react, a pale hand grabbed his face with unnatural speed and slammed him into the ground.

BANG!

His body bounced like a ragdoll, crashing into the dirt with bone-shaking force. The impact knocked him unconscious instantly, his vision fading to black.

Meanwhile, the muscular Puri-Puri Prisoner marched forward, unfazed as bullets ricocheted harmlessly off his skin. The soldiers, their fear growing with every step he took, faltered under his flamboyant yet intimidating approach.

"Hey, adorable boys in uniform! Guns and bullets shouldn't be aimed at innocent people. Violence is reserved for the wicked. Let me help you calm down a bit, my darlings! Witness the beauty of my love-filled resolve!"

"Oh, it hurts~! So painful! Oh, my, my~!"

His voice, somehow more unsettling than his actions, sent the remaining soldiers into a panicked retreat. Dropping their weapons, they scrambled away into the night, unable to withstand the absurdity of the situation.

Within minutes, the park was silent again.

The scene of destruction was grim—a wasteland of rubble and debris, with only a few unconscious soldiers scattered about.

Accelerator casually dragged the limp body of Tsuruoka by one finger, bringing him to where Zhongli stood.

"So, what do we do with this guy? And is that girl over there"—he gestured toward Nana, who remained kneeling in despair—"the Mind Reader from the chat group?"

Zhongli shook his head gently.

"No."

"Her name should be Nana."

"Nana…"

Her name hung in the air, carrying the weight of her broken spirit.
