Chapter 18: I, the Geo Archon Morax with 2.1 Billion Mora, Have Joined a Chat Group [18]
With a single step, Accelerator used his vector manipulation to launch himself high into the air.
Hundreds of Honkai Beasts immediately leapt toward him, blotting out the sky as they surged forward like an unrelenting tide.
"Tch!"
Spitting toward the ground, Accelerator extended a hand skyward, lazily tracing a circle in the air.
A massive vortex of wind erupted, transforming into a devastating tornado. The razor-sharp winds howled as they shredded through everything in their path, leaving destruction in their wake.
The battle with the powerless Kamijou Touma had pushed Accelerator's computational abilities and combat skills to a new level. Techniques he hadn't even considered before now flowed freely in his mind.
In Academy City, he rarely had the opportunity to fully test the extent of his abilities. Today, however, was different.
The vectors swirling through the tornado were under his absolute control, guided by his unparalleled computational power. The storm ravaged the battlefield, tearing apart everything in its path.
Standing at the eye of the tornado, Accelerator appeared as if he had grown black, tempestuous wings.
With his hands in his pockets, he gazed down at the monsters below with cold disdain.
Wherever the tornado passed, its winds became blades that pulverized anything they touched—monsters and buildings alike reduced to dust.
"Man, you're seriously strong!"
Reimu looked up at Accelerator, her expression somewhere between amazement and exasperation.
"But I'm not going to lose to you!" she declared. "I'm the shrine maiden of Gensokyo, the representative of the eight million gods, and the eternal protector of Hakurei Shrine—Reimu Hakurei!"
"These points are all mine!"
Feeling her competitive spirit ignite for the first time in a while, Reimu descended to the ground.
The massive yin-yang orbs orbiting her began to shrink as she clasped her glowing gohei, bowing twice toward the sky. Dozens of talismans, each inscribed with intricate markings, swirled around her, dancing through the air.
Mysterious, incomprehensible characters appeared, surrounding her in an ethereal aura.
[Divine Art: Eightfold Dragon Slaying Formation!]
The moment her voice rang out, an invisible force radiated outward from Reimu's body. With each passing second, the radius of the energy doubled, growing exponentially.
The Honkai Beasts charging toward her seemed to sense the danger and began retreating frantically, as if seized by fear.
But they were too slow.
Without sound or light, the monsters caught within the radius of the formation disappeared in an instant, reduced to nothing but stardust.
Both Accelerator and Reimu had unleashed some of their most powerful abilities.
Within their respective ranges, the battlefield was cleared entirely, not a single monster left standing.
And yet, waves of Honkai Beasts and Dead Apostles continued to surge forward, their numbers seemingly endless. In the distant corners of the city, new Honkai Beasts were spawning from thin air, while surviving Dead Apostles steadily grew stronger.
Fu Hua observed the relentless tide and shook her head slightly.
Her movements remained methodical and efficient. Each attack eliminated a monster with precision, conserving her energy and strength.
Unlike Reimu and Accelerator, Fu Hua understood the importance of pacing when battling Honkai. Maintaining stamina was second nature to her.
She even had the capacity to assess the performance of her companions.
The combat abilities of this chat group's members are remarkable. Although this situation has exceeded my expectations, it's not necessarily bad.
Accelerator and Reimu's power could rival S-rank Valkyries. They might even hold their own against a Herrscher.
This multiverse chat group… it might truly be a lifeline for civilization to overcome the Honkai.
A faint smile graced Fu Hua's lips as she turned her gaze toward the edge of the battlefield, where three figures stood.
There was Subaru, with his peculiar time-rewinding ability; Bell, seemingly blessed by divine favor; and Zhongli, the enigmatic [Keeper of Contracts], whose presence she could not fully discern.
Subaru and Bell were one thing, but Zhongli—who appeared fascinated by this world—stood utterly still at the edge of the battlefield, resembling more a caretaker than a warrior.
An idea struck Fu Hua. She sidestepped an attacking Honkai Beast and, with a subtle kick, sent it hurtling toward Zhongli and his group.
Crack, crack, crack!
Before the Honkai Beast could land, golden Geo spears erupted from the ground, skewering the creature effortlessly as if piercing through tofu.
Zhongli followed the trajectory of the beast back to Fu Hua, his expression calm and unreadable.
After a brief pause, he turned his attention back to Subaru and Bell.
Subaru appeared utterly exhausted, hands on his knees and chest heaving for breath. In front of him lay a Dead Apostle, its head missing, its body crumpled on the ground.
"Well done. Remember how this feels," Zhongli instructed. "Ordinary people rely on muscle memory to retain martial skills. But you're different. You must imprint these techniques in your mind and consciousness."
"Thank you!" Subaru panted, wiping sweat from his brow. "I'll never forget what you've taught me today."
"There's no need for thanks. This is simply the fairness of a contract," Zhongli replied, shaking his head slightly before turning to Bell.
Bell, being a divine adventurer, was using breathing techniques to recover faster than Subaru. Though winded, he managed a polite bow.
"Thank you for your guidance today, Mr. Zhongli. I apologize for delaying your points collection. When we return, I'll transfer all the points I can spare to you. Please accept them."
"There's no need," Zhongli said with a wave of his hand. "As I've said, this is a fair contract. While part of my attention is on guiding you, the majority is focused on analyzing the Honkai energy in Changkong City. It's fair and equitable."
"Still, thank you, Mr. Zhongli!" Subaru shouted, determination burning in his eyes. "I understand now! I'll stop running away. I'll work hard to improve myself—to become a man worthy of Emilia!"
"Your resolve is commendable," Zhongli remarked with a faint smile. "Carry it forward."
