Morax the Geo Archon: Billionaire in the Chat Group

Chapter 15: I, the Geo Archon Morax with 2.1 Billion Mora, Have Joined a Chat Group [15]

"This is my world, a world ravaged by Honkai," Fu Hua said softly, almost as if murmuring to herself.

Zhongli glanced at her, momentarily moved. Just as he was about to speak, the chat group emitted a system notification:

[Upon entering a world affected by Honkai for a period of time, the user has developed a partial Honkai resistance.]

The message startled Zhongli, and he immediately noticed something unusual within his body.

A strange, indescribable energy coursed through him—an energy even he, with his vast knowledge, could not entirely comprehend.

However, it was so weak compared to his divine power and mastery over the Geo Element that it was akin to a drop of water in an endless ocean.

Within moments, his body had resisted and neutralized the energy, producing antibodies against it. His Geo abilities confirmed that he could now manifest something akin to an elemental shield.

Furrowing his brow slightly, he turned to observe the others.

They stood frozen, seemingly staring into empty space.

They must be reading the chat group message as well, Zhongli surmised.

A few seconds later, the others began to snap out of it.

"Honkai resistance! Ha, how interesting!" Accelerator sneered, then suddenly grew agitated.

He stomped on the ground, launching himself high into the air as if walking on the air itself. Within moments, he landed on a distant street.

Boom!

Though the impact didn't seem particularly forceful, the resulting shockwave was devastating.

In an instant, everything within hundreds of meters of Accelerator was obliterated, leaving a smooth, leveled surface.

"Come on, then—show me what you've got, Honkai!" Accelerator's arrogant shout echoed far into the distance under the clear blue sky.

"Reckless."

Fu Hua shook her head lightly and turned to address the others.

"In my world, Honkai energy is omnipresent. Once it accumulates, it erupts violently, transforming regions into desolate ruins like Changkong City.

"For ordinary people in this city, their bodies are too fragile to resist. They are instantly infected by Honkai, becoming emotionless zombies.

"At first, these zombies are weak, but as they gather, the concentration of Honkai energy increases, accelerating their evolution.

"Eventually, they transform into Dead Apostles, and the dense Honkai energy spawns Honkai Beasts. So, your presence here will likely attract Honkai reactions."

"The chat group system informed us that we've developed minor Honkai antibodies," Zhongli said, his calm gaze fixed on Accelerator in the distance.

"Precisely." Fu Hua followed his gaze. Accelerator's commotion had already drawn the attention of numerous Dead Apostles and Honkai Beasts within the city.

Accompanied by billowing smoke and an ominous roar, a massive wave of Honkai energy surged toward Accelerator's position.

"Before you arrived, I used points to ask the chat group system about this. The answer was that, as inhabitants of worlds grown on different branches of the Imaginary Tree, your physiology grants you natural antibodies against Honkai. If the system isn't lying, you needn't worry about infection."

Fu Hua's explanation visibly relieved Subaru Natsuki and Bell. Zhongli, however, furrowed his brow again.

"They're here," he said, raising his voice slightly to alert the others.

Following his gaze, the group turned toward Accelerator's direction.

There, they saw an unending tide of Honkai Beasts and Dead Apostles surging forward like a flood.

The mere sight of the horde was suffocating. Massive Honkai Beasts lumbered alongside swarms of Dead Apostles, their sheer numbers overwhelming.

Fu Hua surveyed the scene and nodded in satisfaction.

"At least one-third of Changkong City's Honkai Beasts and Dead Apostles have been drawn out. Arrogant people can be useful, after all."

She turned to Zhongli and Reimu. "Mr. Zhongli, Miss Reimu, will you join me?"

Zhongli gave a slight nod. "Having accepted the mission, I am bound by contract. I shall uphold it."

Reimu answered with action instead of words.

Leaping high into the air, she soared like a swift swallow, gracefully maneuvering in the sky. The yin-yang orbs tied to her hair expanded, orbiting her as they floated around.

At some point, a ceremonial wand appeared in her hands, its surface glowing with a gentle, holy light.

"I'll head in as well," Fu Hua said with a faint smile before launching herself toward the advancing horde.

Zhongli, however, remained still.

He turned to Bell, who looked eager to fight, and Subaru, who stood frozen in fear.

With a gentle smile, he said, "Subaru, before we came to this world, I promised to protect you. So, there's no need to worry.

"As for you, Bell, I also once promised to guide you in martial arts. This will be a good opportunity to train together."

"Follow me."

With a light tap of his foot, Zhongli manipulated the rubble-strewn ground.

Rumble.

Rocky steps emerged, forming waves of stone that carried the three of them toward the edge of the battlefield.

Soon, Subaru and Bell found themselves near the frontlines. A few Dead Apostles noticed their arrival and began to approach.

Zhongli clapped his hands lightly.

Massive stone walls erupted from the ground, dividing the battlefield into separate sections and isolating the Dead Apostles.

Turning to the stunned Subaru and Bell, Zhongli spoke calmly, drawing their attention back to him.

"I've created two rooms with these walls. Subaru, the left one is yours—it contains only one Dead Apostle. Use this opportunity to safely hone your combat skills. If you're in danger, I'll intervene."

"Bell, the right one is yours. It has three Dead Apostles. I believe your abilities are sufficient to handle them. Focus on fully utilizing your strength, and I will guide you during and after the fight."

"Well then, you may begin."
